gerizzim: "according to your own research.....". a strong bachelor talking. who told you most couples are tired after 1year.? You see this marriage of a thing is just over hyped, the excitement of getting married doesn't worth it. a lady and a man living a free life doing what they love to do without any questioning, a man that drink for instance can still be in drinking bar till 12am till he comes home, a lady can also go out and comes in at will but once married all or most of those things are supposed to be thrown away but it doesn't happen like that. As a bachelor you have so many characteristics you want your future wife to possess but don't let me deceive you, you can't get a woman that'll have all. If anyone claim to have it all she's likely to be a pretender. If you ask. Do this Assignment before getting married. Ask 100 married men, if that's too much for you just ask 10, first beg them to be very honest with you then continue to be asking them questions about marriage.do the same with women. You can just do as if you're doing school research and don't let it be people that knows you coz they won't tell you the truth. Don't do it around your area. Na manage everyone dey manage no fully happy married life is very scarce. Women thinking and reasoning are entirely different from men own. If you see a marriage of more than 5yrs that the man has never beat his wife just know that the man is able to control himself not that the wife has never insulted him. After getting married misunderstanding will always be coming, things hidden will be revealed on each side, see finish will also comes in, the man will like to be in full control which it's hard to get.men go into marriage for many reasons of which full unrestricted asses to sex is mostly part of it. So anytime he's being restricted triggers some kind of negative thinking from within............... You can court for 10yrs but you'll never fully know each other until after getting married............................ |

thebosstrevor1: Cool
Lol… I actually got that pic from the internet just to show reference to what you are saying. I have the actual pic with its recent environment and how it looks like in the night on my phone. It is very beautiful, There are no old buildings around the place.. most of the area are now construction sites for luxury apartments
Every open minded Nigerians who have been to Accra say it is better than Lagos or abj… that is fact, in fact is that many Nigerians, Americans and Europeans are now making Accra their home.
And no where did I write that Accra is up to the standard of Dubai, what I wrote is that the standard and present infrastructure more than Lagos and in fact competing with abj
When it comes to quality of life, Accra beats both cities. OK i hear you but I no dey like the beauty part. Constant light only can make one fall in love with a place which Nigeria lacks, generator noise won't be disturbing you, better road network, getting taxi to drop you to your location 24/7 so with these and many aspects Accra is better, you can also use beauty in term of neatness but the building structures no dey there. You don't need to throw punches that I'm not making sense we're just saying our different opinions. Modified. You said no old buildings around . check the PIC you uploaded and see that old two storeys building. I know the building it's along the highway im talking about and all the buildings there are all old. |

thebosstrevor1: In every capital, there are areas where rich and poor people live, even in Europe or america, it is the same thing. These areas make up the landscape of the capital city, different people might be living in the same city but they have 2 different reality. So castigating me for my experience or trying to say, i am lieing or it is my first time of traveling does not make sense. Do i have to live in a city for 2 years to know the areas that are beautiful?
This is my observation in accra when compared to lagos and abuja.
Accra has 24/7 electricity something you can hardly get in many neighborhoods in abuja and lagos.
Yes, lagos is a shit hole when compared to accra, the infrastructures in lagos are decaying, bus stops are getting old and supporting irons are rusted, traffic is brutal, roads are very bad, cars are old and well beaten by panel beaters, people drive anyhow, chao and disorganization all over the place. They don't obey traffic rules and regulations, at 6 am in accra, drivers still obey the traffic lights
there are more gated communities in lagos and abj, mansions are popular in upscale neighborhoods in nigeria, even if you are living in VGC in lagos, you know that once you leave your gated community, yoù are entering into a world of choas. This something i hardly experienced in Accra.
Abuja roads are bigger and wider, electricity is an issue, upscale residential areas are filled with mansions, in accra they are filled with lighted and tall modern apartments buildings which add to the beauty of the city. Tall apartment buildings are now a common sight in east legion to ringway down to Osu.
Luxury shopping and malls that are competing with European standards are now a common thing in accra, i am not talking about Accra mall, good 3 to 4 star hotels that are competing in terms of services with some 5 star hotels in Nigeria...
In my opinion for peace and higher standard of living accra is the place, if you are looking for choas or like fast life, then lagos is for you, as for abj, i have no word to describe it other than it is filled with government parastatals and most of the workers live in the outskirts of the city.
By the way are you making reference to osu ringway estate or this luxury apartment building below
Lol this building you uploaded, the environment is dirty and not neat, it's a recently completed buildings along aflao highway, stand beside the highway and take a picture of it, make sure capture those old buildings around it and send it to your friends in naija that it's Dubai then see their responses 😃. Don't just worry yourself i know all those places wella and there's no anywhere there can be used to fake someone to think it's abroad. The only area Accra is better is light and that's why i prefer it to any Nigerian city, also you can talk of security and that depends on the area coz now people get robbed often in many areas now(along the street at night)
So don't base your comparison on beauty, even Ghanaians are like woww when they see some beautiful locations in Nollywood movies, |

Congrats, now you guys will know the reality of living as husband and wife. Marriage is full of " had I known", "so you've been hiding yourself all these while?", regrets here and there bcoz "see finish" will actually come, according to my own research over 95% of married couples are tired of their marriage after one year, many of them remain in the marriage doing suffering and smiling cos of one reason or the others, the remaining ones go for divorce. So my new couples make una dey tolerate una self oh. No one is actually perfect.I wish you well. |

thebosstrevor1: you might be the one high on weed. I dont know where your anger is coming from, it is just a pity that you can be filled with so much rage, lagos is a shit hole even abuja
Btw, Our reality and experience are both different, whatever you like to believe is up to you.
when last did you visit Accra? don't you think things can change or do you expect things to be stagnant?
I stayed at east legon, if you like don't agree but that place beat most of our highbrow areas in Nigeria that is including maitama and VI.
There is a lot of luxury shopping going on there, luxury malls, a lot of serviced apartments, luxury apartments for sale, luxury restaurants, bar and luxury car dealerships, that alone is enough to show the standard of living, that means there are lot of ghanians earning a good salary and also foreigners investing in the country.
Yes, KFC is all over the place, even pizza hut. in Nigeria, you have to drive to a mall to get KFC or pizza from these american brand. a basket of boneless chicken (18 pcs) in kfc in accra is 110 cedis that is around 5k while here in Nigeria 12 Pcs Hot & Crispy/Original Chicken & 1 Pepsi 1.5 L goes for ₦13,400.00
whether it is my first time or 10th time, is none of your biz, i am just sharing my experience in ghana and then comparing it to Nigeria, and I can confidently say life in Accra is more peaceful. traffic in the night might be an issue but it is less stressful than Nigeria, the standard of living is more higher in accra than in nigeria.
yes, with the level of construction going on there and the type of luxury apartments and luxury shopping going on there, Accra will be the new Johannesburg of west africa in the next 10 years.
Now shoot yourself in the head I do not see much lies in all what you've said but east legon is different from Alajo, malam, kotobabi,Dome, etc so generalising all with east legon experience is biased. This can mislead many, thinking they're coming to experience same, but saying accra is more beautiful than Lagos and Abuja combined shows that the first time travelling out of your state may be passing through Lagos state to Accra. My first time in Abuja was 2014 I actually came from outside the country to authenticate my documents. I remember taking pictures on many parts and people thought the pictures were taking in an advanced country, around same period was also my first visit to VI/Lekki. where in that east legon can you take pics to convince people of taking it in an advanced country or you'll stand at the front of that two tallest buildings there? I don't know the buildings name but not far from the mall. |

In doing these you'll win more people to your side.
A pastor as the VP, tell me what different he's been making.
Muslim/Muslim, Christian/Christian or mixed ticket adds no value to the economy. *Bishop/pastor ticket won't stop terrorist from killing people(Christians to be specific) Religion has done more harm to Nigerians/Nigeria.
It's in Nigerian you'll hear people declaring fasting and Prayer to end terrorism , to end corona virus.

Farmerakinloye6: Mistake that can cost you your farm: 1 fertilizer; know dosage, when and how to apply it. If you do mistake, your TOMATO will die. 2. Manure, if you do not allow your poultry littter, pig, cow e.g to compost and you use it fresh, your TOMATO will die. 3. Insecticide, if high dosage is use especially on young tomato, the result will be devastating. 4. Namatode, if you don't know history or you are using the farm land for the first time to cultivate TOMATO,it make sense to treat the soil. Have heard someone said "he lost 6000 stand to namatode." 5. Seedlings tray, after you sow seed inside seedlings tray spread them on soil (if the soil is fertile, your seedlings will thank you), if you spread them on concrete they will be dying/cripple one after other maybe 10-15days, because there root has shoot out and could not penetrate to search for nutrient/food. Always look before you leap...more loading....TOMATO Farmer pls add your own and let make Nigeria Great!! please what causes this problem

SUFFERInSMILIIN: Because of the high level of Crime of Nigerian citizen it is very difficult to invest even in famine and other businesses in the village because you need to go through the Investment promotion council and gipc which is half a million u.s. dollar up-front. This figure was put in place so that Nigerians do not just come to Ghana and stop committing a horrible crime voting for criminals supporting criminals and wanting a criminal to lead them in a foreign man's land lol, so you mean if you rent land and start farming Government will come for you because you don’t half half a million dollar? All these things are just formalities on paper holding ground a little on their major markets I can categorically tell you that the main reason it was enforced then was bcoz of the election which their president was trying to win. At that time re-election wasn’t sure for him and he didn’t want the opposition to use that against him. So when the union started agitation and demanded that Government must enforce the law, and after months of agitation they noticed that the Government wasn’t ready, they took the law into their hands and started locking Nigerians shops. The IGP gave direction for the perpetrators to be arrested and locked up and that the shops to be reopened with immediate effect. With continued pressure and as a typical African politician the president didn’t want it to appear as if he didn’t consider his citizens first before the foreigners and with the election approaching so he yielded, You can see that in how he struggled to win the election. I have businesses in the city of Accra so do many Nigerians and throughout that time there wasn’t any problem except those In Circle market and their spare parts market, Abossu okai ( I’m not sure I got the spellings correct ) and Mokola market(which they opened back in less than a month) |

buchichris: Hws Ghana in terms of business It depends on the type of business you want to do, but the cost of settling up business is like times 3 of naija, Accommodation too is more expensive, profit margin can also be times 2-3 of naija. If your business will require renting a shop/office apartment, that’s also more expenses. My advice is if you really love to invest in Ghana don’t stay in Accra, go to one of the villages and invest in FARMING, with this I can assure you that you’ll never regret it. BUT do your homework and plan well before starting. |

Ehismarkninetee: Let me tell you the truth, if you intend to establish a business here. Have it in the back of your mind that there is the possibility that it might not work out. The truth is that Ghanaians nor like to spend the way we Nigerians like to. Also, Ghanaians don’t patronize foreigners over their own people, only if you are married to them, they can patronize you. So my genuine advice is don’t make the mistake of starting a business in Ghana. It’s too risky This is totally wrong, Base on personal experience Ghanaians love to patronize Nigerians even more than their own fellow Ghanaians. If it’s Handwork, they believe Nigerians know better, if it’s business, they believe Nigerians sell cheaper. One thing we don’t really know is we believe traveling abroad is automatic way to get money but location can be an advantage but doesn’t really determine making it in life. That’s why you see millionaires in the villages while some are struggling to eat two times per day in the cities. Investing in Accra needs close monitoring just like it is even in Nigeria, it’s not advisable to invest in any business you can’t personally manage. |

TastyFriedPussy: thanks.. About that NOUN University stuff you talked about, I have a few questions..
1) how much is the school fees yearly to study computer science
2) Is the certificate of the school respected and can one get a job with it..
3) I heard their graduates are not allowed to do NYSC, how true is this.
Please any other information you have too would really be appreciated.. for Computer Science budget like 100k for first semester 100level, this should cover application fees plus other expenses. You won’t even finish that 100k . About 56k for second semester. As for the certificate, is valid as other reputable universities in Nigeria and well recognized abroad especially for further study. Being an open universities lot of People think the certificate is easier to get or the exam will be easy to pass. The only thing easy in that school is the admission, since you don’t need Jamb or any entrance exam to get admission. In NOUN , no sorting, you don’t even know who will mark your exam or where it’ll be marked, From 100 to 200l it’s cbt( computer based test) you know your scores immediately submitting your exam or when the computer automatically logs you out when the time is up. From 300l upward it’s written exam called POP( pen on paper) On whether you can get a job with the Certificate, no certificate guarantees you employment in this present Nigeria but with a CS degree, once you can equip yourself with necessary skills, the certificate will only be an advantage... On NYSC. NYSC issues three certificates and all these certificates serve the same purpose, none is superior/inferior to the other(s). Exemption, Exclusion and Discharge certificates. The one NYSC issues to NOUN students is Exclusion letter, exemption letter is for people who are above 30yrs before graduation. NOUN students are now cleared and allowed to go for service it’s only the school that are not yet ready to process their students for that but to me that service is a waste of time. If you’re already working and earning good pay you won’t even like going to waste one year serving the Government with that peanut they call allowee or what is it called. |
