HealthRe: Raymond Dokpesi: When Did Malaria Become Synonymous With COVID-19? by Xisnin(m):
MuchAdo:
What spectacular thing do you think government has done to keep the number of deaths less than 200huh
I am assuming you are not a conspiracy nutter who is looking for gotchas.

Here are some stats of total deaths/total cases for random countries.

USA
86912/1457593
Percent death: 6%

Nigeria:
157/5,162
Percent death: 3%

China
4,633/82,933
Percent deaths: 5.5%

Japan
697/16120
Percent deaths: 4%

Germany
7,928/174,975
Percent deaths: 4.5%

Russia
2418/262843
Percent deaths: 0.91%

France
27,425/178,870
Percent deaths: 15.3%

Saudi Arabia
283/46,869
Percent deaths: 0.6%

Spain
27321/272646
Percent of deaths: 10%

What spectacular thing did Russia do(0.91% deaths) that France could not(15.3% deaths)?

What spectacular thing did Saudi Arabia do(0.6% deaths) that Spain could not(10% deaths)?

Almost every question about Covid-19 case numbers can be explained by population density, immigration/tourist influx at the beginning of the crisis, and the percentage of old people they have.

People like Dokpesi are a waste of oxygen and resources.
He should have been quarantined in his home along with families and not allow to go out until he tests positive or dies.
There is no reason why the government should have wasted money to house and treat him.

The only reason people are asking questions they can't understand is because they are losing money not out of concern for the disease.

If the Coronavirus were that lethal on us at it were on them abroad, don't you think we all would have been dead by nowhuh
Coronavirus is not that lethal in any country.
Anyone telling you otherwise is lying.

Even if we did nothing, it won't kill more than 5% of the populace, which is a mere 10 million Nigerians.
We will still have 190 million people alive at the end of the day though every other country will ban us from visiting them for the next 3+ years.

When I said it, people called for my head. If you have malaria, just go to NCDC office and see if you won't test positive for Covid 19. Lalasticlala! NCDC , stop lying to Nigerians , they have suffered enough
How do you know you have malaria and not any of Typhoid, Lassa fever, Dengue fever, and their combinations?

The above diseases share many symptoms.
If you are presented with patients with the above diseases can you tell what specific diseases they have based on looks or
symptoms alone?

Also, nobody goes to the NCDC's office for anything beyond business or media reports.
PoliticsRe: Atiku: Sell Presidential Jets, Cancel N27bn National Assembly Renovation Fund by Xisnin(m): 8:48am On May 15, 2020
Only one of the pieces of advice is practical.
No one will buy the jets in this present time.

But we can do away with renovating the national assembly.
HealthRe: Raymond Dokpesi: When Did Malaria Become Synonymous With COVID-19? by Xisnin(m):
He is just another fool.
Aside from looting the national wealth, most Nigerian politicians are surprisingly dumb.
They can't see the next move.

He could have checked Nigerian statistics on active malaria cases
and compare them with the meager 5000 Covid-19 cases recorded for the last 3 months.

Here is what any thinking person already knows:
Patients can have a combination of diseases such as malaria, Typhoid,
Tuberculosis and others at the same time especially when the immune system is overstressed.
Having malaria doesn't mean you don't have other diseases.

If the government had done nothing, doctors would have fled the hospital en masse
or refuse to treat patients. People like him with high BP and various health conditions
wouldn't survive a month without medical assistance.
He doesn't care that doctors, nurses, pharmacists, other hospital workers, and emergency patients
will suffer disproportionate deaths from the fallout of his proposed idiocy.

Unfortunately, the people that are supposed to be dying are not.

Am Igbo. Men here take care of their family. It is the norm. All my uncles' wives are unemployed and are well catered for . They all live in the houses built by their husbands, they all drive in cars bought by their husbands. My mum used to be too till she scattered working recently but whatever she makes goes back to her. So, u see Igbo men take care of their wives. They take pride in doing that . They care about no 50/50.
If you are that assured, you wouldn't be asking for advice.
From experience, even some of those so-called unemployed women manage their husband's
business for free on a part-time basis.

Economic uncertainty is biting harder everywhere which means fewer
men are going to be married as the years go by.

It is someone who is financially-stable that will stick to some vainglorious pride.

The killing cannot be that simple and 'motiveless'.
It means they must have had a prior reason to kill them, asking for ransome was just for them to feel smart, that they achieved their primary aim of killing those people and collected money in the bargain.
Like making them feel like 'smart dons'.
No kidnapper won collect ransome and still kill his victim, victims in this case.
One victim could accidentally die as a result of underlying health issue made worse by the kidnapping ordeal or the sheer trauma of the ordeal itself. But wasting 3 kidnapped lives has a reason far above ransome and it must surely have been the primary reason.
There may be another motive.
But professional kidnappers kill victims all the time even after collecting ransom for various reasons.

Right now, we don't yet know if the kidnappers are known to the three victims.

They killed the victims after collecting ransom.

What i actually mean is that they dont actually have black interest at heart,if they had their way they will want to crush us,but they see that they cant succeed in doing that, that why they just lay back and do their thing, dont be deceived by them, look into their eyes you will clearly see that they hate you.
What is black interest?
Why should they love you?
You can't even extend love to some tribes in your country
but you want a foreigner to be spoonfeeding you.
Who loves you?

Have you read the published article of how they use money they make in Nigeria to develop their village in lebanon, lebanon is in their hearts totally even though they were born here and make their money here, unlike nigerians who were born in foreign countries that mostly remain loyal to their birth countries sometimes outrightly dissociating themselves from nigeria, these people arent like that .To them lebanon remains first.
Nigerian born in foreign countries are not loyal.
Those who lose interest in Nigeria were raised with low self-esteem, self-hate or total ignorance
and are mainly making economic decisions not a patriotic one.

Let us even look at Lagos.
Do you think the businessmen in Lagos live there out of love to develop the state?

To the average Nigerian, Nigeria is not first, not even tenth, they will sabotage, loot and undermine at any opportunity.
But here you are trying to impose a standard you do not meet yourself on others.

How dare these men not more Nigerian than an average Nigerian?

[quote author=samsard post=88990485]If you missed an economy class, the whole world literally runs on debt! Loans aren't necessarily bad, even communist China owes a ton of debt. Unhealthy loans are the ones that are bad. I would rather live in a credit economy where the quality of life is good than in a hell hole like Nigeria not owing.
It is actually "economics class".

The whole world does not run on debt.
Even if it were, that doesn't mean that debt is good for you in particular or should be unlimited as you have no robust buffer to safeguard your livelihood.

"Unhealthy loans are the ones that are bad"
The above quote is meaningless.
No one knows for certain that a personal loan will be bad at the time of giving it.
The creditor is taking a risk akin to gambling.
Subprime mortgages were good loans until it triggered 2008 financial crisis
which wrecked millions of lives financially.

What happens if you lose your job or experiene a breakdown?
Even states defaults on their loans, let alone an individual.

[quote]I sometimes laugh at people who scoff at consumerism in the world like it isn't what drives the global economy. If everyone just went back to the basics and stopped borrowing, then the world drives a lot more slowly and some people would have no place. There is no big world economy with a significant population that isn't debt-driven.
Again you confuse states debt with individuals.
Most of human existence were spent not in debt.

If you have a secret gold mine in your room, you may take debt against
future mining. However, if you borrow 100K Naira to buy a phone, you are
not 100K rich, you have become poorer.

When the full economy cycle comes home to roost, you are left naked unable
to weather the storm. America is about to be hit with another wave of homelessness and suicides due to lockdown when the 2008 one has not been fully resolved.

It is better to be averagely okay than to fall flat from the height of "debt wealth".
