Ermm Op... Nice article you got up there. For someone who's job requires travelling 80% - 90% of the time, kindly advice on investment options. |
Nigerians no get chill at all. Not even 1 soul on this forum agreed with the IGP. Chai! I hope the next regime puts him on trial for the killings in the country during his regime. |
Why hand them over to the police? Mtcheeeeew |
This is terrible. From all indication, he was not wearing a harness belt. I hope the govt sues the company he was working for to their last kobo. Sometimes these guys are the problem. This may even be a suicide case. I remember trying to correct a man politely that he should take off his seatbelt while in a gas station. The man flared up oh asking me if I know better than him. All because I told him the safety implication of wearing a seatbelt in a gas station. When I see guys that ascend mast/heights without harness belt, I get scared. When you try to talk to them, they'll tell you that they have been doing it for 30yrs... |
To have money and also be in the seat of power is very good oh. Poverty, shame on you. On a normal day, somebody with this kain brain injury go don waka. By the time he gets to Germany, they'll give him another brain.Who says components of life have no duplicate? This is to tell you that 80% of deaths in our hospitals can be avoided. |
I hope the NASS is able to STOP this. |
The story is confusing. Enugu is not between the boundary of Imo and Rivers state please. Anyways good riddance to bad rubbish. I hope they rot in hell. Tiwaz2: |
No light in my house here in Abuja. Transcorp should be able to bring us back up. |
Innoson must have a designer na. How can such a big company not have one? Feraz: |
There may be but I dont know. We do have more of maintenance Engineers sha. That is the reason I have issues with NSE/COREN. All they do is task members for monthly dues. NLNG bonny is making plan for Train 7 FID. The project ofcourse would be designed by foreigners. The same for Onitsha flyover et al. |
This is actually an integrity issue. If I should falsify my age and the organization I work for discovers it, that alone would get me fired. |
I didnt come yesterday. My family stays here. Nnamdiojukwu: |
Bro, I stay in Abuja and yes since I came in on Friday, The light has been steady. We boast of 24hrs steady power supply here. SalamRushdie: |
Bleep tribalism... In my next world, I'll come from Lagos |
Thank you Callback. Ermmm... I think sometime in Nov, I saw in a news about a new policy submitted by NERC to Fashola that Bulk Electricity consumers could now buy directly from the GENCOs. A very awesome policy if effected and ofcourse that wont be a one day thing. That would also ease pressure on DISCOs and also make them sit up. callbackaugust6: |
Yea Sam... I am very much aware of the darkness been sold to the people by the DISCO. I am aware of the load rejections. Infact the Gencos implemented the GridCode solution to eliminate grid instability caused by load rejections. That was why I said the govt has to correct the inefficiency of the DISCOs/TCN SalamRushdie: |
We may not be generating enough but the problem isnt generation. Most of our power plants run below their capacities. Our problem starts with evacuation and then Distribution is crazy. Trust me if the Govt gets Distribution/Evacuation right and are able to pay the Gencos for the energy they generate, we'll experience a power boom in this country. Imagine borrowing money to buy gas, pay staff and all that and you generate 100% and you are only paid 20% Of what you generated... The govt, Discos and Transmission needs to up their game. ryd3: |
And that was the reason I lost 5 light bulbs in one day. |
Ragnar is checkmated on both sides... Men... I wish I could work for fun... Biggups man... ur story is dat bomb... please push in an update asap! |
This story got me glued to my laptop. You write very well... This should be a movie. Thumbs up man and please update us asap. |
There are smart prepaid meters that can be installed outside the house. They can also have monitoring teams that can carry out scheduled inspections on installed meters. buoye1: |
EFCC should probe the activities of these NERC executives/Commissioners... |
This is the more reason the DISCOs should meter their customers. Prepaid meter will solve that like magic. greatiyk4u: |
At what point does he notice the blood? While urinating after sex? the young man is below 40yrs, he shouldnt panic. It could be a benign case and should disappear in abt 1-3 months. I know how embarrasing it feels but he should stay calm. Meanwhile, he could run some lab test like UTI and then go on some antibiotics like ciprotab. He should see a Dr too preferably a urologist. |
Wonderful! The FG isnt smiling. |
Anytime Farez Feraz: |
The camera or photographer may have added some coloration to it. Beautiful captures btw. |
That was How Evans was caught, arrested and released later by some powerful being within the police force. |
Ermm... I carelessly used the word 'dilapidated' cos' a lot of things have failed in there. Yea you may say outdated. I cant say here if the smart grid solution idea has been sold to the FG but Smart Grid solution is an open secret. The metering ongoing is a very good thing. I think for the South, it is based on Customer request. LordeCalifornia: |
Feraz, sorry for my late response. I am currently at Odukpani power plant conducting some test on their units. Concerning the question, I have seen very true responses from some gentlemen. I didnt pick their names. Reason we dont have power in Nigeria. First, the govt regulatory agencies e.g. NERC are not living up to their responsibilities. They are not puting pressure on the DISCOs to meter their customers and also upgrade their hardwares. Hence the reason for load rejection and power outages. Here in Calabar, five units are available but there are only two producing energy and the grid frequency is 50.46hz which is quite high. Infact they had 3 on the grid but they were told to shutdown one because of high frequency. And I am very sure a lot of homes in Calabar do not have light at the moment. Secondly, the law that states that energy generated must pass through our dilapidated grid system also is another reason. The grid is not capable of carrying all the energy generated. Our country needs to embrace the smart grid solution. If this is handled, I see a powerboom. The FG managing power generation, transmission and distribution is another reason we dont have power. The FG has no business managing power. They should allow the states handle it. Let me drop my pen here... |
What can I say? I have given the FG a long rope to make something out of this their anti-corruption fight. tho what is left of the rope is pretty thin. nwakibie3: |
First, I am a Nigerian and a black too and I am not criminally inclined. There is no country on surface earth that do not have citizens with criminal tendency. Nigeria is a lot better than some developing countries. We have been so unfortunate to have terrible people in govt. The same people who seized power and have been recycling themselves right even before I was born. [quote author=dayo2me post=61899522]lolz. what happen to them? have you heard cases where some people were caught using the nigeria army camo to defraud innocent people? don't compare nigeria a country that has law but the people therein are lawless to other developing countries. nigerians and black are criminally inclined, take it or leave it.
