franchasofficia: So you are one of those zombified Batstards that actually believed that fake conjoined voice record was real even after the clergyman debunked it?
Na wa oh, most of you are naturally slow not to know that it was fake.
Papa Oyedepo is one of the clergymen I hold in high esteem in Nigeria. The man has tried in directing Nigerians on how to hold their leaders accountable but seems Nigerians and Nigeria are both irredeemable which he must have realized.
Besides that, some of Papa's close sons and daughters I know personally are working with Tinubu and common sense dictates that he takes some rest while observing and counseling those his sons and daughters working with Tinubu to do what is right in the eyes of God even though they might not heed.
Lastly, Papa Oyedepo and Daddy Adeboye are like son and father, and Oyedepo indirectly endorsed Tinubu because of Tinubu's wife, Remi who happens to be a Deaconess in RCCG, and I know Adeboye endorsed Tinubu thinking Remi his wife would play huge role in directing his policies to the right path. The both clergies are speechless and have decided to be silent as a sign of disbelief that these ones they thought would perform are also failing. They are still in shock, and you cannot also take away the tribal sentiment which is normal for most black Africans I won't insult you back because I know your kind talking carelessly on social media withiout wisdom or comprehensive skill. Read my post again, I didn't say the audio is true or false, I was only referring to the incident. Secondly, not him or Peter Obi has ever denied or sue anyone about it, and that gives us impression that something like could actually happened between them. Cultivate an habit of being civil in public, not everyone on Nairaland is your mate. And lastly, don't ever quote me again. |

chatinent: I remember a certain time a married woman wanted to visit me and she suggested a hotel. Now the thing is that she was as free as a bird and had no ulterior motives or intentions. In fact, she wanted somewhere confidential so that many eyes wouldn't see her discussing with a male figure since she felt that some people around there might know her husband.
But she forgot the main thing...a hotel? I reminded her that while she was trying to save her marriage, she was also on the verge of losing it because if she is caught in a hotel with a man, she'll run out of explanations even though she's innocent. Like I mean no excuses can defeat the big question of "what is you and a man doing in a hotel?"
E come bi like her brain no really go that side.
But she corrected her mistake immediately and sincerely apologized after I reminded her. And trust me, she has no ulterior motives. I didn't either. She's a very sincere and upright person so I was sure she's not what you think.
Update: All y'all saying she had ulterior motives or that I was naive are wrong. I strongly stand with what I said. This is someone I've done business gigs with over the years and never was the relationship sexual. And that's because boundaries were built. It was the over trust that made her forget what ought not be heard or done.
I recline to my seat as I keep reading all y'all negative thoughts you feel must happen to a man and a woman meeting forgetting that everyone cannot be you. Abeg go and sit down, you self reason like a kid. A full grown woman want something confidential with you and suggested you meet at hotel, and you are still here displaying your lack of wisdom? You remind her indeed. If I be moderator, I for Don ban you for 2 years. |

FreeStuffsNG: Smh. You are not beholden to a girl who is your friend, especially platonic, what he is implying made no distinction between altar- bound relationships and even platonic relationships and if you are wise and starts with the end in mind, you will know relationships that will likely made a wife out of your special relationship with a girl. To that special girl, you will at some point in time be her 'parent' likewise she to you.
BTW, you don't need to understand for now. Serious relationships take commitments and sacrifice and those two are the essential ingredients in parenting so anyone telling you that you will not make exceptions for that special one is not being realistic. Love , when you really fall in love, will make you trusting and vulnerable. If you're not then you are not in love. Maybe you are suggesting that he tells his son to never fall in love with a girl niyen. There is nothing like love, it all about personal interest and choice. However, there is great sense in your write up. Except we are deceiving ourselves, only a stupid desperate lady will marry someone who she can not rely on, and the best way to know this by the women during courtship is by seeing you showing little commitment like a married person does. |

All these "records" mean zilch.
At age 20, it's doubtful she can make any concrete contributions to the parliament.
25 years old, few years after first degree, maybe, but still not advisable.
30 - 40 years old is what i believe is the appropriate age for a youthful representative... tertiary education completed + some life experiences + young age (fresh perspectives)
PS : I can see my post is hard for some to understand. I'm still in support for youth but with some conditions.
If you still don't understand, use Google Translate into your local language OR read about Valentine Strasser, a 21 year old who became Head of State in Sierra Leone.
NOTE : my posts require a minimum level of intelligence. Please don't feel bad if you don't understand them, just accept the limitations of your IQ Just ignore them, your post is meant for intelligent people and not those kids that criticise everything irrationally. What kind of experience does a 20 years old girl who ought to be taking advise from her parents has to contribute to issue affecting a whole country. |

Now I know why people don't talk about LUNO as exchange platform.
I was looking for where to quickly buy bitcoin with naira yesterday when market was seriously down, na so I sey make I try Luno o.
Firstly, this unfortunate platform removed almost 3k out of 100k deposited to my wallet. They removed another 5k when I bought Bitcoin and when I was about to transfer it, I was told to wait for a hopping 24 hours.
24 hours reach when I received another shock, they only supporting Bitcoin chain on transfer network. I said OK, let me just manage it, but instead received another short of network charges, which is more than more than amount I wanted to send.
I use vex want to withdraw my naira only to face another charges of about 2k. In total, I lost 10k out of 100k to this useless platform. I have deleted their app, and I will never use them again forever.
My question is that, who the hell is using that kind of exchange or platform in Nigeria?
Abeg if you know a legit platform to buy bitcoin, please message me through Nairaland PM option or quote me with your mail. |

Whoever wants a separate bedroom in marriage is selfish and simply not ready for marriage. Hmmmm, are you married? A couple can stay in the same room before the arrival of children, but the moment those little damsels comes, they should have a separate room because the children under 4 years old tend to sleep in the same bed with their mums. |

tunjijones: Any party you go... Your chances are very low to win the presidency in 2027. He go hard.
The only combination that I am sure can grab a win from Tinubu and APC in 2027 is Atiku and obi. The 2019 combination. Atiku as the president and obi as the vice. Which I don't see ever happening.
Anything other dan this is a win for Tinubu. Even if Atiku does not contest in 2027, and it's just Tinubu and Obi alone, Tinubu will still win him.
Another combination is obi and kwankwanso. If obi can make this work, then he might have a chance. I hate to say this but no merger is likely to work against this incumbent in 2027. North is the major determinant here, it is 100% certain they won't vote for another Southerner who may want to spend 8 years that will subsequently keep them off power they cherish so much for good 12 years. If Atiku is pair with Obi as you suggested, alot of educated Obidients would see this as insult and stain on their integrity and won't support the ticket, they would rather vote for Tinubu( especially if he made some necessary correction soon) or stay at home on election day. Yorubas, South South and Middle belt won't vote Atiku as president. |

Must you comment on everything and anything He is totally right on this, read again, Obi didn't say CBN should not revoke heritage bank licence, he was only telling the CBN and federal government to ensure all customers of the bank are paid immediately withiout delay. See, whenever cbn revoke a bank licence, it transfer thr control to NDIC, and you know how they normally do. Some people at the top will just sit on their money and delay payment for years. Some won't even see their money forever. We have seen such cases many times before. |
Politics › Re: Create More States To Devolve Power Further? Not Regionalism??? by yemmit90: 11:00pm On Jun 02, 2024 |
KnowAll: There was little or no development in any town outside Ibadan in those days. Look at my state Ondo state, when Miniko became Governor, he changed Ondo town to Ondo City by dualising the main roads entrying the city, notice this is not the capital. Because of that singular action real estate, businesses and hotels have open up in all those areas where the road was built.
Borrowing from Mimiko’s example, the next Government did the something in Owo town now Owo City, and I am sure the current Governor would do his own bit in Okutipupa in Ondo south. Basically those developments have pushed the state forward tremendously.
But if we are in still enmeshed in that hargemony called western state, I doubt if the level of development we experience today can be matched by one super emperor sitting in Ibadan. Ok, since you don't understand the meaning of progression and continue to blindly comparing two different societies, I can't help but to stop arguing with you. |
Politics › Re: Create More States To Devolve Power Further? Not Regionalism??? by yemmit90: 9:14pm On Jun 02, 2024 |
KnowAll: You would now have a regional emperor instead of state emperor. How many housing estates did Awolowo built in Iwo, Ondo, oyo, Ijebu-ode, ede,Ilesha. Yet he took ondo’s cocoa money to build a skyscraper called cocoa house in Ibadan. States can work together to build inter state roads. Oyo and Oshun state are doing it at the moment. The road from Ibadan to Iwo is handled up to d Oyo state border by oyo state whilst Oshun state has taken it over from the border of oyo state to osogbo. I don't think you understand my post at all, because you are still repeating the same fault I pointed out in your previous posts. I was surprise as bold as you are to start this kind topic, you don't put into consideration an element of progression. When new state are created, where do the new administration develop first? The same logic should be apply to short life regionalism practice in the first Republic. Let me analyse this in a lay man understanding. Nigeria was more or less an agrarian state those period, the main occupation of majority is farming, which made rural areas their preferred choices to live. We had very few educated people doing white kola jobs back them compare to now. Nigeria was still a newly independent state, where premiers were trying to develop cities starting from regional executive base. You don't expect them to start developing every town or village at the same time. Aside that, majority were illiterates, who are mostly farmers or low level artisans. Development is process, if former western region could develop Ibadan within that short period, Imagine how many cities would've been developed to high end standard today. |
Politics › Re: Create More States To Devolve Power Further? Not Regionalism??? by yemmit90: 6:10pm On Jun 02, 2024 |
KnowAll: We cannot go back to regionalism because as we had in the 60’s the region gets d money in which case western region. When we had western region only Ibadan was developed but today, oshogbo, Akure, Abeokuta, Ado Rkiti and not limited to state capitals, cities like Ondo, owo, life, Kanu ode, Ogbomosho, oyo and iseyin are well developed. Lolz, why are you comparing the period of early civilization to this jet age. We were still very much agrarian society then. Our major occupation is farming, which made alot of people to prefer living in villages. Society is dynamic and not static, development is a gradual process, you don't expect old western region to suddenly convert every small towns and villages into modern city within a short period of its existence. If the same system were still in progression today, I can bet it we would have had more great modern cites than what we have now. When talking about politics or system of government, you don't limit your assessment or make a conclusion on a particular situation, you analyse and review its potential and possible progression if given time. |
Politics › Re: Create More States To Devolve Power Further? Not Regionalism??? by yemmit90: 5:56pm On Jun 02, 2024 |
KnowAll: They cannot. 774 that is too much. Having 50 states would make sense. Creating more states in a presidential system of government is a recipe to waste of resources. Have you ever consider the cost of running administration of a state, which amount to billions of naira every months? State is a complex arrangment with alot of idle institutions under it that gulps alot of resources. State offer no value to its masses than payment of salary and over inflated projects and egos by governors. Now let talk about Regionalism, It offer people with same ideology, value, culture and tradition and history to determine what work best for them. Regional government tend to have more focus because it is base on identity and struggle to be better than other nations. Patriotism level is usually high under Regionalism than state. More qualify people are usually consider to lead than in a state system. Base on the above, it is much more better to eradicate states for Regionalism OR just Federal government and 774 local governments. |

I once sat with my grandma who lived in the 30's, some of my uncle's who were in their primes in the 70's on discussions about Nigeria. In summary Nigeria has never been better. You are 100% right but back in those days, people eat more from mother earth. Their wants were limited and not always about foods, which they can easily grow themselves. Petrol or dollar price had little or no effect on their living because majority don't have business with the two items or it position in economy. |

Just watch out You are very right, this government don't seem like they have a single solution to this problem, I fear more for our future than the present state. By now, we should be seeing government massive investments in Agriculture and outgrowers schemes, but they are only busy sending invisible 50k grants. If this year looks like this withiout government intervention in mechanised farming and provide security for farmers in their farms, how do we expect next year to be? Perhaps by then, a paint of garri would be sold for 10k. |

All six geopolitical zones will have minority groups if we are to go back to regionalism. Awories and eguns in Lagos, Eguns, Esans, etc, in Ondo will only become minority group in South west because they're already in South west geopolitical zone. Only an illiterate will say these tiny minorities will create their own region outside of the obvious partition they belong to. I will day it again, this should not be an issue to discuss at all. |

If Lagos stands alone in the event of a return back to regionalism, how then can Tinubu continue being the Lagos godfather and impose governors on the state! Rest guy, Lagos belong to Yorubas, and there is nothing like indigenous or whatever an handful set of people were calling themselves. SoNature: Tinubu should prepare a bill based on regional resource control and forward to the national assembly to pass. Let's see how they won't pass the bill.
Since 2017, Buhari set up a restructuring committee headed by El-Rufai that recommended that all regions should control their resources. Up till today, APC hasn't implemented their recommendations. Same mistake many of apostle of regionalism are making. As long as you are mentioning "resources control" in the content of regionalism, a section of country with majority stake holders will never agree to it. If you want quick and peaceful resolution into smooth transition to regionalism, you must by all means avoid issue of resources control. You can only achieve that after you must have secure and aligned your region with better foreign power and investors |

A good mining app don't allow advertisement on their app or allow just one with an option of cancel in 24hours minning period. A good miinig project don't ask you to pay them money, they only ask you to use part of your minnned coins for higher rate/grade or KYC.
