O se jare omo iya! These people still think we are playing with them. Optional09: |
You can learn Yoruba or go to other schools. There are 35 other states with schools and even in Lagos, there are federal schools you can attend. And coming from a northerner whose people speak Hausa even in federal offices, you are too bold for a malu. How many people have you killed today? O ga oo, even Malu wants to talk. FriendNG: |
Is anyone sabotaging Ambode? I won't put anything evil past certain people. |
How many times are you going to show this same picture? It seems you are trying to help your dumped and friendzoned (abi na cook or chef) sister out to make it look like there was more to the hat-wearing-high-fiving- microphoned-one hit drama. |
Ok oo! Let's label them Asantes or Nzema then! It's not your fault at all, Oponu agbalagba, when you rule over massive mumu, you will call black white. They are fulani terrorists, or you can call them the nomadic bokoharam |

You this creepy goblin think you can insult me and then ask the mod to ban me from education section? Not so fast dor, I don't play around here. I'll hunt you down wherever I can find you okugbe radarada! Save your ramblings of insanity and educate yourself. We can do anything we want in our enclave, from Lagos to kogi to Ondo, just stop forcing yourselves on us. Obey the law or get the hell out of my region. Lagos built Nigeria. Before oil was discovered, the colonialists said "Yoruba region the richest, where the money is," And even now, my region is still the richest feeding you parasites, or how much is ibo region contributing to the federation? 1.5% as against my whopping 49%. Stay in your nation and you won't have to deal with Yoruba. We live in our nation, we are not refugees. Again, we are not one and will never be, so kill yourself to escape your miserable existence. This is the topic below cation / Re: These Schools Won’t Give You Admission If You Don’t Have Credit In Yoruba by hammer6U: 10:04am My original post ycat: Who told you Nigeria is one? Other states like Anambra and two other ibo states did it first, Akwa ibom also has the same. And who is protecting Nigeria from dividing? Keep deceiving yourself, Nigeria has never and can never be one or work together. Your post BLOCK HEAD! DAFT! GO TO OYO, OGUN, ONDO, OSUN, EKITI AND INSTITUTE YORUBA. I will vote for him and help with the campaign, fundraising and all! I thought Buhari won't have a strong opponent, I was wrong! |
If we are going to be in control of our resources and region/country, this is the time. Trump is a gift to us, he cares about other people's freedom and will send special envoy to Nigeria just as Clinton did for N. Ireland. Some groups are already in talks with him. Let all our religious leaders put pressure on their American counterparts to lend their voices to liberate Yorubaland for us and the future generations |
And you sound like a slave, olosi! I know you won't mind using your children's glory in addition to yours, since your own parents have used you own destiny. Who are the Lagosians? Omo ale, amukunmeko! Didn't you see the part I said Yoruba should pay less and others pay more? We are talking about how to preserve Yorubaland from degradation and you are here talking nonsense, or don't you know that high taxes will discourage a lot of low quality non Yoruba and drive them out of Lagos, and won't affect Yoruba since we will be paying just about 10% of what others are pay? How I hate dumb people! oluwaahmed: |
O se! The law didn't even go far enough. It should have been less for Yoruba and more for others. Healthcare taxes needs to come too for those who don't have health insurance but put strain on general hospitals. We are getting there anyway. To those who have problem with this law, there are 35 other states you can move to in Nigeria. Lagos is overpopulated and expensive to run. There is no free lunch, if you must leave in the first city and state, you will have to pay for it. Everyone wants to live in Lagos because it has something you can't find in other regions. seunmsg: |
Not in this generation of shrewd Yoruba like me. We have tailored events lined up for especially you ibos, so the only place you will dominate SW is in your dreams. Odingo1: |
Up Ambode! |
Eat chicken and forget your future. |
You are welcome! casualobserver1: |
And what's your problem with who we decide to defend? We haven't done as much as you did with Jonathan, so go and die! izombie: |
I didn't even list all. We have Ekuru, what about all the soups I grew up in Ijebu ode but didn't see Apon soup more than once, but when I visited Kano every Yoruba restaurant I went had it on their menu. Our food is better than any food out there. Thanks anyway. sokera: |
I know. I've seen them call us Amala, when I didn't even eat it growing up. My g-granny was the the only one eating it back then, the woman hated rice and eba, just Amala and Sunday pounded yam despite being full Ijebu. But now Amala (plantain type) is becoming something I have to eat at least once a week. sokera: |
I know Kwara has ground rice and corn mixed and Gbegiri but don't know of Kogi. casualobserver1: |
Ok, thanks. Soknown: |
No sophisticated culture was included, only the very primitive cultures were featured, even Yoruba Agbada and Aso oke weren't there, the "Agbada" featured looks more like Boubou. kwessiStewie2: |
What about the one that spreads like pumpkin or is it melon leaves? My g-granny used to stir-fried it for me right out of her garden back then when I was little with just oil, pepper dried fish and salt, but still the most delicious veges ever. Soknown: |
They are actually pan African now, but that doesn't make them not to have origin. Only Yoruba call Beans Ewa in Africa. Jollof rice is Senegalese and Egusi, Moin Moin, Akara, Eba are all Yoruba's first before it became other's. IkeBuya: |
Again, the name is Yoruba and the style is Togo. Awoofawo: |
Egusi is Yoruba's first before others burrowed it, that's why we have more than 7 ways to add Egusi to our food, not just in soup like the rest of you. martineverest: |
The name is Yoruba but the style is Togo. Awoofawo: |
Bolo, are you saying Ondo and Ekiti are no longer Yoruba? No other people in the world eat pounded yam like these two Yoruba groups. They eat it everyday, sometimes more than once daily. Fatherofdragons: |
Lazy Op, come and finish what you started oo! Every Yoruba subgroup has its own delicacies, so let me see if I can help out. Ekuru, Iyan(pounded yam)and efo elegusi belong to Ondo and Ekiti Eba, plain Egusi soup, Gari Soaking, Fufu, Eberipo elewe and Ikokore are Ijebu's. Egbo is food I grew up thinking is Ijebu's but now I can see it's eaten a lot in Ibadan too. Godo/Eberipo(cocoyam) and obe didin for Remo Lafu (white amala) Ewedu All Star & Eko, Ofada and Ayamase for Egba Amala isu, Ewedu and Gbegiri for Oyo Sokoyoto, Ila All Star, Eko and Eba for Awori. Ebe/Asaro, Moin Moin, Adalu, Egbo, Ewa-Agoyin. Apon, Gizdodo are all Yoruba. Kwara and Kogi have Agbado and Rice meal, Oka is another word for Agbado but I don't think that's what it's called. And of course Yoruba put ‘J’ in W-ollof rice. Then comes the street food Agbon nuggets Guguru & Epa Asun Boli Kokoro Langbe(boiled corn) Dodo Puff puff Bunz Shin-Shin Akara Oole/Moin-moin Igbekere Dodo ikire Dundu Ojojo Robo(spicy Egusi snack) Agbado yiyan Ekuru Adun Jogi(roasted moin-moin) Yilata squad(Igbin,Beef, Ponmo & Eja) There are more but I can't remember their names, like fried batter made from fresh corn and sugar. I think Yoruba have the most street food. Argh! I'm hungry now! |
Even before then. unohbethel: |
What if Tinubu himself is working to make sure Buhari is not reelected? What if he's trying to get back at Buhari over being "trashed" and that can only be done from within after taking down some other people who think they know too much? At this point, only Tinubu knows who he's working for, we can only speculate. unohbethel: |

Not really a good idea. Yoruba language is now prerequisite for admission into Lagos State owned tertiary institution. So someone not from Yoruba State is not expected to take Yoruba language in waec. So in the case he chooses LASU or any other State higher institution of learning, that make him/her automatically disqualified.
