Why is Garba Shehu the one speaking on behalf of Gambari? |
descarado:Yes, they will, if the government turns on the people. Igbos are not blind followers; if the government stands for the good of the people, the igbo man will support them. If they however, decide to be anti people, the igbo man will turn on them. |
This is a very long one! By the time I finished, I had forgotten what I read in the first paragraphs. Article wey dey give dementia. ![]() |
Omo, the person(s) that made this post and commented is/are not professional. It's easy to see that you're a fraud. Judging by the fact that most of the handles are female and/or with no gender specified, it's obvious the accounts are fake (created to manipulate emotions of nairalanders) and are just trying to push an opinion. If Osibanjo is as outstanding and good as you paint him, then there's no need for this rubbish; his works will speak for him. |
I saw this really good twitter thread on overcoming procrastination. It made sense to me and I think it will make sense to someone else. If you suffer from chronic procrastination..https://twitter.com/Julian/status/1368675916096933889?s=08 |

Juliusmalema:I don't take any story that doesn't add up seriously. According to the story as can be seen in the bolded texts above, the children (who were abducted on 26th January 2021) died after 4 days in custody. Also, their bodies were discovered 4 days after their death (as bolded still). Going by that, the children died today, the 30th of January 2021 (4 days after 26th), and their bodies were discovered on the 3rd of February 2021 (4 days after 30th January). Do you mean I just read a story from the future? |
FutureDecisions:So she was 11 years when they started courting? Unbelievable! |
People do not understand that Covid 19 is real. See students saying they want school to resume. I understand why you should want school to resume sha; you're tired of home; your life seems paused; you need a change of environment, etc. However, just be aware that if school resumes, the VCs that are clamoring for it will not be seen in public gatherings. They won't come to your lecture halls; they won't stay in your hostels; they won't be found among you. The VCs, if at all they'll be found in the school premises will be in their offices and will effectively be able to observe safety protocols unlike the students. It's just sad that pretty much everything in Nigeria is politicised. ASUU is probably having this stand because of her selfish interest; the VCs are probably wanting school to resume because of their own interests too. However you want to look at it, don't think that you can be in school and religiously observe safety measures against Covid 19. |
seunmsg:Why you dey shout? Someone replied to you politely and you're being rather rude. If you have information to pass, do so politely. |

Before the white colour trend spread, a bride was married in any colour and black being popular in Scandinavia. White was recognized as a mourning colour eespecially for French queens. Brides mainly wore black, brown or such dark colours with few exceptions like green and yellow as were considered unlucky. Blue later became the popular choice because of it’s connection to religion and virgin mary as it represents purity and piety. In 1406, a princess wore a white dress for a royal wedding between her and Eric of Pomerania. She wore a tunic with a cloak in white silk bordered with grey squirrel and remind fur. In 1559, Mary, Queen of Scots wore a white wedding dress when she married her first husband, Francis, the Dauphin of France. This is because white was her favourite colour. 1n 1840, after the marriage of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg on the 10th of February, when Victoria wore a white gown made with heavy silk satin trimmed with Honiton lace with a satin shoe. The llustration were widely published and many brides opted to the queen’s choice. It became a trend among royal brides and brides from wealthy home. The widows who remarried then didn’t wear white, they wore pure ivory, salmon, lavender, rose/voilet and satin dresses trimmed with ostrich feathers. Queen Victoria has been accredited for the wide spread of the white wedding dress trend that is still in practice today. In 1981, Princess Diana walked down the aisle in a grand ivory silk taffeta and lace gown. Her wedding dress style has became the more acceptable than bustle style of Queen Victoria. This is what evolved into the ball gown style wedding dresses we see today. Now, wedding dress colours are made white and all shades of white (eggshell, ecru and ivory), shades of blue, all shades of gold, grey, pink and even black; different colours and designs according to the bride’s choice. CONCLUSION : The notion of white coloured wedding dress to signify purity is untrue. https://medium.com/@anaekequincy/from-colourful-robes-to-royal-white-dresses-the-history-of-white-wedding-gowns-cb450b9575b2 |
Well, being an introvert, it's not easy to decide to try to socialize. I can see a lady I like, but I won't make a move. This isn't because I'm shy or anything of the sorts, but because I understand that you can't actually like someone you don't know. I prefer to be expressive to people I've come to know a few things about. Most times, I'm approached by ladies who find me attractive (yeah, I'm not ugly and I'm not a dullard). I think ladies have this thing for guys that are not all over the place but have a cool reputation. Some people people think being introverted is synonymous to being a simp and that's wrong. I've had many ladies try to take advantage of my quiet nature, hoping they'd have me in their palms. However, I'm even more principled than I am reserved. Like someone here said earlier, you basically need confidence, will, financial stability, sense (however you understand it) and good manners to attract people to you - whether you're an introvert or an extrovert. The hardest part for introverts (that meet the criteria in the paragraph above this), I think, is knowing how to keep ladies interested after they find you attractive. Many introverts are either too serious, lack experience, bad communicators or too formal. So a lady might be attracted to you and you like her too, but you spoil it real quick (let me not go into details). Bottom line is, it's not so difficult to enter a good relationship (if you're good ooo). If you're a good introvert, you'll find it easy; if you're a bad introvert (ambiguous, I know), you'll be played or taken for granted. In the same way, if you're a good extrovert, you'll find it easy; if you're a bad extrovert, you'll be a clown or an irritant. |
It's funny when people that are not igbo think igbo people really play partisan politics. Someone can just create an account here with a fake moniker and claim to be from this tribe or the other tribe just to create senseless posts. I'm here to categorically say that igbos don't care about PDP/APC. They don't care about political parties. They care about the people running for the seats. It's just a pity that APC has totally lost sympathy in the East. This makes it difficult for anyone in APC to gain support of the igbos - no matter who the person is. To the igbos, if you're good enough, you won't even think of joining APC. I'm not saying that the igbos will vote PDP either, but they're more likely to vote PDP just to humiliate APC. Like I said earlier, the igbos don't play partisan politics. That's why they can vote different parties for different seats. And that's why politicians fear them. You're never sure you've won an igbo person to your party; the best you can do is win him/her to your side as a person and not a party. Igbos don't have kings. Peace be with you. |
GamalNasser:Does this make any sense to you? There's no society that doesn't have people with crazy opinions and unacceptable conceptions. There are pools of unemployable applicants, but will a recruiting company just accept any applicant without adequate tests and interviews to test their qualification? What happens when an applicant finally lands a job and is not able to uphold company policy? Do they clap for him/her? The police should do a better job at ensuring that her officers meet the basic requirements for a police officer in a 21st century democracy. |
After the directive by the IGP yesterday, today they are at it again and without uniform. The computer villa guys should have captured them and made sure they faced the law. |
Clown of a president.

Pamellakimona:When you were in school, you were THOUGHT? I was taught. The RIP should start from yourself. Even the owners of the language don't address their pets as 'it', na only you sabi English. ![]() |
I was about to ask how this made it to the front page until I read the whole thread! Really nice thread! I think I want a dog now ![]() |
yenereal:Regardless you commented....you wan do pass yourself. ![]() |
Abouwaza:Trying to defend a failed government, but you ended up shooting yourself (and your government) in the leg. "...we all are thieves..." is a hasty generalization, but it shows that you're a thief, and you believe that the president is too- after all, he is one of "we all". |
ebukajay184:OK na. |
Jakumo:See as you just narrate the movie like you dey there. I also saw how you were careful not to be on or against the government in your comment. So let me ask you directly, who is to blame? |
ethicallyright:It may not be herdsmen that attacked her, Yea? Can't you see that she was still alive and could still talk? So she would just accuse herdsmen even at the point of her death? At this point I think either your sense of feeling is very off, or you're a Fulani herdsmen sympathiser. |
Most times people obtain their NYSC discharge certificate before their school certificate. For most schools (public schools), you have to wait for about 3 to 4 years after graduation before you get your certificate. When it's finally time to get the certificate, there's no occasion organised for it; people just go to their schools individually to pick the certificate up. |
That wasn't even a prophesy, it was an informed prediction in the health corner of the magazine. Don't be irrational. |
BigFatJoe19:Just so you know, Nigeria's population is about two hundred million (yea, that's right 200 million), so even the 20 million Nigerians on Instagram are just about 10 percent of Nigeria's total population. So it's very much possible that up to 80 percent of Nigerians don't know her. What was that you said about 50 percent of Nigerian adults knowing her? Does your dad know her? Your mum nko? Your grand parents? Or you think adults are those that have access to the internet or those that always argue on Nairaland? The truth is, if you don't have an online presence, there are 98% chances that you won't have heard of DJ Cuppy. Lastly, I feel so much Nigerians don't love her because she isn't so good at what she insists on doing. This leads people to think that she's just there because she has the money. Personally I think she would have gained more fans if she was in BB9ja or any other platform that would have let her show her true talent. |
I feel there's something the OP isn't saying. It's possible she did something bad, probably cheated and she thought her husband isn't aware while he is. It's also possible that the guy is the person doing something wrong, probably cheating again and is using distance and lack of communication to cover his tracks. It could also be that the man is just being unreasonable and evil. Finally, it could be that the man is just overwhelmed with work and other stress factors. |
Abeg make we hear word for these privacy advocates. Shey the PhD holder was shouting up and down? What if she was the one shouting that her ward is SS? Instead of you to think small, you're assuming that the management was just telling everyone - including the cleaners the status of patients. Let me even add my own: With all her PhD she no fit go better hospital with better privacy policy go treat her pikin! Rubbish! |
