When I suggested that those agitating for Sharia courts are ignorants, fanatics or political agents of destabilization. Some goons countered it by claiming that Sharia has been in existence in SW for centuries. Okay, agreed it has been practiced since. So why agitating for something that already exists if not for ulterior motives? |
Armaggedon:Don't be deceived. Anioma state is a pipe dream. Nobody will support apart from Nwoko and his disciples. |
Golan007:They don't disappear. Think of armed robbers raiding an unguarded house without notice. What are the chances of the gang members getting killed while robbing? These bandits job is even easier than the robbers as they don't need to enter any house and get surprised. They just start shooting or set fire to houses to create panic and when people run around to escape, they gun down the runners and escape into the bush as usual. |
Rating:Respond as what? You guys take political propaganda too serious. |
Many farm destructions aren't about feeding on crops. It is the movement of the cows through the farms. If cows freely move or graze around your farm, it is not safe unless it is fenced. |
aycorporat:That is not going to happen. And it has nothing to do with greatness. |
mu2sa2:It is a shame really. EFCC has access to bank transactions and has evidence of illegal funds transfer to such people's personal or business accounts. Rather than focus on that and present the evidence before a judge, they start dealing on frivolities and media grandstanding. FFK escapes justice because the EFCC chose to focus on alleged forgery of medical report which has nothing to do with the stolen funds he received. It seems the more media releases done by the EFCC, the more likely the suspect escape justice. |
MadamExcellency:I think you are commenting based on ignorance. Gencos are not Discos. There are several layers within the power companies. Gencos are like the generating set operators, they don't deal with the public. Their clients are the Discos and government. If they don't get paid, they switch off the generator. |
MadamExcellency:I think you are commenting based on ignorance. Gencos are not Discos. There are several layers within the power companies. Gencos are like the generating set, they don't deal with the public. Their clients are the Discos and government. |
Ezmans:They are Gencos, their product is for Discos and not consumers. Besides, it is a business and not charity. |
Justnation:There is nothing funny about Biden pardoning his son. The question should be whether it is illegal. |
Justnation:That is because Nigeria don't practice ideological politics. The politicians believe in nothing. |
RandDigital:Why will the "world" unite against US specifically? Countries are not run based on emotions but pragmatic considerations. The "world" doesn't exist as you imagine it. Many neighboring countries are even enemies to begin with. Whether China rises or not, BRICS strengthened or not, it won't help Palestinians one bit in terms of security. China will not go to war on behalf of another country or territory for war sake. It is not like the west. In fact, majority of funding for Palestine comes from those who you consider their major enemies, that is, the west. |
micflo28:No, it isn't. Taxes are for government and not citizens and no country ever developed through taxes. It is other way around, as a country citizens gets richer, it gets more money from taxes. |
casualobserver:This one thinks he is dealing with his fellow political propagandist. If you are too lazy to use google or even GPTs, then you don't deserve any response. The thing with infrastructure is once built, you cant take it away...where is the one PDP built?Really? Most infrastructures that you celebrate breaks down within 8 years, either totally or partially requiring another round of borrowed funds to repair. The Abuja-Kaduna road awarded by Buhari and still under construction already have bad portions from the completed parts as confirmed by Umahi. Even the concrete ones constructed by Umahi himself while governor and touted as being modern are now having massive cracks across the state. Only citizens of poor countries celebrates infrastructure because they don't know better. And their leaders take advantage of this ignorance by using it as a campaign point. |
TimeManager:Another dullard roaming the internet. Too confused to logically respond. |
9jatriot:No party shares money like APC. From election to governance, as confirmed by Amaechi, everything is about sharing money. As for the infrastructure it is funded via loans or impoverishing the populace via massive wealth displacement from citizens to the government purse by targeted inflationary policies. APC didn't choose not to share money, it just gets more by making the people poorer and the government richer. |
HydraFeeds:We are talking about Nigeria here. And where did you get 17% from? Secondly, there are several political and economic policies that US always try to arm twist Nigerian government or they cut aids like we've just witnessed in SA because SA is trying to pass land reforms and submit a case against Israel in ICC that doesn't favour the US .Before Trump, major reasons for threat to aids, not health ones, are either military coup, suppression of opposition, instigation of civil war or invasion of foreign country such as recent Rwanda moves. Again, you are bringing in SA, even though the topic is exclusively about Nigeria. BTW, SA has no case at the ICC. The ICJ case which I believe you mixed up is no longer a SA affair, several countries have already joined none of which Trump has said anything about them. Thirdly ,foreign spy agencies like CIA always mix with aid workers to penetrate deeper system in subterfuge .What does the bold even means? You watched too many movies. 99.99% of actual spies are local. So no mixing needed. It will be idiotic to send a white man to a black nation as an on the ground asset. If you are referring to the co-ordinators, those ones are very few and don't need no aids organization whose staff are again local. They already have official roles as embassy staff. Valuable assets are not foreigners, they are local highly placed and powerful people. For example, our current president who is neither white nor ever an aid worker or recipient feature in wikileaks expose as supplying information to the Americans for example. We've just witnessed how these aids providing countries call the aid receivers beggars and other insulting names .How is this relevant to the usefulness of the aids? Lastly, Nigeria should look inward and solve her problems by herself, that's the true path to success . The same Nigeria that budgets 4bn+ today will be able to up it next time .There is no looking inward for a poor country by rejecting foreign aid. It will be the most foolish decision ever. You prefer a quarter to half of the Nigerian budget for roads to go towards treating HIV patients just to pretend to be rich? We could look inward and raise tax 300% to make up for the rejected aids. Why did you think SA which has a better economy than Nigeria and which appears you very rate high did not outrightly reject the aids and look inward? How about we return all the $6 billion spent in Nigeria since 1999, how about we go back to 1960 when USAIDS began and pay everything back so we can pat ourselves on the back that we are no longer beggars. |
miketayo:I supposed you are one of those confused by numbers. About 2 million people are living with HIV in Nigeria, if you have a different source, you should have shared it instead of your empty response. |
Leobankx:The commander in chief is playing to the gallery. Military campaign is not the same as ordering a maid to sweep the compound. Such orders are unenforceable for various reasons. |
HydraFeeds:Explain how free HIV drugs for the 2 million people in Nigeria is greek gift. Without these subsidies, the drugs will cost the government hundreds of billions to trillions of Naira. This 4.8 billion is not even up to 1% of the funds needed. |
Kaiser20:China can't move by copying. It literarily has to wait for others e.g ChatGPT AI before it can copy and make its own. |
hotwax:That is my point. They are copycats but many Nigerians think China is superior in tech innovations because most of what we import have "made in China" on them. |
HydraFeeds:Reject it? Countries are run with pragmatism and not emotional outbursts. |
maasoap:No. China is a copycat for now. Just name any sector and you will find China simply copied the published success of others. Is it semiconductor, R& , Aerospace, Software, Pharmaceuticals and AI that China leads in?Obviously none. Sure, it produces cheaper alternatives later after seeing working examples from elsewhere. But that is not innovation. Even Russia can boast of being the innovators in several fields but not China. I understand where you are coming from, many people confuse manufacturing at scale(producing so much quantity) with the actual innovation. It is funny that you mention TikTok as your source. |
Inspirer1:That is not what this is about. |
So what? Is there a crime in importing from Malta as opposed to other countries? |
ChiefOkporghe:Stop with the blame game. Europe has nothing to do with it. Germany, Romania, Poland and several European countries still uses coal. In fact, coal is a vital part of Nigeria's energy policy according to the government. Nigeria coal industry died due to mismanagement and the oil boom. If Nigeria seeks new investors such as the Chinese, the coal plants fire will reignite again. |
danvon:Why does the US need to prove anything to you? |
maasoap:You must be joking. Manufacturing scale is quite different from innovative technologies. |
The funds are for the upcoming elections and political settlements. |
Aaronsrod:Trump a christian? Since when? |
