Efewestern: You are the ignorant one here. I'm not even comparing Saudi Arabia to Libya, I'm just pointing the hypocrisy of US and her allies.
When the Libya uprising started, the Americans were busy looking for way to invade Libya, and when it was confirmed that Gaddafi killed some "Innocent" Civilians, the Americans came in with several bombardment, they went as far as arming the rebels, they even blackmailed Libya's only ally "Russia", Now after they have successfully completed their objective, they left the country, without even ensuring peace and stability.
Now back to Saudi.
We all know about the current ongoing war in Yemen, Saudi have being killing Innocent civilians in Yemen, they sponsored total blockage, they have being bombing several civilian outlets (Hospital, school, etc), and when UN confronted them they were busy giving silly excuses, now these So called America and her Allies who invaded Libya because Gaddafi killed some civilians are still the ones supporting Saudi Arabia.
Yemen can burn to ashes for all they care, it's none of their business! There is no hypocrisy here. Saudi is not killing Saudi citizens in their hundreds or thousands or threatening to kill them. Gaddafi was killing protesters. No leader has ever been removed because he went to war with another country unless he lost the war and was conquered. Killing citizens is very different. Gadaffi will be alive today if all he did was support a faction in the Yemeni civil war which Iran is currently doing. |

djon78: You called him loquacious
Please Google Libya underwater reserve built by Gaddafi for Libya at the cost of billions of dollars
Libya had the best welfare in Africa and middle East before they killed him How did you arrive at the bold? Do not compare Libya with sub-saharan Africa countries, compare it with its fellow Arabs with large oil reserve and small population and you will see how poorly managed Libya was. Libya had more than 150 billion dollars in reserve talk less of the gold bar he had This is irrelevant. Even with the reserve money, Gadaffi is all talk no action. Why were the West courting Gaddafi then. George Bush Jr sent condoleza rice the then Secretary of States more than twice to court his friendship Business is not courting even if some people think so. India does not need to court Nigeria before buying our crude. Gadaffi either has to sell oil or starve. London school of economics was courting his son saif even gave the guy PhD You are being deceived, LSE does not sell doctorates. Gaddafi will still remain the best leader of African origin for what he did for his people. No African leader comes close minus Nelson Mandela. Yes, he will be the best leader for daft Africans who can't think of anything outside their next meal and sex. For smart Africans, they understand that entertainment and sustainable achievement are quite different. Even in Nigeria, with all the bad things and propaganda against Sani Abacha. No Nigerian leader had better, policies that touched the ordinary mans life. Now I understand your love for Gadaffi. You also love Abacha, the murderer who touched poor men's life by stashing billions in Swiss bank accounts. Until the black man totally dissociates from colonialists, he can never move forward. Why don't you lead the way by stopping the use of colonialist technology, wearing their clothes or eating their food? China is not US friend, yet it is the largest importer of US Agricultural products. Putin hates Europe, yet he sells them gas and also imports heavy equipment from there. These are countries interested in development not noise making. The reason for bad governance in Africa is because there are too many suckers who are easily fooled with emotional arguments. |

omu4364: Saudi Arabia does not depend on natural resources only. Saudi is totally dependent on oil. The Americans destroyed Libya or the country could have been the center of destination in Africa by now It will just be another Arab country where blacks go to become servants and slaves, nothing special. so u mean Nigeria with large oil is better than some countries without oil [/quote]Yes, that is the plain truth. However, this was my post with regard to Libya: every country with large oil and small population is better off than others without, regardless of the leader in charge. |

If it were true then all they hard to do is tweak the immigration laws. Canada has always been the biggest liars in terms of economic statistics, always wanting the world to see them in a different light. What Canada really wants are the brightest who already making a difference in their birth country, for those in this elite category, they have no problem getting decent jobs. But many people don't know this. Canada makes false claims to generate buzz for their immigration program. Then you later see graduates picking garbage and working as gatemen due to frustration. |

Unity has never been achieved through showing good reasons because a good reason to one is a dangerous one to the other. Something we saw even before the Libyan crisis started.
Ghadaffi wanted to create United States of Africa.
Had the plan worked, the entire west will lose their economic grip on Africa.
So they had to move in fast to stop the man.
They created the Libyan crisis that will enable them to take the man out.
End of story. Nigeria can't even unite, yet a delusional man want to create a Uited States of Africa and you believed him. SMH. |

Obidikejr: FYI Libya was the richest country in Africa then, with the average income earner per head at $31,000. They were the highest producers of oil in Africa also, and the wealth from the oil revenues are evenly distributed amongst the populace and into building the empire. Not to mention wealth known gold.
And true, he wanted to unite Africa and provide a leading body for the African countries in what would have been known as "Bank of Africa/Africa Bank". To free the black race from the grasp of the world bank.
I cannot vouch for the 500B amount the op stated, I have no idea or read or viewed any news of it during that time.
Libya is tiny, so is Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other rich oil states around the middle east but very wealthy. Gadaffi is a loquacious, man nothing special about him. We judge people on what they do not what they claim they will do. Libya, like many countries in the Arab world, relies solely on oil. Its redeeming feature is the small population. If there are only 6 million people in Nigeria, Dubai will look like a joke to us. I am just surprised at how people believe myths without serious thought. |

Libya was the pride of Africa then. can u compare Libya in the time of Gaddafi and now that he is dead. the Americans destroyed Libya and turned it into d headquarters of terrorist in Africa they supplied millions of weapons to terrorists just to kill Gaddafi and that's d same weapon Boko Haram are using. Your post is irrelevant to my submission. I reacted to a claim of Gadafi putting up a $500 billion dollar for a bank when his country can't manufacture ordinary toothpick. There is nothing special about Gadaffi, every country with large oil and small population is better off than others without, regardless of the leader in charge. That was the reason he had to go, just hope our young generation would read more about conspiracy theories. He initiated nothing. Even China and Russia who has the military and economic resources put up such money have not attempted to do it. So it is one tiny country which can't produce its own toothpick that will make such attempt. I don't think you know what 500 billion dollar means. Efewestern: Are you just finding out how hypocritical the western world is?
They bombed the hell out of Libya, giving some silly reasons like Ghadafi killed some protesters, now in 2018, Saudi is doing worst, they have killed thousands of Children and Women this year alone, bombed hospitals and schools, yet these same People who demonized Ghadafi are still the ones backing Saudi, even selling more deadly weapons to them so they can continue with their killings.
Their next target is Iran, but I don't think they can carry out any military threat, , the Persians ain't get joy. You lots just make Nigerians look stupid in the eyes of the world. Why compare Saudi to Libya? Saudi did not kill thousands of children and women, neither did they kill protesters. If you are referring to the Yemeni war, I don't recall any country leader being removed for going to war against its neighbours. |

sanpipita: You claim I'm changing the topic then go ahead and twist her words, since when did not trusting her husband bathing their daughter turn to he can't be trusted with small girls, I said this earlier you guys are bent on blowing her comments out of proportion, she isnt only woman who feels this way, her opinion is totally hinged on fear and you can't say isn't valid. As an adult, you should understand that a few words may mean many things. A wife is afraid of letting her husband bath her child and you think it is normal? Any woman who lives in the same house with such a man is a criminal and a monster who doesn't care about her children What stop the man from molesting his daughter if she quickly goes out on an errand? Do you think paedophiles would leave their victim because they aren't bathing them? |
Celebrities › Re: Morayo Akabashorun: "My Husband Can't Bathe My Daughter" by Xisnin(m): 3:49pm On Dec 05, 2018 |
sanpipita: I'm not married, her opinion for me is more about taking precautions, its mustn't be necessarily a husband that will molest a child through bathing, could be anyone, moreover its right before our eyes there's been a rampant increase of fathers having sexual relationships with their daughters, these things don't happen by mistake, and really feel her comment been blown out of proportion isn't like her fears ain't valid. Don't change the topic. No one will disagree if she was talking about starngers. But she specifically accused her husband, the father of her child that he can't be trusted with small girls which makes him a paedophile. |
