joeisreal:You're right! As the Town with the highest concentration of millionaires in the country, i'm sure it wouldn't lack for better looking drone shots than the ones shown. But this is a private effort. Ordinarily the unimaginative and visionless authorities or bodies concerned (ie- relevant state ministry in charge of tourism or investment; Nnewi local gov't; or Nnewi chamber of commerce and industry) ought to have done this without being prompted in order to sell their town better and be better placed to attract tourists, investors and other visitors! This is what you get when individuals who can't think outside the box are in charge! ![]() |
ckenneths:Impressive stuff! Is this really Oko or a highbrow area in Ikoyi? |
arinzeejikonye:If you give me just $1 Billion and leave me with Aba for just 4 years, i'll turn it into the best and most beautiful city in the entire country! |
Handsomegod:I've been there as well, and know of two families there: the Agoruas' and the Nwapas'. Oguta has succeeded in blending the planned layout of streets typical of cities, with the laid back, unhurried and calm atmosphere typical of most Igbo villages. The best time to enjoy the place is when everyone (at home and abroad) comes home for Christmas. The pristine lake is just an added bonus! Now i think of it, i can boldly say Oguta is the Igbo village that offers the best of both worlds (city and village living) and in my estimation even trumps Abiriba (small London) that seems to have more and better press. |
I suppose that Nigeria didn't exist before 1999, or it was managed superbly pre-1999 by Buharis' constituency...the army!? |
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'died in active service'! ![]() |
Looking at drone shots of Nnewi, it's obvious where their priorities lay; aesthetics, planned greenery and well swept streets are the last things on their agenda! It's all about 'ikpata that ego'! ![]() |
raker300:Is it just me, or does Nnewi look like parts of Ibadan? ![]() |
hammer6F:Bia, stop posting this unfounded cra'p on Igbo themed threads you dey hear me so!? You're no different from those two or three bastards (who might just be one person with multiple monikers) who are pretending to be Igbo, and who for the past two or three pages have been arguing between themselves (even posting pictures of dead brethren), all in a bid to try and portray Igbos in a bad light and derail the thread! You guys must be really mentally disturbed if your fear and hatred for Igbos can drive you to this point! |
ckenneths:Thank God the flooding didn't reach here! |
lionjungle3000:Well in fairness to them, table and lawn tennis is their own forte! ![]() |
Lipscomb:Rubbish! He has my full support! You fuc/k up your country by electing a bigot without a clue, and now you want to leave all the mess you caused for others to suffer while you rush of to readymade Italy and live large! Stay in your country and enjoy your 'dividends of democracy' courtesy of Buhari and APC! |
stankezzy:Hehehehe ![]() Igbo cunny! ![]() |
Hotfreeze:Hehehehe ![]() That's b'cos Tinubu didn't have a Buhari and APC to content with! I'd like to have seen how he would have coped with that power-hungry, remorseless and desperate lot against him! They take no prisoners! |
Freestyl:Rubbish! Whatever violence that occurred in the last Bayelsa gubernatorial election is down to Sylva and APC thinking they could intimidate and rig the election in their favour....all of which PDP and Dickson resisted vehemently! |
1st Oct' should be a day of national mourning! Just what da fuc/k are you celebrating? You're at the bottom or near the bottom of all developmental indices ever designed by developmental experts and you want to take a day off to celebrate and make merry!? Confused bunch of mudafuckers! ![]() |
qtx:I doubt it's a fight against boko haram! If boko haram was in the area, those soldiers wouldn't have been strutting confidently down the street with their chests puffed out! Rather they'd have ran to hide behind the nearest bush...dived into the nearest gutter...or ran full pelt towards the surrounding hills for protection! ![]() |
dadebayo1:Bros, they're getting away with it as we speak! It's the docile nature of the Nigerian electorate that's giving them the liver to be even more brazen with every subsequent election, and this brazenness will culminate in the 2019 presidential elections! |
Antipob777:You fools will always blame IPOB for every misfortune you face in life! What has IPOB got to do with any of the rubbish you posted up there? Or you feel everyone against your cursed and satanic gathering called APC must not only be Igbo, but an IPOB member as well! For you information, IPOB has given up on Nigeria and all that goes with it...and that includes the laughable charade you people call elections! Ndi ara! |
sexiestharam:B'cos they want to get him out at the earliest opportunity! You can bet he'll do 3 instead of 10 years. |
rock003:Try and cut him some slack...he's paranoid! ![]() |
Anyone know the criteria used in judging which state is 'peaceful' and which is not? Notice how they slipped in a Igbo mans name into the report to make it look innocent and above board? ![]() Ndigbo, if you don't know the sneaky media war going on to discredit you and your region, and place certain other regions above yours then you really deserve all the nonsense happening to you in this country! This so called 'report' will now be presented to the rest of the world with a smug look while telling them to 'come and invest in our own region as it's the most 'peaceful' in Nigeria'! ![]() |
Asquare84:If Nsukka had received half the attention and investments from the fed' gov't that other university towns like Zaria received, i'm sure it would look much better today. Though Ugwuanyi is trying....he's spruced the town up a bit with rehabilitated roads and street lights. |
NegroArea:Not maybe....it is! With Owerri coming a distant second! |
bantudra:Hehehehe ![]() See desperation....see shamelessness! ![]() |
naijaking1:Aunty Kemi would be sat in London reading this on her IPAD, and thanking her lucky stars she doesn't have to deal with this rancorous lot anymore! |
bantudra:Dude, you've still got your mind stuck in the 60s! You actually think if the ethnic groups in the area that formed the old eastern and midwestern regions want to opt out of Nigeria, that there's anything you can do about it....besides grovelling that is!? What's saving you now is that it's mainly an Igbo thing...you know this and this is why you're desperate the ethnicities in the regions concerned don't catch the secession bug as well! Anyone can notice this from the way you get worried and agitated when the Niger Delta or so called 'south-south' is linked to the agitation. Just know that the world and socio-political dynamics at play today are much different from what obtained in 1966/67! |
bantudra:Bring it on arsewipe! ![]() |
Karlovich:5pm at busy Ogba? I doubt it has anything to do with ritualists or abductors, since he's a big lad and must know the area. If his phone is switched off, it just makes the mystery all the more puzzling! Hope he hasn't ran off with the money...though being a only child, i doubt he'd be heartless enough to do that to his mum. |
If i could take Alaigbo out of Nigeria, finding qualified and passionate persons to govern us wouldn't be a problem. We've got a rich pool of talent to pick from: Aunty Ngozi....Soludo.....Muoghalu....the list is endless! ![]() |
