Since after the Taraba state election tribunal proceedings and judgement, I lost confidence in the election tribunals. Imagine granting an appellant what she did not ask for.
The Legislature and the Executive can afford to blunder. But the Judiciary? I shudder to think about it and I hope our president knows the implications.

Amaechi did not replace Omeha half way into the election. PDP had already won the election and since Amaechi won the primaries, the law recognised him as the party candidate hence the Supreme Court decision.

The constitution and electoral act are both silent in the event of the present situation in Kogi state. So therefore, it is left for INEC as the umpire to take a decision based on the spirit of the law and what they can infer to be the intention of the drafters of the law. If PDP is not satisfied with INEC's decision, they should go to court.

NO. What INEC should do is to go to court and get a legal backing and pronouncements on what to do. The AGF is not a Court and can never tell INEC what to do.

You mean somebody that came second in an election cannot be declared winner under any circumstances? Go and study the Electoral Act very well.

During the Taraba state Election Tribunal proceedings, there is this notion of "DOCTRINE OF WASTED VOTES ".
I think this notion should apply here since it is a dead end and the Electoral Act never envisaged such absurdity. It can be amended LATER to take care of such cases in future. You can not amend the Act with a retroactive effect.
So Wada of PDP should be declared winner.

I can't just understand the noise about this TSA issue when a simple search on google will show you all you need to know about TSA and Remitta. For your information, the contract between the FG and Systemspecs (owners of the Remitta software) concerning the TSA was signed by the PDP-led government under GEJ and not Buhari, and they are well documented. Be smart people and stop turning yourselves to hopeless e-warriors and tools in the hands of politicians.

But when this administration wanted to strictly implement this policy, most APC supporters hailed Buhari but now that there is complain, you remember Jonathan . Why didn't Buhari fine tune the policy before rushing in in order to take the credit.

Almost 400,000 votes adjudged "wasted ", for whatever reasons, doesn't seem right for our democracy. So the minority will now be ruling over the majority. Something is wrong with this judgment and I hope the Court of Appeal sorts it out.
