Christianity EtcRe: How Is Jesus' Death A Sacrifice If He Rose From The Dead ? by xdos(m): 6:58pm On Mar 28, 2016
Beautiful piece.. I was about typing that. Thank you!
CANTICLES:
The question is solved , ONCE you realize that Jesus is the high priest of the New Covenant . ( Hebrews 8:1 )

In ancient Isreal , the sacrifice is not completed until the high priest enter into the Most Holy place with the blood of the sacrificed animals .

thats a shadow of what Christ will do .

This Requires That For the sacrifice of Christ to be completed and accepted , he must rise and enter into the heavens on our behalf . Hey ! Dont forget he is the high priest of this new covenant .

" However when Christ came as a high priest .. He entered into the holy place , not with the blood of goats and of young bulls, but with his own blood, once for all time, and obtained an everlasting deliverance for us"
- Heb 9:11,12, 24 .
FamilyRe: How To Live With a contentious woman by xdos(m): 6:53pm On Mar 27, 2016
@Op.. If you're married, pray your wife doesn't stumble on this thread else nothing for you this nyt. I hope the married women on NL dont hold meeting for you. I like your write-up though but the truth is there are different strokes for different folks. What works for you may not work for the other person. There is really no formula when it comes to marriage.
Women are a whole lot of mystery.

I do not subscribe to hitting women irrespective of the reason. I know that may not sound so easy but one thing I have always prayed for is the grace never to hit my wife. My opinion is this, if she hits you, please send her back to her parents (those chics are damn fragile men.. You dont wanna hit her back with all that muscles you've built over the years) grin

That is why I keep telling folks, look beyond that beautiful face...
PoliticsRe: Power Generation Drops Further To 2,035.20MW by xdos(m): 5:36pm On Mar 27, 2016
You made nice points as per the solution but the truth is that the government is window dressing the power issues on ground. I am very sure that the govt knows what to do but they dont want to do it.
First the FG needs to probe the power sector.
The transmission lines upgrade have been awarded but nothing to show for it.
A lot of GE frame 9E Gas turbines rated 115 MW each were bought during Obasanjo's era, sometime in 2005. Just a handful was completely installed and commissioned recently and for some, installation has not even commenced. Something bought more than 10 years ago. In fact some are under the rain as I write this. Each of this unit was bought in tens of millions of dollars. A serious govt would have them installed within 6 months.
Talking about the ones installed, some where sited in states that have no business with Gas. E.g. Calabar. Calabar was allocated 5 heavy duty gas turbines and they have been fully commissioned all thanks to Marubeni but only one unit is in operation. Four are shutdown due to lack of gas. Bayelsa has gas and only two were allocated to it. One is almost completely commissioned and the other is still undergoing installation.

Contracts have been awarded to companies to revamp the transmission lines but nothing to show for it.

I have a lot to say but I am currently attending to a country whose govt is really serious abt giving power to her people.

Quakertellicus1:
Happy Easter Nigerians

1.I know I would be called a fictional creature, who can transform people into said fictional creature via certain behaviours seen in certain members of other species, but this is not the government's fault...in a manner of speaking.

2.We can blame the government for not providing enough security at the pipelines which has led to them being attacked. We can also blame the local communities certain of whose youth members are responsible for attacking the pipelines....and who are defended as being latter day Guevaras....when they, by attacking the pipelines, make matters worse for their local environment.

3.Now on to the problems

a) We are not generating enough electricity. At max....we can generate just enough electricity to give everyone 12 hours of light. You would agree that is not enough for anyone to do anything.

b) We also have a very old aged transmission system, which needs serious fixing. And if it is not fixed....we will continue to have problems. And it is going to take years plus trillions of dollars to fix. Now...we do not have trillions of naira or dollars or even cedis to fix anything.

c) Bills are not paid by many Nigerians. One of the DISCOS said that a minority of customers actually pay the bills for a majority. That is not fair...and that went on before NEPA became PHCN.

d) We are also overloading the national grid by just connecting everyone to it. Just now...20 VILLAGES in lagos were connected to the grid How can?

SOLUTIONS

1.We need to end vandalisation of power facilities. If we can start handing down 20 Year sentences for vandalizing power lines,....and 30 for gaspipelines....so be it.

2.We need to increase generation. APC has promised 2000 extra megawatts. They must fufil that promise. We must also get up to 13000mw by 2019.And that includes Nuclear...solar, gas, and even refuse/waste/biogas.

3.We also must improve the transmission system. And this is not a one year job. More like five years.

4.Nigerians must be ready to pay higher for electricity. If not by bills...by taxes. The power supply has been privatized. and unless you want Govt to take over the whole thing again (which would provoke heavy duty lawsuits from the companies...the DISCOS and GENCOS)....THAT is the way forward.

5.We also must accept that this is going to take a while. In my opinion....ten years.

So...Nigerians....either we make this work....or we don't. We must work with and put pressure on our government and the DISCOS/GENCOS to make this work.

(This message was not paid for by the Presidency,Ministry of Information, the Stand with Buhari group, or even the National Non-existent Creatures Committee.).

Nigeria...needs N5 trillion to make power work (Thisday, Dec 1997)

And why is it affecting only Nigeria.. I have been in Ghana for over 1 month and I am yet to set my eyes on queues at gas stations. It is even very difficult to see two cars lined up at fuel stations here in Ghana. There is something Kachikwu isn't telling us.

But you know that the circumstances under which the present administration is working is far worse than when PDP was in power. There is a global economic melt down due to the slump in crude oil prices. So don't blame Buhari. Blame the poor economy.

True word! I know a lot of guys who got sweet jobs after their wedding and some got better offers when their first child came. I am a testimony too.. Got married when I wasn't earning much. God answered my call on the day my daughter was born that I called her Grace! That was when the company I currently work for called me. Remember that He that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from GOD.

A man at the age 30 with master degree without a car or a house(talkless of a well paid job) should remain single till he gt one?
Our government and economy makes this quote invalid..

Yes I collected mine without payment. It is actually free. I was so happy and that was why I appreciated the police.
chibedo:
did you collect your certificate without payment? When I went to their command here in calabar I was told that the fee is 15,000 naira. Without payment, the certificate will not be issued out.

Hey OP... I did mine at Enugu Police HQ and it only took 2days.
As at when I did mine, the site was fully functional and that was in January.
The ASP who did mine didn't ask for money... I only made him happy.
CrimeRe: "DSS Officer Shoots UNIJOS Student Dead" - Made In Jos Facebook Page by xdos(m): 9:22am On Mar 16, 2016
You cant blame the man running on sighting armed men. I remember sometime ago, I was taking a walk and suddenly a car pulled up and halted in front of me though not too close and four men jumped out wielding guns. The way the car stopped abruptly and the manner the guys came out from the car with arms in combat position got me scared and I almost ran. I dont even know if they were armed robbers. So you cant blame the man for running. He probably got scared not out of guilt but on sighting the guns. Our forces aint well trained.
sunboy:
I always warn my friends, you can run for police and the solders but never run for DSS. The moment you they see you as a suspect. I have once saw them shot a man on his leg because he was trying to run upon seeing them, after the shot they carried him into their car and still interrogate him with the pains and blood gushing out.
The once shot multiple times beside me before because I wasn't running. Their rule of engagement is whenever you run then you know about their mission in your area and avoiding some possible arrest.

Rest in peace to the dead!
The rest of us need to be very careful, this is Nigerian forces not FBI or Homeland that won't shoot until they see you are armed.

Only in Nigeria te soldiers beat unarmed women saying they tried to disarm them. Isn't that funny?
CareerRe: What Percentage Of Your Salary Should Be Allotted To Accommodation? by xdos(m): 6:51pm On Mar 15, 2016
I agree! one's house rent shouldn't exceed 10% of one's salary. There's a whole lot of things to do with money.

1 month salary or at most 10% of your annual income.

You can't earn 100k a month and be paying rent of 250-300k, you have effectively worked one-quarter of the year for your landlord. shocked What about school fees, capital projects, savings, feeding. Wisdom is profitable to direct.

BusinessWhat Is The Benefit Of Having Your Salary Account With FIRSTBANK? by xdos(op): 10:22am On Mar 09, 2016
Could someone please enlighten me on the benefit(s) of having one's salary account with FBN. I signed up with FBN for over 6yrs now. My salary has been steady with them. Sometime last year, I decided to try out their much campaigned PLAS (Personal Loan Against Salary). I went to an FBN branch to apply and I was told that it's been suspended. I proceeded to their HTQ in Bayelsa and I was told to go get an approval letter from my company.
My salary has been very steady right from when I started my account with them and the PLAS I was requesting for wasnt even up to half my salary.
Again, I came to Ghana to do some work. I tried using the FBN atm card to get some cash but I couldnt. I was told they placed an embargo on FBN cards. Thanks goodness I came in with some cash. I had to resort to black market. Twas really frustrating though.

My colleague who has his account with GTB was able to apply for a loan online and within two days, it was granted him without stress. He's been able to use his atm card to withdraw cash here in Ghana.
SO someone should please enlighten me on benefits (if there is any) of having one's salary account with FBN.

I agree with Seun very well. My career path was defined when I started working after graduation. That was when I appreciated controls.. So I'll advice he goes for the job. With experience, he'll have a broader view and better choices to make. Again, He's pretty young and he's got time.

You wrote my mind.
The OP tried by resisting her at that point.. the guy try!
While PS4 may not really solve the issue, the girl wearing revealing clothes has to stop.

@OP, We all fall into temptation especially when it has to do with the opposite sex since we men are moved by what we see.. When your wife is not around, I must advice that she travels too until your wife returns. She should limit herself from your presence and you also should limit your chats (familiarity) with her . You should be able to discuss with your wife about this.

Try as much as possible to stop this brothel thing... Prayer helps!

imsuboi:
all these virgin marys and jesuses commenting on this thread and insulting the OP as if na them holy pass, may thunder fire your anal sphincters. angry angry

what happened to giving advice without being insulting and vindictive?

don't judge him 'cos he sins differently than you. i'm sure most of these females jumping up and down on this thread forming virgins have 10ft wells in between their legs angry. na god go punish all of una.

OP, its obvious you have a high libido. so here's what you would do:
1) get yourself a PS4 console, a 55" UHD Smart TV (acunon can help you out with that) and get your mind off the temptation.
2)call the young lady, sit her down and warn her sternly; (tell her to stop wearing revealing clothes and to always be decent).
3) PRAY

not everyone would restrain themselves like you did undecided i must commend you for that. (you try)
'cos left for me, i would do and undo. (yes, i said it. deal with it) undecided

HealthRe: Mother, Child Die Looking For Doctor (Photo) by xdos(m): 9:23pm On Nov 05, 2015
Damn! This was almost my case but I thank God. Took my wife to Good Specialist hospital in Enugu. The hospital has two separate buildings. One for emergency cases and the other for maternity. The doctor and nurses wia in the emergency building and they abandoned my wife and I at the reception in the maternity building. Funny enough, it was a female doctor that was on duty.
A mid wife came and checked my wife and said she was 6cm dilated. Next thing, she said she has closed for the day and that another nurse would be coming to join us. I waited and waited for the nurse to come, my wife was wriggling and screaming in pains. At a point, I had to go to the next building to fetch the Dr. After much persuasion, the female dr joined me to go check on my wife. When we got there, my wife told her that the baby was coming out, the Dr instead of attending to her, started arguing with her that there was nothing coming out and that she was still 6cm as per what the midwife told her. This was like 45mins after oh. While they wia arguing, her pot broke and my wife slumped at the reception. The Dr got confused and started running around not knowing what to do. I got a wheelchair, carried my wife from the floor and wheeled her into the labor ward. Still carried her and placed her on labor bed. I calmed her down, held her legs apart and encouraged her to push while the Dr was still busy running around.
If I was not there, I wonder what would have happened. Initially, I didn't want to come back cos I Thot I had everything arranged for her. God should help our hospitals, doctors and nurses.
