nnamdibig:Fear lawyers my brother. With about 10% or more of that money going to his pocket, a clever lawyer will go to court, look for technicalities and win the case for that woman. That woman look more clever than the family the way I see it. |
l have this former student of mine who hasn't been working since he completed HND in 2012 and NYSC in 2013. l supervised his HND project and he happened to be a fantastic boy. He was President of the campus fellowship of CAC during his time. After complaining to me that he hasn't been able to secure a job for the past four years, l tried to speak to three individuals among the alumni association of the institution who have created their own jobs to help employ him. Two of them recently invited him for interview. The first one was in June and the second one in August. I just discovered that he hasn't been calling me and those employers didn't bother to tell me anything about him. l bumped into him yesterday afternoon and asked why he didn't bother to update me on the job interviews. He apologised and politely told me those jobs aren't God's will for him. I was surprised to hear this. I called the two people who invited him and they told me he claimed the job isn't God's will for him only after they've discussed salary. One of them even offered him 60k which is higher than what Ondo State Government offers entry point graduates/HND holders (l live in Akure). I'm confused because this is a guy who is presently living with his uncle and he told me his uncle's wife is already pressurising her husband to send him away since he's not working. l concluded that he must have talked about this God's will thing with his uncle and his wife. This is funny to me or how do you see it? |
icon007:Thank God some people are already volunteering suggestions and advises for the op, that you have no suggestion doesn't mean others don't too. How can you draw conclusion that he isn't properly trained just because he bared his mind, thinking he'll get genuine suggestions on the way forward, God guide your mind bro. |
Alcatraz005:The same way GEJ protected your interest by looting your destiny and those of your unborn children? |
kennybabs1980:What she wanted is just to gain control of the man. She will curtail his expenditure and possibly prevent him from taking good care of his extended family. How can a woman complain about a little gesture shown by her husband to an uncle who sponsored his university education? That guy must stand his ground but use love to explain things to her and let her know she have nothing g to fear. Let me ask, have they built their own house? |
Jimmy is my friend from primary school, the first born among 4 boys. They lost their dad while we were in primary 5. Their mother had to really struggle to finance Jimmy's education to school cert. Jimmy later took up a job as a clerk with Ondo State government where he used his money to sponsor his brothers. The immediate younger brother of Jimmy, Rotimi eventually attended FUTA where he read Mechanical Engineering, Dele read Accountancy at Owo Poly and Biodun read Mathematics at Adekunle Ajasin University. All of them are gainfully employed today. Jimmy had to do part-time studies to get HND in Business Administration later. Today he's in level 10. The issue is that Jimmy now had to take care of their aged mother, and his own family of 4, himself, his wife and their 2 kids. He even had to marry late because of his responsibility to his kid brothers. These brothers aren't coming to his assistance at all even though they're working and doing well, doing big boys in SUVS around. They aren't even helping their old mum. I heard from my wife that Jimmy's children report cards are still in their school three weeks after end of session, I called him and he told me he hasn't completed their last term fees. He said he is still battling the effect of nonpayment of salaries by the immediate past government of Ondo State. His salary now is being shared by the bank he took housing loan from. He can't even complete the house since he had no access to another loan having not completed the last one he took. He said his brothers hasn't been responsive to his plight even though he told them. I told him I'll call Rotimi who works in an oil service company and drives a Prado each time I see him, he insisted that having told him of his predicament several times when salaries were not paid and he didn't do anything, there's no need calling him again. These guys are mean meen, they are irresponsible even to their old mum who now lives with Jimmy. |
Daddy G.O. visited and prayed with our president just yesterday Today our president is back home. Thank God for Daddy and Mummy Adeboye Thank God for PMB Thank God for PYO Thank God for Nigeria. |
Mosesbutez:Capital YES. Just make yourself visible and get close to some Professors/Senior Lecturers who have PG students that are most times so busy to run data analysis personally. Be ready to do errand boy things sha o. I'm speaking from experience. |
You'll need to do some other things with it. Though you can make good money analysing data for people and training guys on it if you stay in a university/polytechnics etc environment where sciences and social sciences are offered. But with the present ICT revolution in Nigeria, many students especially the younger generations learns very fast and therefore now do their data analysis themselves and they teach their friends. Many will even do it for free for their friends. It can bring in some money but to rely solely on it? I don't think so. For example at FUTA, almost all students have a laptop and with that it's easy to learn and do data analysis. Nevertheless, there are many working class PG students who don't have the time, they use commercial data analysts. |

Bolu have been living in my bq for two years. She is the younger sister of my friend back in our university days. Her brother begged me to give her a room in my bq when she secured a small job at Akure in 2015. A very pleasant lady but she has a major flaw which is laziness. She will come around to us in the main building and eat supper most of the time. Sometimes during weekend she will eat breakfast, lunch and supper in my apartment. She is now 29. She told us that sometimes she will sleep without eating if she missed dinner in my place and cannot find prepared food to buy since we live in government quarters that's a bit far from Akure main City. My wife had to use style to ask her why at a time. She told her plainly that one thing she hate most in her life is cooking. She told my wife that any man that will marry her must be ready to prepare his meals. In 2016, her brother came around and ask her openly in my presence if she has stopped starving herself because of " her laziness" to which she responded that she owns herself and she's not complaining. She's a very lovely and beautiful lady though. The issue now is that a junior colleague of mine who is very close to my family (in fact I see him as a friend) has been dating her since late 2016. He started complaining about her attitude to cooking since June this year and seriously needed my advise. I couldn't tell him to stop or go ahead now, I wouldn't want to contribute to whether he married her or not so that he won't see me as the person who urged him on later. Please, what kind of advise should I give to this friend in need? |
I need to buy that phone urgently but I'm in Akure. |
