They had to create a special penalty for him to take. And also shifted the penalty spot very close for him to be able to score. I don't know why we bother with these charades in this country |
"Your state? My state is Edo. Search for my previous posts here on nairaland. 3 flyovers? That will be commendable if he gets it done. The problem with you, just like many others is that y'all narrow minded. So the politicians gets very little or nothing done cos all you people care about are mundane meaningless things: "who respected the Oba", "culture, traditions", bla bla bla bunch of intangible things.. By the time the politicians make so much noise about those things, you forget they collect billions every month of your money. You will now come here and be shouting "flyover, flyover". Then the cycle continues. Oshiomhole came in and said Lucky Igbinedion did not respect Oba, obaseki came in and said Oba should not keep artefacts, Okoebholo has entered and said Oba can keep artefacts. Is that the governance? Outline your economic blueprint and policies with practical steps for implementation, stop talking about Oba this Oba that, kedeojo: |
Someone wore leather leggings and a top barely covering her ass line.. And mounts pulpit... |
Still the same basic populism - deify the Oba, win the support of the people of Edo South. Do a few white elephant projects, invest heavily in PR... 2years is gone. Then in the 3rd and 4th year, abandon governance and invest heavily in re-election campaign. |
Which "black south Africans"? Please stop that joke. When you go to South Africa, I'm not even talking about the rural areas, I'm talking Pretoria, Cape Town, Joburg, etc... You see the prosperity of the whites and the blacks looking so wretched, with drawn faces, they know they don't belong there, in their own country! That is why they lash out every now and then with xenophobic attacks. Julius Malema is trying hard to see how blacks can have economic empowerment cos the whites have a stranglehold on that. Oga stop explaining yourself and being apologetic, you owe no one nothing. The man (not God) you served for so long doesn't have two heads, you're a General in your own right, go out and let your light shine. I once worked in a construction company owned by a man, I was his right hand man, and he was giving me story about joining him to enjoy when the company gets big. I just laughed cos na bobo. Black man no get that mentality, na only dem and bloodline dem know, no matter wetin you do. Abroad, dem go make you partner, here, you remain an employee till you kpai. And if they sense you've served for too long and contributed immensely to the success of the organisation, they feel threatened, not by you taking the company from them, but in making you part owner, however small that share is. |
Not worth it bro. That is a waste of effort. The biggest punishment is to simply dump the olosho. People will laugh at you more cos you're showing it pain you Chucks13: |

Opay advert bot, you try, you have earned your stipend skywalker240: |
The commercial banks are by far superior to opay and the likes. The commercial banks are the backbone of the economy. Even in the advanced western world that are the headquarters of tech and fintech, conventional banks still rule because of the magnitude of their operations on the economy. Fintech is just a small subset of the main banking. The good thing is that the commercial banks are rolling out their fintech arms and people are signing up fast for them e.g Hydrogen of Access, Alat of Wema, Vulte of Polaris etc... Cos people want that extra security of knowing that yes, this is fintech, but I know it's parent company in case anything goes wrong. That opay bot running mouth about opay being registered by ndic bla bla, ask him, what is the extent of ndic coverage? You think serious business, multinationals, government etc will take you serious when you present opay as your banker for major projects funding? Kids full this nairaland sha. |
Nothing! That is not how it works, if not, nobody will move forward in life. The spiritual realm does not work that way. Walai: |

I think the black man has a fundamental problem. See people are squabbling over religion - is he a Christian? is he a Muslim? What is his tribe? These are the only things Nigerians are interested in. These are the only things that shape a Nigerian's thought process. I have never seen a more vacuous population. The irony is, the same Nigerians think they are so enlightened. |
For 8years Buhari was travelling abroad for medicals and "rest", you didn't ask him that. Tinubu is doing the same, you didn't ask. Can't you see you're just a hypocrite?
No place at all to rest in the state he governed for years or anywhere all over our darling nation? Ye ye dey smell.
|
The gods of men cabal. It's funny how easy it is to make money off people. You don't even need to pretend doing a miracle, just have a fake air of being important, people will flock around you, looking for what is not missing. My former roommate in school told me how he went to spend the holidays with his uncle who was a senior staff at Olam farms, while his wife was a senior staff at Nigerian Breweries. Very wealthy family. That was how end of year 2013, the wife went to invite one so called pastor to come and do special prayers for the family. The pastor requested pieces of clothing like boxers, singlet, of each person to be prayed on as point of contact. The uncle died the following year. My roommate himself died last year. |
Yarning dust... You wanted to contest, the man said you shouldn't that you're from the zone that just ruled, and that in the interest of fairness, power should go to the zone that haven't ruled since 1983. You got angry, and decamped, where you went to, they told you the same thing. But out of spite, you decided to be an enemy. The man is not going to be lonely nothing, he is a technocrat who ruled well and prioritised what mattered most like education. My little nieces are attending public schools and I'm impressed the standard the governor set in that sector. |

It is so baffling why this is such a major problem in Southern Nigeria, especially the southwest. A person will feel so entitled to what doesn't belong to them. We are just calling them fanciful names "omonile", "agbero", "area boys", etc.. They are all criminals! If they see a way to get access to firearms, they won't hide under the cloak of omonile, but will directly attack you and take your property. |
100% right. I was married to an ibo lady before, they cheat whether you're abroad or in nigeria. Mine cheated right under my nose. I didn't know, but that period, she kept lamenting how she missed staying alone Coldspice: |

There is nothing fantastic in those videos. The sex was nothing you have not done before, in fact, if they put a camera, you will see, you're far more fantastic in bed than him. It is the psychology of the scandal that makes it look like he is too good. Dronedude: |
I don't care. It has nothing to do with me |
Is N1.4b money? Using adjectives like "shock waves", "far reaching implications" and other dramatic terms. |
Words on the marble. When it happened to me, my initial reaction was anger and indignance, but curiously, it made her even insult me!,and kinda made her feel triumphant, even blamed me for the affair, threw in one or two fake tears... that I should just move on, etc etc,..I couldn't believe my ears, then, I just realized that hey, it's not my problem, my worth is not tied to what someone else decided to do with themselves. So, my mind was at peace and I grew cold and told her, see madam, whatever you did has nothing to do with me, I think you should go be with this guy full time, she at first thought it was like before when I was angry, and wanted to start with the fake anger, I just waved and said, see, me I don't care, it's a free world. And I'm leaving, she started panicking, shouting, even tried to physically fight me l, saying "ehn after 6years of being together bla bla bla, I said, life is a choice, and I've chosen to leave. That was how I left. And I've been happier for it. Namaster: |
