Borno government write whatever result they like because there is no one to monitor the elections.
Boko haram will be sustained for many years to come to protect this easy source of votes.
Politics › Re: Should Women Go To Jail For False Rape Accusations (opinion) by Xisnin(m): 1:50pm On Mar 11, 2019
kinibigdeal:
Are you now justifying false accusations of rape? In the example above, someone accused the other party wrongfully and after 5 good years that the person accused had spent in jail, the accuser confessed that the accusation never existed. Are you saying in this case that no punishment should be given to the accuser because of precedence for rape victim? Common man
Do you want to eliminate false accusation?
Then scrap all criminal laws. The meme which is a movie scene is not a real example of a false rape allegation.
There are real false accusation victims out there who suffered from flaws in the justice system but guess what,
such flaws cannot be fixed until we can start reading people's mind.

There is nothing anyone can do against "false accusation" other than limit the risk of exposure to one.

This hypothetical man who spent 5 years in prison would have spent the rest of his life in prison if there is a
law against "false accusation" because the "victim" would never have recanted her testimony.

I don't like discussing hypotheticals, so I am back to Nigeria again.
Real rapists in Nigeria get about 2 years imprisonment if convicted. It is very hard to report rape and harder
to get a rape conviction especially when the victim and perpetrator knew each other.

Talking about punishing potential victims is like finding a backdoor to make rape legal.
Politics › Re: Amosun Under Tension To Resign As APM Supporters Curse Out Buhari by Xisnin(m): 1:08pm On Mar 11, 2019
With the margin of APC win, they will come back to beg Amosun in 2023 when a credible opposition emerges.
Politics › Re: Abiola Ajimobi: Mistake Or Mystique? By Festus Adedayo by Xisnin(m): 12:55pm On Mar 11, 2019
APC apologists should let this man be. Ajimobi did what he could as a governor.
The desire to understand Oyo election is driving many people crazy.
The result showed that Ajimobi was not responsible for APC's loss.
They fielded a candidate and sidelined local politicians based on an order from above.
Same thing they did in Osun and escaped the consequence.

Unfortunately for APC, there are so many power brokers of equal power in Oyo politics that you can neither
buy nor coerce them all.

What sealed APC's fate was Seyi Makinde candidacy and the coalition. Had the coalition chosen Akala,
APC would have been singing their usual "PDP is dead" song.

What about lives that have been destroyed through false accusations? How do we fine tune the judicial system without trampling on the right of the victim
People have been wrongly sentenced for armed robbery and murder.
Yet, I have not seen anyone calling for the punishment of victims and witnesses in those cases.

You cannot punish someone for false accusation without having any evidence to prove that it is a
false accusation. There is a difference between false accusation and the lack of evidence.

Immediately we have a law to punish "false accusations", rape reporting will reduce for fear of punishment
but no "victim" will ever retract their statement even if the allegation was false in the first place.

Nigeria judicial system is already too soft on rapists, so no changes are needed.

How can PDP be coming fourth when Obasanjo is there? Nawao, looks like Baba Iyabo has no relevance in his state.
OBJ is not a member of PDP.
PDP godfathers in Ogun endorsed APC because they don't want a drug dealer(Kashamu) as governor.

He was whisked away for his own safety. The masses would have lynched him if the police didn't intervene.

Ajimobi ended thuggery and maintained peace in Oyo State. He achieved that amongst other things. Seyi Makinde's thug, auxiliary and some others have started causing problems in Oyo State even before they are sworn in.

Soon you will all realise that an arrogant and prideful but achieving Ajimobi is better than this coalition headed by Ladoja.
Stop campaigning after the election.

May God have mercy on we the youths, especially those in the South South and South East
The difference is clear, thugs were used by political opponents in 2015 but Amachi is using soldiers who are being paid
with taxpayers money to rig, brutalize and kill innocent citizens.

The plan is either to declare a state of emergency and install an army officer as administrator of Rivers state or INEC would suspend the elections till further notice (but still within the 90 day stipulated period) in which case the normal tenure of Wike would have expired by May 29 and an interim administrator would be put in charge of the state. Either way Wike would not be available as governor to wield the influence he has now and APC would then have a field day in cahoot with the administrator. Those who think INEC just made a rgt decision do not know what's happening underground. This suspension is only part of the apc plan with inec to take over Rivers. But God is greater.
I am not sure you get it either. The fake results Amaechi have written have him leading with
impossible margins. If INEC announce such result, full-blown crisis may erupt in Rivers.

You know nothing about Kwara. Problem started when he took on anti Buhari policy.......why didn't they reject him in 2015? You can't fight Buhari and be successful in the North! They used Buhari's as their Surname in 2015 and 2019 they used their own Surnames.
Kwara is not north, neither is any other north-central state.
I always laugh when people use what they read online to analyze local politics.
Buhari would have lost woefully if Saraki was in APC and he supported his presidential election.
Majority of the current Kwara APC leaders are PDP members since 1999 who have been spending
money and sweat to unseat Saraki.
They care about Buhari as much as he is a useful tool for them.

Wike or Buhari has nothing to do with Saraki's fate. It is Kwarans who rejected him.
