Our leaders in the North are not doing as expected of them but, they are a hundred times better than those from the East. We hold our leaders accountable if they are not doing as expected.

Bellow are pictures of the difference between a Northern leader and that of the East. Quarlity infrastructure is what we have in the North while, your leader do nothing. The ones that try will end up building sub-standard project, which might not last up to a month.

There's no contest between the North and the East a.k.a Poto land.
Dude, don't even go there!

This is the leeching, conniving muslim north we're talking about here! They that hate to hear anything secession because they know they'll amount to nothing more than a basket case if the better endowed south were to leave! You threaten war and send your bloodthirsty fulani soldiers down to Alaigbo at the mere inkling that a protest is in the offing! Why are you so terrified of being on your own?

The Kaduna airport you're showing is what was done up with federal funds so i can't see why you're using it to brag! AIIA Enugu is equally a federal airport, which has been left to deteriorate since the coming of your bigot god Buhari. It's problems have been left to fester and grow while you Igbo haters were doing up Kaduna airport to the nines under the guise of it being an alternate airport for the one in Abuja! You lot are as sneaky and as conniving as they come!

Besides, what you showed of AIIA was a flooded apron and runway! Last i checked, flooding is not a problem peculiar to just the south east!

You lot hold your leaders to account, yet we have the highest rate of poverty in your godforsaken region; we have the highest rate of illiteracy in your region; we have rampant cases of terrorism, banditry and kidnapping in your region; we have multiple cases of child marriage in your region; dude, i could go on and on!

What's helping you guys hold your head above the water in 'one Nigeria' and you know it!

You may not realise it, but you've just indicted one of your allies in the south east...Rochas! If you follow Igbo related threads (which i'm sure you do so you can know what those 'nya/miris' are planning), you'd have realised that Rochas' gov't has been panned on numerous occasions for the shoddy work he delivers on some of his projects! So you're not telling me something i don't already know!

Still on Rochas: in the event of Nigeria breaking up, you're more than welcome to keep him....together with the efulefu Joe Igbokwe! wink

That seat is too sensitive to be entrusted to someone outside the president's comfort zone... Every President appoints his confidant as the DG SSS.
Meaning that Buhari is insular and doesn't have anyone (particularly a Christian) he can trust from the southern part of the country....this is the president of Nigeria need i remind you!

Which now begs the question: does this insular bigot have any business being the president of a complex, diverse and multi-cultural country like Nigeria!?

Shame on you guys.
Do yourself a favour and STFU!

You that hold your own leaders accountable, can you tell us how your states are better than those in the south east!? Isn't it someone wanting to hold his leader accountable that brought this problem to light?

Anytime a issue requiring gov't attention is flagged up in the south east, mofos like you will always come with you superior-than-thou attitude of 'Ndigbo don't hold their leaders accountable', implying they should emulate you schmucks!

If Nigeria gets restructured or disintegrates, the assets and liabilities of the country would be shared equally among the states or regions! You would think those who get more now based on population and huge landmass would take more of the burden of paying off the loans as well as be entitled to more of the assets based on the existing sharing formula, but don't forget we're in Nigeria!

Hotel Presidential died fully during Chimaroke's regime. Government "subsidy" killed it because I recall his thugs and killer squad were permanently camped there at no profitable gain to the hotel management. Many government officials also had their suites which they acquired via executive fiat. Which business survives that way? The interior design of that hotel is cool cos I recall it has some halls and a longe on the basement. Knocking the entire structure down and rebuilding from the scratch na long thing bro. Let them redesign the old structure and enhance areas they wish to. With recent advances in engineering, the era of knocking down full structures to fix new ones are over. Improvisation is the in-thing. Every year, more than 2 milion tourists visit Italy. From Florence to Venice,Rome,Milan and the sandy beaches of Radidi. Most of these visitors only go to catch a glimpse of the Victorian architecture and the iconic structures litered all over Italy and other European countries like Vienna and Paris. We can create our peculiar architecture that will and can pull considerable crowd. Withn our environment here lies the key to our greatness as a people. I wish government can be run as a business and not the current cake sharing jamboree
The Anambra state government should please take note of the bolded! With regards to the Agulu Lake hotel, there should be a zero tolerance for gov't officials and big-shots trying to get a freebie or discount on the basis of being a gov't employee or knowing the governor!

No, you zip it!

Tell me in which society that purports to be democratic and not under military rule do you have the army (bristling with military hardware and live ammunition) conducting military excercises on the streets....even right into the suburbs and interior villages!?

Shouldn't they be conducting their so called military excercises out in the open plains, at secured locations away from the civilian population? That's if their intention is not to try and intimidate and murder in cold blood!

Fact of the matter is the police and the courts are supposed to be there to handle any perceived threats to life and property where civilians are concerned!

When they now call your darling Nigeria a shithole, a zoo and a joke you go begin dey vex!

Hate Chimaroke all you can,but there was no doubt that fella brought American quality standard and ideas in some of his iconic projects. This Esuth Medical College (Parklane) stands out. His rainbow net and Cosmo Fm were signature ideas too in Enugu. Enugu is a hidden jewel in the east. Complete the International conference centre,Complete the abandoned mega projects along Rangers avenue started by Chimaroke but siezed by EFCC,revive hotel presidential and hand it over to any international hotel franchise (Raddison Blu,Marriot ,Sheraton,IBIS etc),revive Cosmo and launch a company that provides 4G broadband Internet services, fix the roads in Emene industria estates, concession Akanu Ibiam airport and we have a city ready to take on the world. The requisite populace are already on ground to live up to the billing. Keep the shots coming bro!
The one of Hotel Presidential dey pain me pass! I can't understand how that hotel has defied subsequent gov'ts attempts at fixing it and making it world-class! Moreso, when you consider that Obiano has almost finished Agulu Lake which is roughly of the same size and handed it over to a reputable int'l hotel management grp to manage!

It's just clear that present and past gov'ts in the state don't see the hotel and the conference centre as priorities!

The hotel should not only be rehabilitated but also upgraded to accommodate more rooms. Left to me i'd knock the old shell down and build a bigger and more imposing edifice (at least 8 stories high) that can stand as a landmark in Enugu!

This is a normal thing. Enugu airport is a local state owned airport. We have only 4 international airports in Nigeria- Kano, Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja. Let Enugu state government focus for once in developing the state than waiting for the FG over a state project. Check airport traffic, the one of Enugu is almost zero, so what is the need of investing in it? I think Stella goofed and FG just realised that the airport is a waste of scarce resources that should have been channelled to other reasonable states for projects, and that explains why the airport has since been left to it's host state to handle. Please move to the next topic. cool
I think you're wrong here. Go and check the latest Nigerian airports statistics. I think you'll find that despite the fact AIIA closes once it's night time and despite the fact full international flight operations are yet to start, you'll find traffic for the airport is quite high...coming in 5th or 6th in the entire country! Obviously, with full int'l operations and the airport also operating after dusk, the numbers will increase. smiley
Politics › Re: . by Xander85: 1:55pm On Sep 13, 2018
Just to add that AIIA Enugu has no night time landing facilities, so once it's dusk flights can't land or take off!

He said Ethiopian Airlines have complained about this as it frustrates their cargo flight operations into the airport. Cargo flights unlike regular passenger flights don't have a scheduled time as i gathered from the clip.
Politics › Re: . by Xander85: 1:42pm On Sep 13, 2018
This is the most recent view of the new terminal at AIIA Enugu. It was supposed to have been commissioned last month (if i heard the narration right), but remains an unfinished empty shell as we speak! You can notice in the clip that some of the glass panes have even fallen off and the place looks abandoned and derelict.

Was watching NTA Network News a few weeks ago, and they were showing advanced works on the ones in Kano, Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja....they showed the interior of one of them (can't remember which now) and it looked good and almost ready for use.

The minister of aviation Hadi-Sirika talked about borrowing more money to expand the scope and design of these terminals (don't know if it's already been done as they looked much bigger than the one in Enugu), saying that some things were not included in the original design and plan!

The whole environment of AIIA is a disgrace, and looks like an abandoned airstrip in Mogadishu! This is a terminal that during the time of GEJ (esp' the Oduah period) was being treated and built equally with the other 4 which are soon to be commissioned for use.

I hope those wondering why i despise this country Nigeria can now begin to understand where i'm coming from!?

I just wanted to mention same to Spyder before I saw your update. Now,what was mentioned above is a Nigerian malaise. This is certainly a country where criminals and mass killers are adored and projected as angels of light. Till date, the premier airport in Nigeria was named after a genocciddaire and mass killer( Muritala Mohammed). Same mad man had his face adorning the Nigerian 20 naira note. He has a couple of other monuments here and there named after him. We have Sani Abacha barracks in Abuja. We have Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. We have Sani Abacha avenue in Maitama. Same Abacha that supervised a major dark episode in Nigeria history. We have another villian in the name of Yakubu Gowon named after a major street in Asokoro. The major dual carriage Way was named after same Gowon in Jos. Now,recently,Goodluck Jonathan boulevard in Central district was changed to Mohammadu Buhari Boulevard! Another sadist, jihardists and accomplice in genocide. The list goes on and on. Same as Awolowo who is the mass killer in chief! What about Tinubu? The entire Lagos landscape is dotted with his signature and names. Is there anyway Ifeajuna and Nzeogwu are not mentioned this way? They wil quickly spring villainous stories about the duo to discredit them but will turn around to sing lullaby of the other demons and killers in their own climes. Welcome to Nigeria! Are these mentioned men role models in any way? Far from! In saner climes, they belong to the hall of shame and infamy. But not in Nigeria where the devil reign supreme. Damn pitiful shame of a shithole!
Are you sure GEJ Boulevard in Abuja was renamed after Buhari? I doubt even the most bigoted and feudalistic person would have the gall to do that!

Tinubu Square in Lagos was named after a first republic minister i think.....no relative of the current Tinubu.

I agree with you. Things won't play out the same way like the last civil war. This time around total eradication and annihilation of Igbos might occur in the east as the Nigerian military has been acquiring weapons while Biafra has not.

That's why we say there are better ways to agitate, and not calling for genocide against Yorubas and Hausas.
'Annihilation'.....see the way it's rolling off your tongue like say e dey easy! If you had said this in the 60s i may have agreed with you, but in this 21st century, with all the enlightenment and Igbo diaspora?....It ain't happening mate!
