PoliticsRe: US: We’ll Compel Nigeria To Accept Same-sex Marriage by xdos(m): 3:24pm On Jul 15, 2015
Wow and you think homosexuality is ok for the human race? If our parents were homos, we wont be here today. I hope you know that.. So you see why it should stay illegal?.
pansophist:
its illegal because of birth defect, and does more disservice to the offsrping. It also lessen the genetical diversity of the human race. To say the least.
PoliticsRe: US: We’ll Compel Nigeria To Accept Same-sex Marriage by xdos(m): 3:09pm On Jul 15, 2015
Am glad you see it from my own perspective but am not done with you yet.. Now.. letz assume this wont cost the straights among us their right of refusal if this is legalized.. DO you also think incest should be legalized? afterall it is also between two consenting adults..
pansophist:
You are comparing two different things. There is no way you can verify the animal wants to have sex, to say the least. Homosexualism is between two adult consenting to the act. In no way does it affect anyone.

As per people being prosecuted for refusing services to homos, I dont know what I will say about that, but to be fair, I think that is way too far.

pansophist:
Sex with a corpse is non consexual, one of the reasons why its illegal.

Having sex with a kid does more harm to the kid, the kid is not biologically developed to have sex and might suffer psychological aftermath effect.

Kleptomania is an impulse control disorder, not a natural phenomenom.

And who are you to dictate the way another human choose to live their life? you are not in a position to give them any right. You probably wont have any problem if you just mind your business.
And so you think Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon? What about Bestiality (People who sleep with animals)? I see them all as the same...

Well, if you read what I posted well, you'll see that I really do not have issues with these people.. Infact I wasnt bothered about it until the recent happenings in the US. I am not sure you read about the Baker who was fined $135k because he refused to bake cake for a gay couple or a lady who had to resign because she knew what would happen if she refused to wed a gay couple... You dont understand what it means when you dont have a right of refusal...
PoliticsRe: US: We’ll Compel Nigeria To Accept Same-sex Marriage by xdos(m): 2:28pm On Jul 15, 2015
So also Necrophilias should be let alone afterall they only do it to dead people... Paedophiles should also be allowed cos they only do it to kids or kleptomaniacs should be allowed because it is in their nature to steal...
My problem isnt even giving them their rights or whatever but the after effect of giving them that... The church will suffer persecution.. People who do not accept it will be made to suffer.. Take a leaf from what is happening in the US right now.. People are resigning from their jobs.. People are made to pay heavy fines because they refused to do things against their beliefs... Trust me this is not about giving them their rights.. It is about giving them 'All rights'...

The first time i saw two men kissing was in London, specifically at the St James's Park on a cool summer day many years ago. I still remember the shock and revulsion i felt.

I stood transfixed, staring at them for about 5 Minutes and was just turning my head around like AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING this, and then it hit me, i was no longer in Africa and even if i had been living in the US, i was yet to see two men kiss. It was a cultural shock for me to see two men make out.

I hated gays.

Then one day in Church, at a bible study. Somebody asked the pastor that if the Church preaches a lot of things about repentance and acceptance, why then do they still find it hard to accept gays?the pastor's reply was an eye opener.

And then it hit me. Why do i exactly hate gays?they don't bother me, they sleep with each other, they marry each other, they pay their own bills,i don't even know them.

As i grow older, i have learned to be very tolerant of others. I have also learned to mind my business with how others handle their lives, that is why i do not judge married women/men when they cheat in their marriages, i am not in their marriage so don't know what lead to the infidelity.

While i do have my personal reservation about the gay thing, i have come to accept the fact that my feelings will not stop people from being gays, or stop them loving from each other. i have also come to accept the fact that no matter what, there will be others that will have sexual orientation that is different from mine.

In Nigeria, there have been instances where men have been caught making love to goats and chickens. Nairaland even carried some of those pictures.

So what am i saying?people should let other people live their lives the way they deem it fit. what you cannot correct, leave alone.

Bro, I know corruption isn't unique to Nigeria but ours is spelt boldly... Look at the way govt things are handled in this country... Remember there is a very thin line btw nuclear power and nuclear weapon... Look at the govt 's attitude towards safety.. Am currently in a power project site here in Nigeria, I know how many times I correct people working unsafe and most times even after correcting them, as soon as they think I ve gone, they get back to their unsafe ways... ofcourse the site safety policies are just there to decorate the walls...
Have you been to Ibese or Obajana where Dangote has his cement sites? You will wonder if there is a govt in this country... If govt puts up strong safety policies and implement them without fear or favor... Ensure that safety audits are carried out and charge companies who default in safety heavily, then that will go a very long way to get us ready for such projects because companies will be forced to sanitize the mindset of their workers...
Most companies that are strict with their safety rules here in Nigeria are companies who have their headquarters abroad... Like NLNG, a company operated by Shell and safety incidents go as far as to shell global...GE also I know...But our local companies that have their hq here in Nigeria... fear them.
mmsen:
You think Russia does not have problems with corruption?

Or China?

Or India

Or Brazil?

Or Ukraine or Poland?

Corruption is not unique to Nigeria.

Human error can never be eliminated so long as there is even one human being alive. That is no reason to live in constant fear of progress.

Computer systems at nuclear facilities all over the world face cyber-attacks on a daily basis, says a UN nuclear watchdog group while addressing a conference on Monday.

There were three identified cases of random malware-based attacks targeted at nuclear power plants. According to Yukiya Amano, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), “reports of actual or attempted cyber-attacks are now virtually a daily occurrence"

http://afritechnet..co.uk/2015/06/un-warns-of-cyber-attacks-against.html?q=nuclear
Yea I agree... My major fear is the effect the high level of corruption in this country will have on the safety part of this project.

I keep saying it and keep telling others...

There is no general rule for making love with a woman. The rule that worked for Nkechi might not work for Bose. Nkechi might want it slow and steady with moderate strokes while Bose might want it fast with rugged style.

What makes Nkechi turn on might not be what makes Bose turn on. Some women love it when you start it as you open the door for them while some will want to lay on the bed with much romance before they get turn on.

Study a woman body language and see what she really wants. Communicate with her on sexs issues. That is when you might be able to give her maximum satisfaction.

Women are not quadratic equation that the might formulae must always resolved...
lol at quadratic equation... u mean one has to carry out a permutation on them?

I don't know why people stress themselves unnecessarily. If my wife wants sex on Sunday morning then she should forget church that day cause we are going to spend the whole day fucking like rabbits and if she wants to go to church then she should forget sex. There's nothing like church after sex in my To Do list. Thou it shouldn't be frequent thou because I don't joke with the things of God. God created sexuality and everything that goes with it [b]but we should remember that it is still "fleshly" and should not be allowed to control us.

If your wife wants sex every Sunday morning but does not ask for it on other days then you should know that you married Satan's cousin [\b] but if she wants sex every morning then I think you should start eating well to be fit and Thank your stars too cause some married men are not getting it from their wife, not even a hug.
I disagree with the bolded.... God loves sex... If your spouse wants sex before church and you guys ve a room... Please give it without holding anything back... God enjoys it when it is done legally... infact it is righteousness b4 God. Please enjoy ur spouse!

All he should do is stop over bloated contracts... Ensure that when contracts are given, that they are carried out to the letter.... Block looting pores and prosecute offenders... that is what we need.

You're implying that it's either a lady should receive financial benefits from their man or abstain from having sex or they should not berate or demonise the ladies who indulge in sexual encounters for money. Correct me if I'm wrong that this is not what you mean.

If right, let's establish why people of both gender have sex, with emphasis on ladies and why I find your assertion erroneous and myopic.

- Like humans with hormones, ladies enjoy sex and having it with their man shouldn't come with any monetary clause. It's demeaning comparing a woman in 'loving' sexual relationship with someone in a sexual relationship for monetary purposes.

- Whether people who bask in a false sense of righteousness admit it or shy away from it sex is part of a relationship and a woman who fulfills this role is playing her part to ensuring the sustenance of the affair. Sex shouldn't be a means to financial gratification.

Lastly, just like most Nigerian women who feel they are rendering an eternal favour to a man when having sex with him, you're alluding that women shouldn't have sex in a relationship without getting something in exchange. This implies they are doing guys a favour by having sex with them?. No! Women are not performing a charitable or generous act when they have sex in a relationship. Rather, they are having sex because its pleasurable and its part of their role of a relationship.
You said it all..

I dont think I'll bother much if I should lose my account token cos the person who stole it will still require my password to access my account. How much careful can you be.. Imagine having someone with a questionable attitude staying with you in the same house.. While asleep, the person gains access to your wallet containing your atm card and mobile phone... The person can easily do a transfer and recharge, delete sms alerts and you wont know and still return your wallet back.

I lodged here for more than 2 months and d truth is dat d only fantastic tin they have is the building. They don't even have a gym facility let alone a swimming pool.
There food menu is very scanty and they don't do continental dishes. All they have on it are garri, rice, beans, swallow, yam and plantain. The hotel is nice for someone planning to stay for 1/2 days But if you are planning for a long stay then u may need to reconsider.
infact my first two months there was pretty terrible and this was due to terrible and untrained management staff. The receptionists were never smiling, always rude. Infact some of my friends had to move to another hotel because of that.
Now they have a new management who have listening ears. You talk to them and they listen to you and take action. They need to train their workers and also improve on their meals. They also need to build swimming pool and a gym facility atleast for them to attain a 3-star rating.
they need to also get their cinema working since there is no cinema in Yenegoa.

What were gas prices before the US discovered shale gas? If anything shouldn't discovering a new source of supply make the product cheaper?

Nuclear has high capital costs, I'm not sure how they would fit this in with our tariff regime.
ummmh... Am not really in tune with the gas market but I dont think shale gas discovery has reduced the price of gas in the market. The point am trying to make is that gas rich countries like Algeria, Angola, Saudi Arabia and others are investing massively in gas to power technology so If they are not benefiting from it, I dont think they will invest dat much. Even US invested so much in it even before the discovery of their shale gas. Am sure the gas generating companies make profit from it but maybe not much as LNG.
I agree with you concerning the high capital cost of nuclear technology and that was the reason I said we need to invest more in gas to power.. It is a lot cheaper than nuclear technology. Am not opposed to exploring other sources of power generation. If there are cheaper and safer means of generating power, beautiful.
With the way the country is currently, we are not ready for Nuclear power but maybe until 2035..
