@ All Yoruba here, just start walking your talk. You already know ibos to be born for the purpose of what they are doing, mischief. It's not like one off thing. We need to stop rallying around them when they are in trouble, we never expect payback but we have to put them in their place. Ibos are not our friends in Nigeria, they are worse than Hausa but just don't want.to die. They fight us daily with everything within their means. Anytime there's problem between Yoruba and Hausa, they celebrate and become spokespersons for the north, while we run to thei rescue like this Yoruba lawyer did to help an igbo who actually got what he wanted. He wasn't defending himself like the Yoruba in Ile ife did, but went out to court the trouble.

He was granted bail but as he could not afford money to perfect his bail, he was remanded in prison custody while the case was adjourned to September 21, 2016. Mr. Iroko, upon his release from prison custody, later briefed human rights lawyer and pro-democracy activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa and some other lawyers, who all offered to defend him, pro bono.

This is the way it should be. I've said it once and still saying it now that any Yoruba still living in the north or non-Yoruba states does so at their own peril. Yoruba part is what really brings foreigners to Nigeria. There are busloads of people from SE and north trooping in to the west daily, so how can any Yoruba still be out of our region while others move in droves? This sshitt's going to have the lid blown off and it won't be funny to start looking for a way out when it's too late.
ImperialYoruba:
Ive said many times. When Fulani, Hausa, Ijaw or Ibo or anybody start trouble on our land and they call security for safety, we should mow down the security first. That should be our modus operandi going forward. If trouble start and Yoruba is involved we dont to see police, we dont want to see military. If they show face they will be the first casualty. We will attack security and even kill them if they stand in our way. Let Nigeria burn!

If you are Yoruba living in North pack your family and come home to safety. If anything happens to those guys in police custody in Abuja Northerners in Yorubaland will suffer.

Good
More like it. We can't just sit back and let some people change our way of life. Yoruba are peaceful, yes, but we should never be on our knees for anyone that isn't Yoruba. You give diamond to who knows its worth.

The chances of Chinese going head on with America is almost non-existent. China war if any is going to first be with India over Himalaya. The democrats are pushing Trump to go to war with Russia but it will not happen. MCCain's investment in weapons supply can take a hit to the head this time.

Bill would amend CA’s HIV criminal statutes
By thepridela - February 3, 2017

Legislation to be introduced Monday would update California’s laws criminalizing HIV, which were adopted during the height of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s, so that a person could not be prosecuted for intentionally transmitting the virus if their sex partner tested negative for HIV.

Under current law, HIV-positive persons may be prosecuted for engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse with the specific intent to transmit HIV even if no actual transmission of the virus occurs. If convicted, they could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison.

Another law on the books targets sex workers who are HIV-positive. If the person is convicted of solicitation, even if they did not engage in intercourse, they can be sentenced to prison for 16 months or longer. That would no longer be the case under the proposed legislation.

The statutes need to be updated “because people are being prosecuted and incarcerated for no good reason under the existing HIV-specific criminal laws in California. It is unjust is the number one reason,” said Scott A. Schoettes, the HIV Project Director at Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, in a phone interview Friday with the Bay Area Reporter. “The second reason is we want to have laws promote public health not injure public health prevention efforts. Right now that is what these laws do.”

AIDS advocates have long contended the laws are outdated and, rather than protect public safety, provide incentives to people to not know their HIV status. Yet for years lawmakers in Sacramento have refused to carry legislation to amend the state’s existing penal codes that target people with HIV.

“We have been working to get this issue on the radar of legislators in California for the last couple of years,” said Naina Khanna, who is living with HIV and is executive director of the Oakland-based Positive Women’s Network-USA. “It is a tremendous opportunity to advance human rights and the dignity of people living with HIV while aligning public health efforts with current science.”

Nigerian man caught for raping his 13-year-old sister-in-law

A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his wife's younger sister in Ogun state. Kingsley Chigbo, 35, reportedly molested the 13-year-old relative at Ijoko town, Ogun state. Chigbo's crime was exposed following an enlightenment talk given by the Child Protection Network, CPN, to students of Bannis College, Ijoko Ota.
After the talk, the victim approached the staff of CPN who gave the talk and informed of how her elder sister's husband has been forcefully having sex with her after which he would threaten to kill her if she told anyone. The incident was then reported to the police at Sango Ota Divisional Headquarters by Peju Osoba, the immediate past Ogun State Coordinator of Child Protection Network, CPN, and the suspect was arrested.

The police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed this to Premium Times and revealed that when the suspect was confronted by the victim, he owned up to his crimes. Further investigation is being carried out after which the suspect will be charged to court.

Why is anyone afraid of the Amnesty international? Are the Hausa&fulani planning a mass butchery of Nigerians? Nigerians need to take to the streets in counter protest in solidarity with the organization. This is one eye witness and world account to the killings by the Hausa&fulani and brutality of the law enforcement officers. They must not be made to leave. I hope Nigeria can see this.

I thought you are Yoruba, but I'm beginning to think you are not, or maybe you are bitten by the same bug as your adversaries What business of yours is igbos relationship with Israel if you don't have horse in the race? Yoruba don't have time for all this. Yoruba mind their own business. For instance, I can't name a state in SE and match it with its governor's name except for okorocha whose first name sounds like roach, because nothing in that part of Nigeria impart Yoruba. So it's beyond me what your problem is. Every patriotic and peace loving Yoruba will be happy if Israel is taking igbos focus off Yoruba.

The silence alone shows who is boss. All Yoruba leaders are in hiding. Hausa own this country. How can a people choose to live on their knees? Who goes down without putting up a fight? Your sons were picked up to jail to torture for defending themselves and you still allow some Hausa to sleep in Ile Ife overnight? Can someone spell cowardice? This has to be some kind of joke! I'm afraid, Yoruba will remain slaves in Nigeria cos it doesn't get worse than this, in your own turf?

Can some patriotic Yoruba find and protest where the useless ooni is making speech in UK while his house is on fire. I wish he's in the US and I will personally lead a protest against him to go and put his house in order.

Politics › Re: Crisis Brews In Edo As Benin, Ijaw Youths Flaunt Placards Claiming Gelegele (pic by ycat:
Do you know why you change your history daily faster than you blink eyes, from Ekhaladeran to Ozuduwa to now Odudu, from the son to now the grandson? It's because you have no real history to the land. You Benin/Bini of today are impostors who probably came to Nigeria the way of the Ijaws as porters and now trying to catch on other people's history and glory. The real Bini are Itsekiri and Olukunmi. Can't you see that none of your numerous versions of bini prince stories can be corroborated with the reality on ground? The most important thing that has been established is that your first oba came from Ile ife, Yorubaland to rule over you. Btw, Oduduwa is a Yoruba phrase Odu To Da Iwa. So go and start working on another similar word. It must be really hard for you if you have to find a hole and crumbs from another tribe to make a history for your people. Also, Gelegele is a Yoruba word for riverbed or so. If only you so-called Benin can just open your eyes, you will see that you are just day dreaming. Every once great kingdom still have something to show for it, not even villages around you have your mark yet you want to compare yourself with Yoruba who sparse at least 3 countries? You do have a lot of gut. Don't blame you, If wishes are horses you would want.to climb the highest one. So it doesn't matter how often you bring this up, you were nobody and still ain't, all you have is 'conquered' written all over you.
Kirigidi:
The name "ODUDUWA" appears to have originated from Edo language. Here is the meaning of Oduduwa in Edoid languages: "ODUDU" [means "abundance", "plenty", "surplus"", "great"] "UWA" [means "riches", "fortunes", blessings, prosperity]. Joined together, "Odudu+uwa" therefore means "Abundant Blessings" or "Great Riches/ Fortune". The name Oduduwa in Edoid languages signifies someone that is very fortunate or has good luck following him. Proudly Urhobo!

You can't be the instigators and still have your blood-thirsty voice heard at the same time. The Hausa that are still back in Ife with bowls in hand to receive food from a senator are ghosts, right? I don't blame you at all, it's all because of the zero value you place on human lives that has made you feel invisible, Let's wait and see if Yoruba leaders will roll over again. But know that you won't continue to have it this way, the polar bag is getting full.
