I remember maybe 2010, Chelsea were just one point ahead of Man Utd heading to the final game of the season against Wigan, but Man Utd still had hope of winning the league, cos they feel Wigan might upset Chelsea, which is a common thing in the premier league.

I used to like him, but his tactics are outdated.
Defend and counter is very good for knockout games and can be effective, but as we have seen in his two ucl final loss, it can only take you that far.

It was the same tactics that exposed Mou at Man Utd and caused him to be sacked.
It used to be a good tactics in the past, especially when used as underdogs, but not so anymore.
In fact, ATM has been poor in recent reasons. He's just lucky that he's in La liga, if not, his team would have been pushed down the table.

Imagine La liga, 5 rounds of games left, 15 points to play for and Madrid have been touted champions elect, being 4 points clear, why? Cos there's no El classico in any of the fixtures left?

Serie A is the worst, followed by La Liga.
Average EPL teams can afford to keep decent players and pay them reasonable wages. I'm talking about teams like Wolves, Newcastle, Everton, Sheffield etc. That's why a team like Arsenal has been pushed down. But no matter how poor ATM is in the league, they will still find themselves in 3rd place, cos even if they leave the space opened all season, nobody will take it.

The truth is that Liverpool even though their played like champions,loss of form by teams like mancity, The lack of quality midfield by all of the premier League teams,and lack of consistency by other team,let me back up my statements with a few points
1. Liverpool vs mancity anfield, mancity after losing to manu a few matches back and some shocking losses,there where low on confidence with lack of a full quality defense,and didn't have their key striker,Aguero,that made it an easy win for Liverpool,now coming to the reverse fixture with an almost 100% mancity,the score is telling who is the better club for this match
2. Liverpool vs manu anfield,won 2-0 was one of my worse matches this season,man u conceded a first goal due to a set piece error and horrible marking allowing for Liverpool a free header when vandijk scored first, and wasn't helped by manu losing chances that would have easily led to an equaliser,and were further punished by their wastefulness in front of goal by a superb goal by salah,still saying it manu should have won the fixture at old Trafford but unfortunately had to settle for a draw
3.Liverpool in the ucl,they have performed horribly in the ucl, Couldn't get a result against napoli( one of the most stable team they have played this season) and couldn't enter the QF after bragging they will beat athletico at anfield which they lost woefully.


The truth is to me there is nothing special about Liverpool, Their style of football is give the ball to Taa, from there the ball finds salah or mane or firmino, from there the winger find someone in the box ,Or Taa just crosses and it meets winaldum (e.g against barca) from there goal,no midfield play no creative midfield play,just quick wing play, So a team that has a good midfield will totally dominate Liverpool (e.g mancity) or a team that can leave Liverpool with the ball and can launch a counter quickly passing through Taa wing (e.g athletico) will be able to defeat Liverpool. To me Liverpool played well but with their style of play their carrying the league is based on other teams lack of form and squad depth,but i dont see them having any chance of carrying the next one as lemme highlight teams that will give them a run for their money next season

Football is not judged that way. Each game comes with its own ginger. Chelsea beat this same Man City last week and relegation threatened West Ham defeated Chelsea. Football is never based on a bigger team defeating a smaller team, than you expect every other bigger team to win them. The worst teams to play now are the relegation threatened teams, because they are fighting for their survival. Playing a bigger team is better now than the teams in the bottom of the table.

You are very correct. But this is almost exclusive to the Premier league, part of why it is very interesting.

Liverpool's game is mostly about intensity and running,that's why their full backs and two wingers are very important. City have much more to their game about them and they have more depth too.

There's the possibility of complacency too, especially in this game, they've celebrated and had too much to drink while City were waiting to prove a point.

If Gundogan wants to play, that means one of Silva, Fernadinho, KDB must drop to the bench. That doesn't happen unless pep wants to do some rotations. Gundogan has seen more playing time this season cos of laporte injury and Fernadinho playing as a CB coupled with Rodri lack of consistency.


Ederson, Mendy, Walker, Laporte, Otamendi, Fernadinho, Dsilva, KDB, sterling, Mahrez or Bsilva and Aguero. I believe that's city 11.

Being a CM doesn't mean you have to sit back. A CM is more like a box to box player.

Although KDB is versatile, but his normal role is a CM, when all players at City are fit. Either in a 433 or 4141.

I already told you Fabregas is a CM, Pirlo was a CM too. A CM can take the ball forward and look for the final pass.

The assists you get depends on the type of player you are and the type of team you are playing in.

Gundogan is a CM, but he doesn't get into the first team when everyone is fit.

KDB is a Central midfielder.

Being a CM doesn't stop you from having assists. Most times the only thing an AM has more than a CM are goals.
Only a DM might be limited.

Chelsea's best season to me is 2012, after beating Liverpool at Wembley in the FA cup Final, we went ahead as massive underdogs to defeat Bayern at their Allianz Arena to win the club's first and ever UCL .
