Bigleaf1006: madridguy:You guys should stop this conspiracy stuff. If you don't test, you will have zero cases but that doesn't mean the state is free from the disease. Rather than being cynical at every turn, you should advocate for the alternative so that we can all pretend the disease doesn't exist and everyone should mingle as they feel like. After all, not more than 5% of Nigeria's 200 million will die. I am not defending anybody but just offering simple medical fact. |
Trigalee:The bold is wrong. The US doesn't really print money, it borrows money from citizens or other countries such as China and Saudi Arabia. It also has the advantage of having its currency as the basis for most international trade. Since international trade is done in dollars and other countries prefer the dollar, it appears that America is just printing money as it like when it is actually going deeper into debt. As to the Chinese, they aren't printing money primarily to borrow others, they even prefer to be paid in dollars themselves. Then, how come they are lending money to others? Because they have excess in savings courtesy of their productive economy and technology know-how that's worth trillions of dollars. If you do your research, you will see that the majority of Chinese loans are not in terms of cash but tech expertise such as building railway, roads and power plants. Thus, little money actually exchanges hands. Nigeria actually prints money but not in excess of what it produces because the paper is useless without a backup. To print freely, you either produce enough to trade with others or borrow from others to backup your new currency printing. When Zimbabwe printed more money than its economic capability, its currency was destroyed. |
Tolani0167:Shut up! |
lekki1444: ![]() What an ignorant babble. Now, I clearly understand your position given that you don't even know what a "drug" is. I can't believe this. |
Proletariat:That one is an irredeemable Trump cultist. Trump is his god. |
lekki1444:Stop worshiping Trump. He meant a literal disinfectant. If it was the other way, he won't ask them to test. You cannot test something that has not been made yet. |
Bluffly:Only mad people think it is sarcasm. He provided 2 options and said that they should be tested. He even claimed that doctors agree to carry out the test. But you are a Trump cultist, you can't be cured. |
edoairways:You must be as dumb as Trump. |
Research from BBC Monitoring shows there have been reports of arrests for spreading fake coronavirus news in India, Morocco, Thailand, Cambodia, Somalia, Ethiopia, Singapore, Botswana, Russia, South Africa - and Kenya. Why is Nigeria not on this list? |
It is always a scam to dumbasses until it hits them. |
Fake news. |
Good |
Devops:Despite the fact that Trump speaks with grade 4 level grammar, you still can't understand him. SMH |
shachris02:Lies. You don't know what phototherapy is. |
blowjohn:You are sick. |
NockMedia:Why not watch the video? There were even direct quotes from him. Don't let anyone mislead you. |
Trump cultists are ready to shoot up the Coronavirus. Just give them the address. |
Okay |
It wouldn't. |
iSlayer2:What a dunce! I suspected you are just like the rest parroting baseless conspiracies with no understanding of the core issues. I was right after all. You are so lazy that you couldn't even read a short passage before linking to it or you couldn't understand the simple language employed in there. SMH. |
North Korea is curing Coronavirus with guns to the head, Trump wants to cure people with Detergents to the lungs. |
iSlayer2:You linked to a political organization's website and the funny thing is that you didn't bother to read the content. Here is their definition. Biological Weapon. A biological weapon is an item of material which projects, disperses, or disseminates a biological agent; including arthropod vectors. Biological Agent (BA). The NATO definition of a biological agent is: a microorganism (or a toxin derived from it) which causes disease in man, plants or animals or which causes the deterioration of material. From further discussion on the site, it is clear that any disease that is infectious, virulent, and toxic can be potentially used as a biological weapon. However, it makes zero sense to call something a biological weapon when you have no evidence of it being used as a weapon. |
SIRTee15:Does it matter who I am? Or do we need an ID to comment on political issues? The bold is the reason why the country has refused to progress. You sound just like our clueless politicians saying nice things that people wants to hear. What does the bold means? Please articulate your plans for Nigeria. It is none of my business what US aims to do, but it must stop Chinese predatory n exploitative practice is hurting the rest of the world.....Another emotional and empty statement. Who are the rest of the world that is hurting? What the hell does opening up economy means, do you think you can compete with any productive economy? What assets is the Chinese government buying up everywhere? Please list them. It is up to each country to set its rule according to its preferences. Chinese keep claiming it's a developing economy (which is laughabe even to a toddler)...thereby getting special favours from WTO.....What special favors does it receive from WTO? I suppose Nigeria is also enjoying those special favors from alleged father Christmas WTO but it seems the results are invisible For most of Nigeria and many other Africa's countries existence, the west is the major contractor for various projects. Where are the technological blueprints written in English or French? Where are the giant African construction companies who learned from the English? Or are the Anglophone companies exempted from technology transfer requirements? Our top indigenous Chinese manufacturer, Innoson learned from "Chinese manuals". He must have been blind to not see the advantage of partnering with the English. Many governors, especially from South East are sponsoring people to China to learn about manufacturing, according to you, they must be stupid to not know that the Chinese will hide things from them while the Anglophones will give them the full expo. African leaders can continue to sign away the destiny of the continent once again....Can you be more specific, list the bad contracts that African governments are signing and why they are bad. How does this sound? "I am broke but I want to dictate the terms of the infrastructure I want you to build for me using a loan I will take from you. I want all the benefits(aside from the infrastructure I will get). Better agree or I will contract the other people who will charge me 5 times of the money I don't have at a higher interest rate." I wonder why smart men like you are not in charge so you can give us magical deals that even nations with real power cannot push through. What people like you never do is give us an ideal example of a favorable contract. I supposed it is very difficult to face real issues but talking is cheap. But they should know Chinese are unforgiven and they lack conscience....We haven't forgotten the saints with a conscience who bought and shipped millions of people for plantation works. It took years of war and many violent riots before they stopped being "benevolent" to their servants. They don't even see their countrymen as equal to this day. Who else can break this record? As to people working in Chinese factories, there is nothing unique about their situation. They are unskilled and expendable workers who are treated badly regardless of their nationality. Iphone is being made in China because Apple can get away with many violations in China and Chinese workers are more "obedient" than their western counterparts. Same with Bangladesh and Vietnam with their sweatshops. But the westerners with a conscience don't mind using these products and pretend to "see no evil" in the horrible conditions those workers are placed. Those good people today are still here bribing government officials and running our oil industry. Yet, no one seems to care to challenge the master's hold because they are "good" masters who must be pampered. |
Trump ![]() |
I am against lockdown because it is not really being enforced. Only small business owners staff are bearing the burdens. The lockdown should be lifted while interstate traveling should be strictly controlled but for essential goods. |
Angelfrost:You apparently don't understand religion and science. You are also conflating a scientists personal belief with the society enforcement of religious doctrines. "Highly religious" scientists will be too little and too few and we can predict that majority of them will be below average. There is a clear difference between belief and religiosity. Moreover, science works regardless of faith or lack of it, so a scientist being religious is irrelevant. However, there is a wide difference between a religious society and a secular one that has scientists who happen to be theists. The first would respond with "It is not my portion and god is in control" in case of a new problem and the other will ask "what are the causes and how do we stop it". Religious society are correlated with poverty and poor education. Even within a secular and advanced society, the most religious parts are the poorest. Look at the US for example, the bottom of the poverty table are filled with highly religious states. It is not a coincidence. |
Charleys:Why don't you come up with a cure first? We have had Influenza and HIV and many other virus diseases for years, yet you brilliant theorists who know more than actual experts couldn't come up with a cure Let those who know what they are doing focus on their job. |
Dreal1247:How about the ones you have been signing with the non-Chinese for decades where are the results? |
Empty rhetorics. Bring out your plans and let us see who will support you. The US is free to move manufacturing back to the US as long as they accept 2-3 times price increase, insane subsidy, and heavier taxes which republicans have been fighting against for years because it is against "capitalism". It is funny how the so-called capitalists are stylishly blaming capitalism(free pricing) for their problems. It will be funny to watch the so-called US capitalist economy gradually adopts socialist principles to fight economic war. The US outcompetes other countries in Agriculture by subsidizing farmers but they don't see problems with such. The West’s response must extend much further — it will require a unified strategy among free nations to counter China’s trade predation and its corruption of our mutual security. The idea of the "west" is dead. Trump buried it with isolationism. If Mitt is counting on the EU, he has missed it. The idea of the European army is being taken seriously for the first time in history because the US showed that they can't be trusted through Trump. The powerhouse of the EU is the liberals who are largely pacifist and won't accept a racist policy. Is it the same west that Trumps referred to as parasites and continually bully and mock? Trump and the UK are currently locked in an economic battle over drugs because Trump thinks they are cheating American companies. Even Canada is not left out. No one trusts the US leadership again, we are back to a multipolar world. |
Mobi47:Waste of school fees. You should have learned a trade. |
iSlayer2:Explain the traits of a biological weapon and list your sources. |
kiyosaki1:Those are speculations unless you can present a scientific paper that supports your claim regarding different hemispheres. Previous works are largely useless for a novel virus. Of course, it has some similarities with other Coronavirus but it is still different. "virus fares better in cold and dry weather" is no good news unless we know what fares better mean for the actual spread of Sars-Cov-2, not some random virus. Are we talking about a 90%, 50% or 5% drop? How does one even compare a large country such as Australia with tiny Korea on just hemisphere and weather? When it is common knowledge that human interactions is the primary driver of the disease spread. It is not an accident that Lagos has most cases. A big factor is the population density, if you spread out the population of Lagos to a state like Bornu, it will make no sense to not relax the lockdown immediately. The reasons are thought to include that respiratory droplets remain airborne for longer in colder weather, and that viruses degrade more quickly on hotter surfaces, because a protective layer of fat that envelops them dries out faster. We do not know that the majority or even a significant infection occurs from droplets traveling around to infect people. Viruses are very different from one another and some don't even have fat layer. "Hotter surface" and "Quickly" are sales, not a scientific language, we need the actual temperature and time it takes Sars Cov-2 to degrade on its own to make any meaningful inference. Even if the guess is correct, it won't matter because people interact mostly in close spaces, offices, buses, markets and the virus does not need to travel to infect another person. |
