Neoteny: There's everything wrong with the question.
Someone's aspiring to hold a national portfolio with significance for 180m people, and of all the questions one could ask about their plan for that responsibility, it's reciting snippets of the national anthem that's important? Buhari has not assigned any portfolio, so no relevant question can be asked. If you really believe questions about plans should be asked what stopped the other 100 plus senators from asking the question? Given the way most Nigerians hate the country, Dino asked the smartest question to screen out opportunistic and unpatriotic elements. |

adekolaelect: Take it easy .then senate approved the sum and obasanjo had never come out to say the money was not disbursed.Let reason out of sentiment .let the Reps do their work .if they do they will chop our money and if they did not do they will still chop the money .True True there is no light or do have light make you dash us for here oooooo ?? You obviously don't know how the government works. The Senate never approved any $16 billion dollars for power. If you have any evidence they do please provide it. Even if we are to blindly believe that a $16 billion dollar was awarded at a mythical year, the senate only approves budget for a fiscal year based on projected revenue not on the account balance and the executive spend only a fraction of it every year. What matters is the money the government spent, not the budgetary allocation. Nobody is stopping anybody from doing their job provided they are not wasting money in the process. But each time such wild goose chase of a probe is instituted, millions are spent in the process. We complain about the national assembly consuming 20% of our budget every year and now they have another opportunity to increase their earning because of sentiments when everyone should be up in arms against another waste. The rep probed this same case in 2008 and nothing came out of it because they started with the wrong assumption and lost their way even though millions was spent on the investigation. The probe isn't about light, but the alleged spending of $16 billion dollar. |

bluefilm: Shut up. Why are you jittery? How many times as a man, have you dressed up with the mindset of revealing certain body parts so that females will think you are quite seductive? Dumb question. Only gay people can tell you which man's dress is revealing. Are you gay? Truth be told, most correct men don't even have time for that. But that's exactly what most of these girls do. To you, correct men don't have time for that but gays will disagree with you. The same way you think girls expose themselves. As a guy, you simply dress up to look good and feel comfortable in yourself.
This will bring out the confidence in you
Females might then smell this confidence and take note of you... and maybe try to get you, or put themselves where you can get them. Again, you miss the entire point by describing a male-female relationship perspective when this rapist is obviously a homosexual. See how dumb your post look? |

biodunid: How is it fake news o bros? The Punch link no work for you abi you no get data? First, your resurrection of the news item is suspect. Placing your personal opinion strategically above the real news means that you do not believe that the article supports your position. Could PMB conceivably arrest or even probe him over any of his financial and capital crimes that we all heard so much about now he has donned the toga of Messiah? I am tempted to ask about the financial and capital crimes OBJ allegedly committed. Don't you agree that 4 years is more than enough time to nail him in at least one case if what "we all heard so much about" is true? What is even more worrisome is that you believe that Buhari can jail anybody above his pay grade on flimsy excuse. |

nextstep: Er... the poster child for cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin) varied from $12,927 to $9,422 in the past month, and hit as low as $3,147 less than 6 months ago. Not to mention its peak at $1950 early 2018. How's that for proof of volatility? Imagine if the dollar or yen varied so much. You can't have a currency jumping all over the place if it wants to replace more stable fiat currencies.
If the most visible type of cryptocurrency is so unstable, how will the general public be convinced to used it? There is also lots of fragmentation (many different coins and exchanges with different values). Large financial institutions and companies (e.g. JPM Chase, Facebook) are issuing their own, defeating the very ethos of "decentralized", since it just means that large companies will own the very thing that's supposed to be ownerless.
Trading in cryptos, like any other speculation, should be done by those who are fully aware of the risk. I can't in good faith advice somebody who's saving for their house, retirement, or children's education to put their money into crypto. It really has no inherent value, and since there's no government that pledges to defend it, it will continue to suffer from swings. The bold is the truth but expect crypto activist to come out in full attack mode. |

OlujobaSamuel: @Xisnin, abegi, nothing you say go change their mind. Any currency wey iya alata, chikwudi alaba, Musa gold etc no go accept from me, I no dey do. Crypto currency should be for those into currency speculation just like stock trading. Stability is one of the features of currency as a medium of exchange anywhere in the world, a currency that it's worth is uncertain the next minute after exchange na recipe economic disaster. You captured my thought with the bold. It is not my business what someone does with their money but some poor people are being deceived into various crypto schemes with lofty promises only to lose their money. If crypto was fully explained to these victims, most won't partake. The funny thing is that the organizers usually blame the market for the loss. In one of the cases I am familiar with, the organizer told EFCC that he doesn't understand crypto and was also deceived by news articles and hence a victim too. |

Bitcoin went from 250 usd to 20k in the time period. What nonsense are you talking? You must be a newbie. Cryptocurrency values vary widely due to speculations and market manipulation. Cryptos have no value except as speculative currency. You didn't mention that bitcoin fell from $19700 to $3500 within a few months in 2018, making poor ignorant people poorer and enriching big players. You might think I am anti-crypto but I am not, I do trade in crypto but I know that it is not different from MMM or gambling. Same cannot be said for people who are being fooled to invest in what they don't understand with the promise of quick riches. |
