Ok, so the form A I meant is for Personal Travel Allowance not school fees payment and you need a return ticket. The terms and conditions are you must have an account with a particular bank and put in a particular branch for disbursement when submitting your Form A application. Also, you can only get $2,000 to $2,500 max in my experience but you'll get it in 2-3wks guaranteed.

If you or anyone else is interested or needs further information, you can reply this post or shoot me an email.

Peace ✌️
thanks for the info, please which bank gives up to 2500?

You are a genius, I love you!
olokings:
you see this life is simple. true and genuine systems are set up to make the achievement of your intent very easy. if you wanna achieve a goal, and you refuse to put in the work, the system will make it super easy for your to fail. someone who is intent on acquiring a study visa from IRCC, and do not know the position of the western world with regards to plagiarism, then do not have any business going there to study in the first place, hence the need to fail fast and fail foward by plagiarism significantly word for word a draft which is posted online. indirectly i have simply saved the system of one olodo who will go there and cause even more problems (you get the idea there!).

Furthermore, let me put it straight to you that, everyone who have applied for and gotten their study permits, even so called agents and gurus, they use a framework / format of SOP which they copied from somewhere. you just gotta know how to use reference materials when trying to solve a problem. if you dont know how to do this in the first place, then there was no way you could have been able to scale the study permit trails.

hence, i am not scared of transforming my SOPs & LOEs into draft templates. Plus, to be on the safe side, i have crossed the chasm, and passports are cooling off.. if one not so smarticles person ga'an copy and even join copy date of birth (remember those that copy matric numbers? lol), he / she will be doing the system a service for swift refusal.

i do not even need to put a caveat. just go to google and type SOP for canada study permit, you will see tons of them. so qualms.

however, the smart ones that have a real shot at this venture, will find this effort super useful. we should hide resources and be dropping only PPR statistics on the platform. it does them no service whatsoever.

plus, about reviewing people's SOP, ayam not an agent, not even a guru, plus i dont have the time to handle that, talkless of the fact that i do not like reading.

E fit be one chance oo, a lot of fraudulent actions going on with fake airline agents, why don't you walk down to the airport and make your payments. First reserve your seat and then go to their office at the airport, if you are not in the departing city, you can have your family or a trusted FRIEND do that for you, don't risk it except you are sure of the account number. Double verify!

Good morning my family…..

Congratulations to those that got their PPR, to those still waiting, I pray it shall end in praise, and to those refused, please stay strong, re-strategize and fire back again.

Please for those who have used the Qatar airlines to Canada, what is your review? Are they good?

Also, they said I will not be able to pay for my ticket online with my bank card from Nigeria, they sent me a GTBank account number and asked me to walk into the bank and pay.

Please I want to ask how true this is make person no go enter one chance.

This is not easy waiting for good news , but you said your notes states that proof of Income not provided , well if you can I will suggest that you write an LOE explaining the full detail of the type of business you do to get the income after the explanation you now indicate that you attached some proofs of this income that's the receipt to justify this incomes because it's not enough to show account statement and then show receipt without due explanations as per how the business runs to generate such income and this sometimes may happen when the income is assumed to be bigger than the business .
Good luck wishing you the best of outcome

@olokinngs, you're on point as regards being open and truthful. I did likewise with my application as regards my proof of address I got from the residence mgt of the on-campus hostel. When I could not resume at the specified date by their calendar schedule, I was asked if they could revoke my allotment which I answered in the affirmative. And they did. Immediately contacted ircc via the webform to inform them about the development with evidence of our correspondence and the revocation letter. So that they know the proof of address won't be available and applicable for my use again

please which is cheaper? Accommodation on campus or off?

Thanks for sharing. Please can DLI be changed while awaiting a decision to be made on one’s study permit application?

Yes! you can change DLI while application is ongoing, but be sure to update IRCC with your new LOA and DLI. I just switched to a new DLI and I updated by raising webforms and sending emails.

LANDING GIST:

Hi, everyone! I traveled to Montréal yesterday from the Lagos Airport. My trip was a fairly pleasant experience because my mom has a work colleague at the airport and he led me through the entire thing seamlessly.

My ticket had a layover at Istanbul and it was a very dramatic step-up in aviation from MMA. It was easy to navigate their system without requiring any help from anyone. I could pay in dollars and anywhere I turned, a huge screen with precise information reminded people when and where to be for their flights.

The flight to Montréal was uncomfortable because I'd never flown longer than 6 hours at a time before now. This was like 11 hours. Also, airplane food is kinda gross. I'd recommend taking snacks in your carry-on to anyone traveling here.

On getting to Montréal, I went to the Port of Entry where I got my study permit and the guy who spoke to me was really nice. I was prepared for all sorts of questions about my intent and whatnot but he just asked my school, my major and made some jokes. Then he let me in.

My father and his sister were waiting for me at the arrival section and everything else that's happened has felt like a dream. His sister drove us to our apartment and I remember looking out the window and just realizing that I was in a completely different ecosystem. I didn't recognize any buildings, people, animals. Even the people in the car I was with. I mean I'm literally getting adopted into a new family.

It is a theatrical change from my years in Nigeria and one I definitely wish for whoever desires it. I'm reportedly lucky to be here this time of the year because it's not cold. Just chilly. I've been outside with regular clothes and it's pretty fine.

I don't start classes till Winter or Summer - still deciding cause I deferred for a year when my visa application lingered - so I'm excited to spend the next few months exploring all the resources at my disposal. I'm so grateful for all the information I've picked up from this forum. Thanks everyone!

NB: Does anyone know how I can go about getting a new passport for myself here? I was advised to do that by immigration because it expires next year. Also, how long does it take? I've heard there's a place in Ottawa, can anyone confirm this?

Hello.
Thank you for reaching out

I changed schools because I wanted another program. I didn’t even attend class for a day in the other school or pay. I deferred the admission to start for September to give me time to apply for other programs. I only paid deposit that I paid before I left Nigeria.
I always knew that was non refundable so it was a sacrifice to get me what I wanted.
Yea I get, all the best dear, I'll be in your DM as usual

So the way I did it. I did registration for the school I came in with. Unfortunately/fortunately I couldn’t resume cz my sister got sick here and she has a baby so I deferred the previous admission till fall. And I started applying to another school. When I got the admission I just updated IRCC on my portal about DLI change.

The normal process is for you to even start the first school. Maybe for a few weeks before you change but I had a valid reason for o starting.
oh I guess all my questions are answered here, I'm just seeing this! Thanks!

Hello everyone…

School and having to work has been a roller coaster but I wouldn’t have it any other way..

Recently changed schools and program this fall from the school I came in with from Nigeria in March.

I’ll try as much as possible to be present here and share my little knowledge with anyone available..

Wishing everyone else that have applied and planned to apply a successful application.

wow Beejay! Good to read from you after a long radio silence, trust you've been well and achieving all you want to achieve?
thanks for the best wishes, we will testify soon!

So you changed school and course after one semester? May I know your reasons for changing?
Were you refunded part of your tuition since you didn't complete the academic year? Did you change DLI?
Missed you on this space

By your explanation naira has lost value so your refund will be at the new rate. You will gain

If naira were to be N400/$1 it means it has gained value from the previous $1/N419 so you will loose part of your funds.
Yesboss, thanks for the explanation
Hope it's clearer now

Please explain clearer, if the transaction was done wen rate was $1/419, and say on the credited day $1/450 will it be a loss?
johnstan:

Pele, international refunds are not like local refunds, they take time.

Your refund was initiated on May 20th and it took flywire till July 14th to refund your local bank here, that's almost 2 month's.
Before it gets to your account from flywire it might take same time frame just chill and keep following up.

Mind you, the refund will be at the dollar rate for the day it will be credited to your account, so if naira appreciates by then you will receive lower than you transferred to your school and vice versa.

Good luck.

While you wait you can try Seneca college, I was given admission within weeks too, I sent them a DM on IG and was given an application fee waiver code. I didn't go ahead with them cos i was expected to pay the full First semester fee as deposit within 3weeks after the admission. I didn't check to know if they have a refund policy so please check before you make any payments supposing you opt for them.

Good luck.

"Hi ...

I have been in contact with IRCC this afternoon about the statuses of your families applications and I do have some updates. All three applications are still within standard processing times.

Your application has been received and is being processed in the Nairobi Visa Office. You have passed your Criminality Assessment, no other Assessments have been started yet. There are no out standing documents on file.

Your husband’s application has also been received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. He passed his criminality as well. No other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents.

Your daughter’s application was also received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. Her Criminality Assessment is in progress and no other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents here either.

I will follow up with IRCC about the status of these applications again in 4 weeks and update you accordingly."

However, when checked my dashboard, the background check is yet to be updated.
