Many thanks to you all.. I do appreciate the prayers and we'll wishes..

Good news is that there is hope for the second kidney and he will be out of the hospital this weekend. There is power in prayer not downplaying the efforts of the medical team also.

The exam went well, finished today. One of the best exams I have written...

Thanks to you all for the support and all.

I will go through the thread later today to see if there is any question yet to be addressed.

Great news Sir! To God be the glory.

Dear All, please I have another question. My older sister has a Bachelors degree from University of Ilorin, however, she got into Ilorin with IJMB which means she spent 3 years in school and she wants to nominate a Skill 1 level occupation which requires an AQF Bachelors Degree. Please has anyone had a similar case and got a Bachelors equivalent for qualification? Thank you

That will be for geotechnical engineers or engineering geologists.

No, I am not interested in mining. My interests and experience are in geochemistry and geothermal research. The Liberal government, especially Malcolm leading the pack, is pro fossil fuel and anti renewables.

I already hung my boot for geology and now pursuing my passion. Geology was for the money.. wink cheesy

Good one.
I've seen only a few similar cases which were mainly construction managers with 55points and 8+yrs experience.
Yours is unique; 2.8yrs.

There's no need to worry. 15days waiting for approval is not unusual. You'd receive approval in due course.
Best wishes.

A big amen to that. Thank you Sir!

At one point or the other, you have all talked about/considered/opted for NSW 190.

Hi Alphadoor, I think Catchdwimd4rmkd has said it all but I just want to share mine with you.

Occupation is Welfare centre Manager with 55 points and 2.8 relevant years of experience. I received invite in 5 working days, 7 days (Saturday and Sunday inclusive) however, it's 15 days already and I am still waiting for approval. So I guess different occupations have different timelines. I hope this helps.

@ Yeesha. By God's grace grant is sure. Please are you doing 189 or 190 and was it Vetessas or the other acces sing body you used. I wonder which is better. I have a degree in international development do you think it can fly with less than 5 years experience? Was your experience up to 5 years or less and please in what industry is your experience from govt, ngo or private?

Hi Amanda0, 190 to NSW, Yes it was Vetasssess. It depends on you. Although, I think Vetasssess is a more difficult body. My experience was 5 years with an NGO. Studied Psychology from UI which is 'highly relevant' to the occupation. My experience was deducted to 2.8 years. Your degree would depend on courses taken in the course of your study. I hope these help.

Kingbukaz:
was the work experience assessed? Do you think a public administration bsc can nominate this?

Hmmm, I honestly cannot tell....It will depend on the courses you took in the University. Maybe you can tell me some courses you took. I took some Sociology courses as electives at the University which is closely related to the occupation.

You only need to submit documents to prove the points you are claiming. Since you are not claiming points for work experience, you dont need those documents. But i think you need to submit your CV. Check their website for better info.

I'll do that. Thank you.

Dear All,
VETASSESS requirements (for managerial positions) is that the Organogram of the organization be sent along with the documents.
Does it have to be on the company's letter head of ordinary piece of paper ?

Alongside other documents and yes, the organogram should be in the company's letter head.

Subclass 190 will give you a total of 60 points. Thats 55+5. The added 5 points are the state nomination points which can only be truly claimed after being nominated by the selected state.

Dear e-family,

For those who've successfully been through VETASSESS, did you also (or is it neccessary to) upload primary and secondary school certificates? As I thought I only needed tertiary transcripts and work-related documents but the portal is asking for info on primary and secondary schooling. Pardon me if this is a no-brainer but I need to be sure. Thanks all.

No,you do not need your primary and secondary school certificates. You only need to fill in the details where asked. I hope this helps.
