My own concern in this issue is why did the Chinese that borrowed us the funds didn't install such an important device before commissioning.

Did they tried installing it and was told not to?

How will Nigeria pay back the loan if the train service is been disrupted.
Was that part of the requirement or scope?

Where I have problem with Google is that they don't do verification checks on these apps. It's an open source platform, hence any web or app developer can just wake up one day and develop a loan application. Not licensed, not registered. And there is it on Google with so many fake reviews. How can Google bots not detect spam reviews? The spam reviews are so much more than the real review, so it doesn't have any effect on the rating of that app. So Google won't pull such an app down. But I think Google should be able to have a contact in Africa where grievances can be made. I can just wake up one morning as an app developer and develop an app to recruit terrorists. And Google won't still know about it. This is the main reason why most app developers prefer Google than Apple. It's so easy on Google, whereas not that easy on Apple.
You cant just wake up and publish an app on the play store. It goes through an approval process where it is scanned for bugs and flaws.

So No, my Smartphone runs Android. Android is not Google as well. Google is the most advanced search engine. But it isn't the only one out there. Google doesn't work in China. So there are loads of cases that have proven that they can work with Google. And No, the government is not banning Google. They don't want Google to make the apps of these loan sharks available for download in Nigeria. And it's not that hard a request
Google Inc.
Android Inc., was bought by the American search engine company Google Inc., in 2005. At Google, the Android team decided to base their project on Linux, an open source operating system for personal computers.

a fair request, google will only ban or remove an app if it is a rogue application. The government of the country, through proper financial services regulation, would have to monitor/sanction the operators.

The Internet is not Google. It may not make sense but a simple firewall configuration will block Google and all its subdomain completely.

Google search? Use Duck Duck Go or Bing
YouTube? Use Plex
Google Map? Openmaps

Google is NOT the Internet
Yeah right we have so many alternatives, why are people not using them? Even your android phone is powered by Google. A search engine that indexes more than a trillion websites using state of the art algorithms leveraging AI and ML and your govt wants to block it. Talk about self destruction!

It was a rough joke. He should be able to know that jn the industry of comedy you dont say things directly to people present. Consider the crowd laughing. U aresaykng this cos you are a guy. Women dont like people laughing at them cos ot is very demeaning. Why will he tell her she will star in G.I 2? This is a lady we are talking about and not Buhari.
Go and listen to Alan Carr and Frankie Boyle, you would realise that Chris Rock's jokes are way too mild.

Appropriate punishment is the award being taken away and him being ejected from the Academy.
No emotions involved.
Clear judgement.
I'll give you another example - there's something called a moral turpitude clause usually inserted in employment agreements, whereby if an employee does something deemed morally wrong, irrespective of their job performance and whether it was work - related, the employer can terminate their employment on those grounds. I'm aware of instances where that was applied.

So I think that the Academy should take away their (not his) Oscar from Smith. He doesn't deserve it, because he doesn't represent their stated values.
So true, People have been literally dismissed based on their social media comments. He could have walked out of the awards to show his disaproval of the joke.

This is it right here. I don’t know how Alopecia became a disability. We get all too touchy about too many things when in fact it is a comedians job to elicit laughter. The fact is Will Smith was way out of line, and if he felt too strongly about the joke perhaps he shouldn’t have been laughing in the first male. So much for pseudo masculinity.
The same woman that was having entanglement with one young boy like that...dude is a butt of jokes

It's an app that acts like a wallet for all your bank cards. It makes it easier for you to switch cards and payments. It's also serves as a layer of protection for your payment card information. Google to read more.

Amex is literally one of the best credit cards out there. Its even better now. They've increased the validity of their companion vouchers and i believe they've reduced the spend threshold to get one.

I remember we talked about this a few years ago. Glad to hear you were finally accepted.

https://www.nairaland.com/4158866/living-uk-life-uk-immigrant/56#69928220

2 for 1 companion voucher. Avios for any penny spent. Cash back from certain retailers. "No questions asked" fraud protection (which i have benefitted from after my card was used for fraudulent software purchase). Another example of their world class service can be seen in the documentary INVENTING ANNA grin

My credit limit is now close to 20k and I have declined any further increase grin
You no dey forget things sha. cheesy They declined me several times until I used ori iya mi to beg them.
If I didn't I keep rejecting their credit limit increases, it would have reached 50k by now. I'm on 22 right now, hence my calling them cheerful giver. I have not used the companion voucher yet as I have various asunles. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow Curve, my avios would have gone through the roof. Nice and cool company to deal with too!
