casket4Mynd44:Did you miss the part that says "federal" before the high court? |
OLE!!!!! He probably meant 1m hamlets...lol! Making a case for capital votes for reconstruction. The fraud has already begun! |
Sincere4u:Distribution company? Hear yourself? How is it their problem to ration 1,000 - 1,500 MW of electricity to 170 million Nigerians? Do you know that the government is still in charge of generation? Or can't you tell the difference between generation and distribution? |
oduastates:Oga, stop pretending like you understand the issue with electricity in Nigeria because you and you dullard president don't! The problem is Buhari, his northern brothers and the petroleum industry bill. GEJ commissioned power plants and we have been building them since OBJ's administration. Have you asked yourself why despite having more power plants, power generation (which is the biggest problem) has not improved? 7 of the 11 new power plants were designed to be powered by gas. The non-passage of the PIB is stalling investment in gas pipelines to bring gas to the plants because the northern part of the country (Buhari's kinsmen) has vowed to make sure the PIB does not see the light of the day because it would give more control of petroleum resources to the state among other things. So those power plants are just lying idle and contributing nothing to the national grid as of today. As long as investors continue to wait on the government to put a guiding policy in place for the oil and gas industry, any major project undertaken by any private investor is a big risk! Of course, Buhari is spewing all the rubbish in the OP's post because he knows that many Nigerians are not informed and are lazy to do a simple research. The privatization of the sector by GEJ is the biggest boost any government has given to that sector. |
SimonN:No, you're actually missing GEJ! INEC under him organized some of the best elections in Nigerian history |
If Terry was found to have had alcohol, he would be looking at a jail term but then this is Nigeria! |
And this brilliant producer too - Rick Famuyiwa!
|
"Another problem is transmission, and we are fixing it.” Fashola stated that people are not interested in investing in gas, adding that are just beginning to show interest. “So even if you have all the power plants, where is the fuel?" Actually, this is the biggest problem!!! When Jonathan's government was being frustrated on power, I know I tried to enlighten a lot of people on why we can't have constant power generation until the PIB is passed. All the newly built power plants are designed to be powered by gas. Getting the gas to the plants would require lots of investments which government is reluctant to make and is looking to foreign investors to come do. Foreign investors want to be sure that they can recoup their investments and are asking for government to firm up his policy on oil and gas operations in Nigeria - the Petroleum Industry Bill to reduce the political risk associated with making investments in Nigeria. We all know how politicized that bill has been with the North leading the campaign to kill it and apart from this the international community is still not comfortable with a fully deregulated industry in which a state owned NNPC would be a player while the state still becomes the judge through its regulatory agency - DPR. The PIB is the key to constant power generation. Fashola can keep lying all he can that consumers will get value for money with the new tariff. There is not going to be any value for money until power generation is sort out through the petroleum industry bill. |
BeeBeeOoh:Very good to hear but who is his father? This kind of appointment doesn't come on merit alone! |
neolboy:Sounds familiar! Sounds like 1984's austerity measures all over again. Surely, Nigeria is slipping into recession and these new managers have no idea how to curb it. #wedonenteronechance |
Will he return his father's loot as his late father and APC promised? |
OlujobaSamuel:If you know anything about leadership, you would realize what you typed here is all bullshit. For Oliseh to have attempted to make a scape goat of his captain by singling him out for chastisement in front of the whole team in that manner especially knowing the guy just lost his mother is both insensitive and disrespectful. Empathy is one of the great attribute of a leader. It is not a sign of weakness to overlook Enyeama's latecoming to camp for discussion another day when het is more emotionally stable. I do not expect a calm response from Enyeama. I would call the bluff of any coach or boss who tries that with me. |
Bullshit! How did Fayemi, Ngige and Oyinlola pass security checks? Didn't they all loot their States at some point? Awon oniyeye!! |
Hahaha........this sort of news make me laugh! Zoning is an unwritten ideology that has stuck to the fabrics of Nigerian politics regardless of which side one is aligned to. APC keeps denying the obvious. Well, let us see if they are formidable enough to manage Nigeria's diversity better than PDP because this is one of the issues that killed PDP. The cracks are already forming in APC!! |
lalasticlala:@OP: If you read Ake - Wole Soyinka's story of his childhood in Abeokuta, you would understand his link to the Kutis. He has a Kuti blood. |
babasoji:Don't mind the e-diot blood thirsty SA monsters! Let me add that if Nigeria descends on MTN and Shoprite, no job will be lost. We will simply nationalize them! |
SeverusSnape:That further lent credence to the insinuations that the U.S. government also part funded Buhari's campaign and in return get the Nigeria anti-gay law repealed. |
People don't read news with their brains in Nigeria - especially those news that feed their bias! How were they moving the trillions of naira in the country and there is no inflation yet? How were they moving $10 billion? The guy that got $150m and went back for $20m - how did he move this cash? $150m is equivalent of N3 billion naira and that is about one or two trailer loads of N1,000 notes! Na so e easy to dey carry cash around? Now if this happened all over the country, which transport company carried all these cash? The CBN controls the inflow of dollars into the country including those that eventually find their way to the black market through Bureau de Change. Which Bureau de Change converted the monies from dollars to cash? How much dutch auction has CBN sold to BDCs in the last 12 months? How much are all the BDCs themselves worth? Did they wire these monies through banks? Of course Jonathan and PDP must have spent a lot of money but these figures are too incredible! They must have been exaggerated! |
sodiqrasaq:Oga, you have to earn the right to call the President "clueless". Please paste your o'level results and your university diploma here if you have one. Some of you who wrote WAEC and JAMB multiple times should never have the effrontery of referring to someone else as clueless. |
Confirm which story? you think you are talking to bufones? First, Nigeria is not the only country with Hausa speakers so it is wrong to assume a general statement for Africa means Nigeria. Secondly, Hausa was not introduced as a subject to te taught in Nigerian schools until 1974. |
fagbalex:But you are not tired of a person that lies with bear face saying Abacha never stole money yet the latter's loot are being recovered everyday? Yeye dey worry you |
eunisam:If they succeed, it would probably take them till 2015 and they would have fulfilled the Nigeria 2015 break-up prediction. I hope they do, so everyone can answer his father's name. Awon weeeeere gbogbo...!!!! |
But all these were the projects he commissioned in his first tenure as Governor. Amaechi has stopped working since he got power drunk and crossed over to APC. I recall his buddy - Senator Abe was shamefully flown to UK to treat fake gun shot wounds. Weren't these hospitals equipped to at least be able to treat that? However, the big question is does Amaechi and his family go to these hospitals for treatment? What I know about Nigerian politicians and projects is that after commissioning (at which time I believe most of the beautiful pictures were taken), funding of the maintenance of the built infrastructure suddenly start drying up. I am sure the current state of some of these hospitals would be alarming by now. |
ISpiksDaTroof:And who told you he didn't steal? |
So says another mad man craving attention! After squandering all the money he made as petroleum minister on girls in Ibadan, this classic example of a square peg in round hole - professor of virology turned petroleum and energy minister needs a second chance which Jonathan refused but now looks promising with his once paymaster Buhari! That this guy is still getting attention is the creation of the compromised Nigerian press! Each time I see him around the University of Ibadan, he looks unkept, finished and spent! |
nationwide1:There is something many of us from the south don't understand about Fulani people. Their brotherhood comes first before Nigeria. Omar was speaking as a fulani man but using the cover of the NLC! |
I am a Keshi supporter but after this loss, I give up! Something is definitely wrong with that team and our opponents have found a weakness in that back line that they have now been exploiting. If Keshi cannot correct that in 3 straight matches, then its time for him to honourably call it quits. He should not wait to be shown the way out, the game is now up. Keshi is a good coach but great Coaches have been known to get to a certain point when they can no longer motivate their team. Del Bosque of Spain is also currently swimming in the same boat with Keshi now after their disastrous world cup and poor runs in the European qualifiers. Having said that, these players are not playing together or playing for each other. I mean where is the understanding that stood out Omeruo and Oboabuna at the last nations cup? |
podosci:It is not an unfair advantage because the Chinese manipulate their currency. If they let the market forces determine the RMB exchange rate, they would be exposed. So eff PP! |
Abi were lo bi man Buhari yi ke? How can he be insulting our intelligence by talking about power abuse? |
omenka: They killed Azazi because he tried to spill the beans. Moh'd Yusuf was killed so he wouldn't spill the beans. Now Shekau has been killed in custody so he wouldn't reveal more sponsors besides Ihejirika, Sheriff and OritsejaforWhich cover up? So you think a man like Shekau or maybe his impersonator is one that would sing once captured? You think he is such a coward to start spilling the beans or beg for mercy? Please, think again!!! The guy is aware that negotiations are on-going between the sect and the FG. I am sure he is wise enough to try to buy time and expect his negotiators to include his release as a condition for the release of the girls. |
jumobi1: Exactly bro. They could have kept him alive to extract more info... Coverup maybe? Those kind of people would not give any info/spill the beans. Keeping him alive would give cause to Boko Haram making demand for his release as a condition for releasing the girls. The best thing is what they did, kill him!!! |
@OP: Ok, so what is the fuss about? Is he not entitled to a change of mind? Don't we all change minds on certain things? Or has it become a crime to so do? |
