I actually advertised the one on your neck as you can see with all the knocks you’re getting by the minute.

Show me in the copy of the agreement they signed where president Tinubu says he’s going to put a stop to the second mainstay of his country, after he said publicly that he will do what’s necessary for his own people? Even what you put down there can be interpreted in 100 different ways. Plus the special interest/lobbyist could have written that just to get paid. Use your head man! China sits on top of UN but still the highest emissions polluters, India is second and nobody can tell them to stop their ways of life.

Like I said earlier, stop reading fantasies, it will make you the dumbest in the room, we have the smartest president in charge and he told to the power-that-be’s face that we will do green energy our own way.

ShoeGetSize:
Thank you for advertising that empty room for vacancy that sits on your neck.

But I noticed you didn't answer my question. Why did your "president" sign and ratify the COP28 Climate Treaty which has a goal of drastically reducing the use of fossil fuels by the year 2030? Does your president know that in strategic terms, 2030 is just around the corner and it is not as far away as he seems to think it is?

Does your president think that Nigeria is a world power which can just walk away from Climate change commitments the way that Trump's United States walked away from the Paris Climate Protocols?

I know that given the limitations of your meagre mental resources, you can't even begin to answer any of these questions, but I asked them anyway because I think others can learn from your folly.

You are the stupid one here for reading fantasies. Oil has come to stay in our world, electric vehicle is unsustainable. Do you even know that you need a lot of oil to power the electric vehicle charging stations, you bunch of educated illiterates? Tesla has just laid off thousands of workers because the demand for electric vehicles is low. Trump will kill the Chinese attempt to monopolize the market and flood the US with cheap electric vehicle match boxes that are catching fire every hour. I don’t have time, so don’t make me go deep into this. For the first time in the history of Nigeria we have an intelligent president who is literally running the country without the privilege of $billion cushions the past presidents had and still manages to keep Nigeria head above water, just appreciate him or shut the hell up till you know what you are talking about.
ShoeGetSize:
So why did your president commit your country's future to COP28? Or was he too stupid to understand the implications of what he did?

When I told people on one thread last week that what is going on in the Middle East is just a play, that Antarctica is what will bring WW3, people said I was making things up. Just as I said that China and India would be the first to fight over Himalayan territory before any other country and it happened.

You are paving way to blame the usual boogeymen when dividends of coups hit. We already know that there will be insurgency or worse in those countries, not because of US and French paid anyone but because of what comes with dictatorship.

Which are

The 3 musketeers will fail to deliver what they promised.
Those countries will fail as in FAIL
The sanctions will bite harder.
The dictators will blame their problems on outsiders who are busy minding their own problems.
China is desperately trying to save its own economy right now and will strip these 3 countries of what is left. As for Russia, it’s just wants to be seen out there swinging, its main thing is to ensure the US is not planting nukes near its border through nato.

We haven’t heard a thing about how US broke an agreement between them, which is the kind of case The Hague wants to hear about the US, though not a party to the court, America would still not want its name in connection with defrauding a poor African country. So it means they just opened their doors to foreign countries without contracts, why won’t they be taken advantage of?

These 3 countries also knew what France did to Haiti, yet they took them in.

Igboslayer:
The war that's about to happen in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso is loading... I hope Nigeria is prepared sha. These 3 countries are about to witness serious rise in insurgency. Many Nigerians have been forcefully recruited for this fight funded by France and America.

Your ideas sound good on paper but far from reality.

There will never be “the right people” because tribalism won’t let us give the right person we find the chance to do fix it. The young people will even be worse as you can see how governance of the youths have messed things up from Canada to France and lately the 3 coup African dictators. Youths have no ideas of governance, the elders are still our best bet if we can give them chance.

Tbh, I couldn’t go through your entire post cause it looks like a fairytale.
Fashdeejay:
The right people would be people who actually care about the masses. We dont have the right people... We keep recycling the same old windbags who have no blueprint, who care more about amassing wealth than doing the jobs they were elected for. I dont think a tinubu or obi or atiku are the right people to govern .... They are all birds of a feather from different corners of the country. I do agree with you that the system is bad... But remember who created the system.... The people who are in power made the system to benefit their selfish interests where the rich get richer and the poor have to beg for scraps..
They are trying to implement american standards in nigeria .... Instead of finding what works... Like trying to beg a round hole with a square peg.
You come off as some one with a passion for seeing things done, the young ones who have been down the rabbit hole and know that the last thing Nigeria needs is a politician.
Some years ago, our ethnicity never came into question we were okay with calling other tribes our brothers... Now politics in both religion and government and even everyday living has made it hard to accept other people who dont speak like us. We are our own problem, the government knows that and that's why they keep fueling the embers of discord amongst the people.... Because they know if we stand with one voice irrespective of tribe or religion, we will prevail as a nation amd that's not beneficial for them so they try to avoid it as much as possible.
Imagine having a president who is familiar with the times we are in? And not someone who does not understand the first thing about the plight of the masses.
We dont need an america or UK to do better, remember they are part of the problem we have .... Don't believe The US or UK or france or even russia or china will help nigeria to become like them... They always want us under their thumb amd control... Do you think they want a black nation to be as powerful as them? Hell no!! But with the right orientation, we can be the african giant.
Even texas is looking for a way out of the american alliance .. Understand that all they try to do is manipulate countries so they can get their natural resources for next to nothing, so they create sponsored wars. Iraq is an example, look at libya.... Libya was self sufficient before america said they had nuclear weapons .... Just like iraq and till this day, nothing like that... All because Saddam hussein of iraq and Gaddafi refused to allow them to have a say in how they rule.

We have long passed that level of “if we have right people” we have the right people now but the system won’t let things work right.

Only fools do things same way over and over again and expect different results.

It’s time to go back to what worked in the past.
Fashdeejay:
You must be a child and you cant fathom the concept of modern day slavery... The western countries are the ones who actually sponsor terrorism in 3rd world countries. The way you responded to my first statement shows you watch alot of american movies and you obviously have a poorly developed brain. Read more about western espionage.... Incase you dont know most of the terror groups were funded by western countries to distabilize 3rd world countries for their own gains. Libya is a classic example... Did you know osama also worked for the american government before being disavowed?

Like someone said earlier, if we have the right people in the right places we would tackle our own internal problems easily.
Also, learn to criticize constructively and let your arguments be devoid of unnecessary emotions. You speak of morals yet you have none.... Nigeria is a country that is consciously being distabilized by the west because we have the tendency to be one of the world powers.... But we have more resources that can be plundered and what better way to distabilize than sponsor terrorism??
PoliticsRe: Why We Must Allow US Military Base In Yorubaland by ycat(op): 5:11pm On May 10, 2024
You were not Batist for but you are definitely for one of the other two. It was going to be one on the three and your choice was clear though you are too cowardly to admit publicly.

Tinubu give a hoot about Yoruba, you are just too blind and brainwashed by your brain handlers to know. Tinubu has no master, only the intelligent can see by the body language of the north and actions. I can tell you that Fulani are not smiling or having fun right now as you want us to believe, they know they are not in charge.

What should Tinubu have done over the 3 obas? I couldn’t say much about it because it’s a shame on Yoruba to have that happen on our soil. I remember thinking they deserved it because if they had protected Yorubaland in their own little areas, things like that would not have happened to them.

You have no evidence that the people responsible are Fulani, you have just been programmed to always shout Fulani, If you want to mention the names of the tribes killing Yoruba in Nigeria, Fulani is not the No.1.

You enemies of Yorubaland have been trying to pit Yoruba against Fulani for years but have failed, even if Fulani don’t respect Yoruba as a tribe because of the way we cheapen ourselves, they respect Tinubu and identify one of a kind that he is, they really have no choice.

All president Tinubu’s moves since he’s been in Asorock is that of the top of the pyramid boss kind, since you are unintelligent, they all have passed over your head.

T9ksy:
Am neither a Yorobidient or Yoratikulate and definitely not a Batist. See how quickly you tagged me, a yorubidient simply "cause I don't support your " emilokan".

Tinubu don't give a d.a m.n about yorubas, and is willing & able to sell us to his fulani masters just to achieve his political ambition. This was why I warned you ilk ( during the last election) that a tinubu presidency will not stop his kingmakers' footsoldiers from killing us in our beds in our ancestral homes. Have I not been vindicated ?

In February 2024, 3 traditional Kings in Yorubaland were slaughtered by fulani bandits in the space of one week. Not a pim from your yoruba president. He dared not upset his fulani masters who gifted him with the keys to A.r.s.e.h.x.x.x Rock.

How many yorubas have been killed in their homes by herdsmen in 2024? All our politicians are slaves to the fulanis. They cannot protect us from herdsmen yet they are supposed to be the CSO of their respective state.

FoodRe: What Is The Nutritional Difference Between Butter And Margarine? by ycat: 4:38pm On May 10, 2024
This the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in a long time.

It’s common sense, there’s no way a process food is better than an all natural one. Butter is healthier in moderation, margarine is poison.
olatuneji:
The nutritional differences between butter and margarine include :
- Calories: Both items have the same amount of calories, 717kcal per 100g of the food eaten.
- Carbohydrates: Both foods are very low in carbohydrates.
- Protein: Both foods are low in protein - 0.85g per 100g for butter vs. 0.16g per 100g for margarine.
- Fats: Butter is trans-fat-free. Margarine contains trans fats.
- Minerals: The mineral content of butter is a little higher than that of margarine, although it is still low.
- Vitamins: Margarine has a higher vitamin score compared to butter.
FoodRe: What Is The Nutritional Difference Between Butter And Margarine? by ycat: 4:32pm On May 10, 2024
Butter is natural from cow milk and it’s good for cooking or spreading on toast. You can make it yourself at home.

Margarine is whipped oil with all kind of dangerous chemicals, it’s actually an ingredient from being plastic.

Y’all just love being slaves in Nigeria.
It’s going to happen if the US wants it and president Tinubu see reasons for it as I’m praying according to what I’m hearing. Yorobidients or Yoratikulate like you won’t have a say in it, the worst you can do is take arms and fight on the side of the enemy against Yoruba as y’all previously do in all things. You were against Tinubu and called him all sort of names but he’s president today by God’s grace. He was put there for such a time as this, Yorubaland must be free and Edumare will see to it.
T9ksy:
May Olodumare bless you a thousand times.

Since the news broke that the U.S (& France) wants to establish military base in Nigeria, I have just been shaking my head at various opinions/comments emanating from Nigerians on the subject. Your comment here sure hit the nail on the head!

For me, I wonder why the Americans and the French have to leave Niger republic (almost similar to how they left Vietnam & Kabul), but most important of all is, what is the security situation in Niger at their (US & French troops) exit especially when one consider the fact , the number of decades these guys spent in the country and similarly ecowas countries they had their base?

Hell NO, we don't need their military base in Yorubaland or Nigeria .

Sometimes too there may not be anything between two people but because they are close, people think there was something between them. There was a guy some of my family members will swear that I had a romantic relationship with but it didn’t happen. The guy was the best looking guy around and was rich, we hung out many times, he took me to his friends, his house and spent money on me but he never hit on me. I was dying to give him some and lock him down but he never asked me and I never saw him with another girl, so I was confused till I left Nigeria.

Why not? If a Yoruba man bombs twin towers killing thousands of people and the government refuses to hand him over while planning more especially when he was once theirs.

No they don’t want the US out, more countries want them in.

One subsidy was bad enough, it won’t work.

Those countries are loving it and that’s why they are still there even when Americans are calling for them to com back home.

US imperialist anytime over the what we have in Nigeria now.

What we need is freedom and we need the security of the US to make sure there’s no violence.
nairalanda1:
DO tell

SO, if a Yoruba man bombs a building in the USA....it would be ok for the US to invade Yoruba land....

Right.

Many of them want them out. Even the ROK...which relies on US presecence to keep the dprk at bay.

We had to cut subsidy because our refusal to do so in 1993 led to us accumulating debt....which led to the current situation where the government had no choice. Even now, they still pay some subsidy..

The Germans, Koreans and Italians are not loving it...especially when US soliders act like vagabonds...

PLus the cold war is over.

No, we need no imperalist master...US or Russia.

Well, you can lead the movement of yoruba out of Nigeria..I ain;t stopping you. A seccesionist movement in any country is a sign the democracy of the country is mature enough. We should not suppress such movements here..provided they don't back violent things.

You order what you need from around the world, security is even more important than all those material things. Didn’t you see Poland begging for US military base? You are either incoherent or just trolling.

Do you know the story of Afghanistan at all? Let me tell you if you don’t know, it was invaded as a terrorist country after 911.

Go and check the countries I listed with US military bases, that is what Yoruba will get.

All those pie in the sky wishful thinking can’t happen in Nigeria, we already know what cutting subsidy did.

We know how the US is after its own interest in Korea, Italy, Germany and others and we love it so far.

We need the US help to get out Nigeria.

N.b You are just afraid of Yoruba leaving Nigeria.

nairalanda1:
As it was for Afghanistan's problems.... wink

So tinubu and Nigerians have to do things like

1.Force the modernisation of cattle farming in Nigeria, by ending roaming around with cows. It can't and no longer works.

2.Get NIgeria to become industrial and to export industrial goods and services.

3.Cut subsides on power, so that it can make a profit to improve generation, distribution and transmission, and power the industrial sector

4.Less idle hands for the devil's workshop.

US base? US is coming for their interests...not for your own. US Base in niger did not stop boko attacking nigerien villages and towns.
PoliticsRe: Why We Must Allow US Military Base In Yorubaland by ycat(op): 9:13pm On May 09, 2024
The US is the only solution to Yoruba’s problem. Every region has its own kind of insecurity it faces, the problem we face is not of our own doing. Bokoharam, herdsmen and bandits are from the north. Kidnappers, unknown gunmen and Ipob are from the east. Yoruba haven’t created any terrorist organization, what others have are self-inflicted problems, so all of them are foreign attacks on us and that’s why we need foreign security.
nairalanda1:

Nigerians have spoken nothing. And this isn’t about Nigeria, it’s about Yorubaland and the only person who could make that decision is president Tinubu. I hope he loves his children and Yorubaland enough to make the tough decision. Why not? Yoruba can also have a military base in the US when we get to that level and the US needs our military might.
