Politics › Re: Olajide Oduyoye To LASTMA Officials: They Will Turn On Us If We Don't Change by yadnus1(m): 6:32am On Oct 29, 2020
Is this the best approach?if you must talk to ur men gather them together and do so or better still pass the message across to them via internal memo.we all know your outfit was set up by the owners of Lagos to generate fund and the targets were set accordingly hence your cutthroat charges and the unprofessional behaviours.Your advice and admonition to your men in burgundy trousers is not our concern, the wind of change is gathering momentum every day and will sweep you all off soon.
Literature › Re: Prof. John Pepper Clark Is Dead by yadnus1(m): 4:00am On Oct 14, 2020
Rest in peace the great poet, you have made your mark in the field of literature. I still remember this nugget from you.....

You who will drive forward
But look at the rear mirror
Look at the traffic and casualties blocking the road
To the market.....
He drives well who returns
Again and again with fresh wares.

Agbogbloshie Accra,l remember this area during my spell in Ghana. This scenario is very common among the Ghanian men, they always help their women with chores. But the part about going to the factory to run night shift though, I just hope he's not a machine operator.Because if fatigue sets in while operating, he might lost a hand, and won't be able to assist again. Kudos to him though.

Politics › Re: How EFCC Can Win Corruption Cases In Court – Obasanjo by yadnus1(m): 11:09am On Apr 10, 2017
We cannot fight corruption with the existing Judiciary system. A special system should be formulated whereby a special court would be set up with the sole mandate of trying those accused of corruption.A specific time must be highlighted from the arresting time till the verdict pronouncement while the investigation process would be speed up as much as possible.

So the Judge based his verdict on the demeanor and the body language of the accuse, all is well with our judicial process. The sentence would had been different if the shoe was in the other foot.Only the poor get tough sentence in our country, the rich escape with a slap on the wrist.May the Lord save us.

Crime › Re: Police Uncover Ritualists’ Den In Ogun, Arrest Two Ritualists (photos) by yadnus1(m): 2:49pm On Oct 27, 2016
From the pictures depicted, it's clear that the so called 'den' is nothing but the seclusion area where masquerades usually carry out their rituals and other stuff, the ( ile egun)inscribed on the wall really affirmed this assertion.Only the initiates can have access to the area, that police can actually get in there to plunder it in the name of looking for evidences is a pointer to how far our culture had degraded. In those days, none of those police would have come out of the place alive,It is not a Father Xmas Grotto-but if these suspects carried out other nefarious activities there as alleged by the police they should be made to face the wrath of the law.But invading some people sacred place of worship and described it as a den is wrong.
Sports › Re: Parade Truck Used By Enugu Rangers During NPFL Trophy Display by yadnus1(m): 2:44pm On Oct 17, 2016
An open-top bus built for this purpose costs less than N50m,as a state owned club(and a club of that pedigree)could comfortably afford one.

But l think the September-July academic session system came into inception in 1990 when the 6-3-3-4 system was introduced. Car Talk › Re: Lagos State Ministry Of Transportation Introduces The Electronic Billing System by yadnus1(m): 1:47pm On Aug 22, 2016
This is better than the existing system of torture they subject motorists to,all in the name of violation traffic law.Traffic offence is nothing worthy of the stress they make us pass through during the bail-out.The other day l spent the whole day shuttling between all commercial banks in Lagos trying to pay the 2k fine. The payment platform was unavailable throughout. This is a welcome development.

NYSC › Re: Corper Tonia's Mother Got Her Through University Through Her Petty Business by yadnus1(m): 2:57pm On Jul 16, 2016
Some people and their penchant for copy copy.Late last year a youth corper-Joseph Godwin posted his Mum pictures who sells fish to see him through his education; and the picture made waves on internet giving him recognition and secured him a good job in the process. This female version of a graduate raised without a sliver spoon suddenly materialize from nowhere. It's good to celebrate our parents, especially when they have to raise us through hardship but the means through which we go about should be innovative and as original as possible. I'm not hating, l just hate the way social media kills ideas and creativities,it makes us too lazy to be innovative. Before this year runs out this will become a trend, just like the toilet selfies, people hawking their CVs on placards, photoshoot bombing..... let's be creative for once abeg!
