amaniro:Hehehehehe ![]() Bros in fairness to Adelaide, you had it coming! The clue is actually in the heading of the thread.....it's hard to miss! ![]() |
nrexzy:You're just clutching at straws! If you have nothing to say just STFU! How the hell can a so called Igbo man be justifying why the useless Buhari/APC gov't hasn't responded to a terrible incident in which up to 16 people lost their lives!? You're giving useless excuses that the people there were engaged in 'illegal bunkery'....'the road to the depot is terrible'.....and that the state gov't should 'first report to the federal gov't' before the federal gov't can react! So b'cos people were either scooping gasoline from a burst pipe or were in the vicinity of the explosion, this then now means their death is justified? You claim federal gov't can't just jump into state affairs, yet this same federal gov't are busy snooping around the state affairs in Ekiti and Rivers states looking for something....anything to use against their perceived enemies! All the rubbish you posted as excuses to exonerate Buhari and his gov't in this are excuses i would normally expect to hear from a rabid Igbo hater and not one who purports to be Igbo! |
Monimatic:Don't mind them! I wouldn't wish Nigeria on my worst enemy! ![]() |
CocoaOla:Pretty much! ![]() |
arinzeejikonye:See what a good camera can do! This is the first time i'm seeing Onitsha look this inviting! The air looks so clean and fresh! Almost doubted it was Onitsha...had to do a double take! |
arinzeejikonye:A big project like this, and no cranes? ![]() Can't tell how serious they are with the project and if the finished product will be in keeping with what's shown in the render, until we see more of the ongoing job and the equipment being used! From the little i see, looks a bit like one of those Rochas 'direct labour with head-pan' jobs! |
arinzeejikonye:Still can't make head or tail of this glass tunnel project! ![]() |
Enugupikin:Abia and Imo! Imo doesn't have decent rural roads if we want to be honest with ourselves! Abia is marginally better b'cos the state gov'ts over the years have built more rural roads than Imo....just that the quality of said roads leave a lot to be desired, unlike the ones built in Ebonyi, Enugu, and (to a lesser extent) Anambra! |
Would have preferred Soludo or Muoghalu. |
raker300:Looks like Onitsha is greening up gradually! ![]() |
ckenneths:This pic here shows just why village life can be sweet! Imagine being on holiday (not the busy Christmas period oh) and taking a quiet morning stroll down this road on a visit to a friend or cousin living at the other end of the village! Very laid-back and unhurried way of life! ![]() |
The quota-system, federal-character enabled kind of course! ![]() |
People can be so evil! As bad and homophobic as some Nigerians can be, i doubt they'd descend to this level! Last-last, they'll beat the guy up and leave it at that! ![]() |
magicminister:You're right! Hausa/Fulani is dragging the other two down to their level and it now reflects badly on all of us since we all share the same country! |
revolt:I've noticed that too! Same thing with Anambra! Imo and Anambra always used to drag first or second when it came to education. Anambra is still hanging in there...somewhat! But Imo has dropped off the radar! ![]() |
KanuIsCursed:Hehehehehe ![]() Serious case of sour grapes! It's just too hard to swallow when the people you despise are doing well....despite the hate! ![]() |
okalo:Could be he paid a visit to the loo when the pics were taken! ![]() |
zendy:I bet Ochendo-Globals' lawn isn't as well manicured as this! You can have an idea how cultured and classy a man is by the way his surroundings are! You can bet that if a man like this ever becomes Governor, the face of Aba would change for good...and i don't mean all the half-hearted patch-patch works we see being done today! ![]() |
SarkinYarki:Buhari, Oshiomole, et-al have other ideas! You must think you're in a sane society where your vote will count! ![]() |
You mean even little Somalia beat us!? ![]() |
limeta:.......are like two parallel lines that'll never meet! ![]() Sorry, just couldn't help myself.....just had to let it out! ![]() |
All na wash! As long as Buhari has the INEC, police, army...and even the judiciary in his pocket, the 2019 elections would be a walk in the park and a foregone conclusion! They will unleash the full brutality of the army and police on anyone foolhardy enough to raise any objections on the day....intimidate and cower the electorate (especially in opposition strongholds), and send in state-protected thugs to disrupt voting in select polling booths! By the time he's finished with you naive lot, you'll use your own mouth to shout 'oh my days' Elections conducted by the likes of Mugabe, Saddam and Ghadaffi would be childs play in comparison! ![]() Two things will happen next year: either Buhari rigs the election, and tells you if your not satisfied then head to court; or he will rig the election and they'll be a fight back, leading to protests, bloodshed and even death! There's no third way in this unfolding drama! |
Funnicator:Abakaliki seems to have one of the best network of inner-city roads in the entire south east! Just wish they could put in more effort in greening up, sweeping and beautifying these inner streets as well! All they have going for them at the moment are smooth roads and street lights....not much else! |
seborrhic:Bros, it's 'too much baggage'! Then again, i suppose 'garbage' better captures your sentiments on the matter! ![]() |
Rexnegro:Hehehehe ![]() Nice try! ![]() Have you given them the referendum they've been asking for before asserting they want Biafra? According to RexNegro, majority of Igbo want Biafra, hence they should leave the PDP VP position for the Yoruba abi? ![]() |

Dr Ngene wins NLNG’s $100,000 Science Prize Nigerian scientist Dr Peter Ngene has won the $100, 000 Nigeria Prize for Science for his “evolutionary” work in “Nanostructured metal hydrides for the storage of electric power from renewable energy sources and for explosion prevention in high voltage power transformers.” The Advisory Board of the Nigeria Prize for Science, sponsored by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas announced Dr Ngene winner of the prize at a press conference in Lagos. Chairman of the advisory board and a science prize laureate, Prof. Akpoveta Susu, said Ngene’s work is a new type of energy storage with implications on renewable energy development. The work also contributes to surmounting challenges in Nigeria around power transformers explosions due to degradation of insulators in the transformers. Ngene is an assistant professor in the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group of the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science, Utrecht University in The Netherlands. He is the recipient of the prestigious KNCV (The Royal Dutch Chemical Association) Van Arkel best PhD thesis (2012/2013) award, and the chair of the 2013 Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Metal-Hydrogen system in Italy. He was also recently recognised as one of African leading young scientists by the award of the prestigious NEF (Next Einstein Forum) fellowship by the Chairman of the African Union (President Paul Kagame). Reacting to the verdict, the Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Department at NLNG, Andy Odeh, said, “This work by Ngene can be one of the keys to the renewable energy jigsaw. We believe this is an opportunity to secure a niche market in Nigeria for energy storage, riding on the back on this new type of batteries developed from the synthesis of nanostructured composite materials used as solid state electrolyte. This award shows how NLNG is helping to build a better Nigeria,” Odeh added. The decision on the winning entry of The Nigeria Prize for Science was reached by a panel of judges, led by Professor Francis Oluwole, a professor of Physics. Other members of the panel are Professor Onyemaechi Ekechukwu and Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/dr-ngene-wins-nlngs-100000-science-prize.html ***** ***** ***** Congrats to the young Doc! He kinda looks like Iheanachos big brother don't you think? ![]()

oladele00:Mazi Kanu is the one man that almost got Nigeria to confront its demons and exorcise them from the polity! Alas, he's the truth you chose to ignore. |
