And before you come and start shouting 'Why can't government stop the smugglers...ask the Saudis, Venezuelans, Angolans, Iranians and especially Libya why they can't stop smuggling too? Are they run by Nigerian leaders?

I mean, I buy fuel at below N700 and then cross the border and sell that thing at N1400 or more. TELL ME, won't you be able to come home , bribe the customs men and women, and police, and civil defence, AND STILL MAKE A FAKKING PROFIT.


Yet at the end, most Nigerians say we should keep fuel below the landing cost because ;poverty. Yet these people won't do the same for their businesses because.....poverty.

If you want to end smuggling, etc, etc....STOP KEEPING SUBSIDY, AND FACE THE EFFING REALITY.

And if you think this makes me an APC supporter, you are either mad, or sick in the head.

What about deploying advance technology to combat oil thief and smuggling? What about punishing corrupt custom officials to serve a lesson to others? What about hiring a machineries services to monitor our borders?

That was the same excuses before they remove the subsidy, but look at the country today. To even think that this useless government removed fuel subsidy with absolutely no impact on economy says alot about the policy.

Keep supporting the useless government, the monster you keep petting today may swallow you tomorrow.

If I were in his shoes, I will take the same decision. He still have few years left at the peak of his career, so the possibility of coming back to Europe after a season or two is very high. Besides, joining a middle table/conference league team like Chelsea is not but a total waste of opportunity to earn income that could sustain him till rest of his life.

Aside being glorify by Nigeria or Africa base fans, nothing is special about playing in Europe when you can play for a team with best facility and pays elsewhere.

Too expensive, ripe ones of this size are now sold 5 for 1k in Ibadan. We are almost in plantain season, and the price is coming down from now till next year January.

Jonathan presided over the BEST economy that Nigeria has seen in DECADES. NO President has come close since then.

His current role as the ONLY respectable politician in Nigeria suits him better.

A second term as President would NOT be as glamorous as a lot of people think. The economic DISASTER that 12 years of APC have created cannot be fixed in 4 years.

Especially, since it's UNLIKELY that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala would come back.

APC led government is a disaster, yes but saying Jonathan preside over the best economy in decades is not but sign of acute ignorant.

Infact this current economic woe could easily be trace back to Jonathan era. He was fortunate enough to come to power during the oil production boom but mismanaged the opportunity. Brent light was over $100 per barrel, yet he could not diversity the economy or improve power sector. No major projects was recorded during his time, he even squandered what it left in foreign reserve despite the trillions of naira revenue accrue from oil.

Jonathan is not any better and should not be an alternative in the eyes of any rational being.

Tinubu popularity is dwindling on a daily basis in the north. Let nobody deceive. Never in the history of Nigeria have you seen Muslims disregarding their imams but it's all good. As little as i understand the dynamism of Nigeria politics, I will conveniently complete my 8 years as president, let alone political masterclass like Tinubu.

The first simple strategy I will use is to compell all southerners heavyweight politicians and leaders including traditional institutions to outrightly demand for completion of southern 8 years presidency. By this strategy, Northerners will never risk queuing behind another southerner who will probably spend another 8 years and keep them off power they cherish so much for 12 years. Since PDP is very weak, and the strong APC will only nominate Tinubu, they have no choice but to allow him complete his 4 years and get back the power.

But to be sincere, this government is nothing to write home about, we understood they met Buhari rots on ground but that was not enough reason to remove fuel subsidy and float the dollar simultaneously. This two policies did not only inflicting pain on us but also create room for exploitation of various kinds.

Black Africans, particularly Nigerian cultural value are mostly egoistic and domineering in nature, or better still, individualistic by nature. You can't give what you don't have, the quality of humans in this part of the world is basically centred around greed, personal aggradizment, and lack of patriotism. A typical African man don't care about his environment or others but only him and his household. He would rather take everything, so that others will keep begging him for crumbs. It is never his fault but the way he naturally understand nature, which is cumulative result of his culture or tradition value. My point is that, humans in those countries you listed above believes so much in selfless service to their societies, while ours believes so much in accumulating personal gains.

Tinubu have less than a year to reset alliance with entire south, yes less than a year.. Get down from the high horse, go to SE, meet with governors, people and even meeting Peter Obi.. Be genuine, meet their demands whether is releasing Nnamdi Kanu or stronger FG projects in the South East, clamp down on South Western ethnic champions and ronu nonsense.

Otherwise, the North who has sensed the chance will align with Ibos to finally destroy APC.

This approach and strategy is too petty to me, and can't be use to win election because Igbo and majority of us here don't like APC anymore, and no amount of alliance will change that for him.

He still need majority of votes in the North to win if he contest for second term. A simple strategy is to align with all political leaders and governors from the South to demand for completion of 8 years southern presidency and make a promise to key players in the North in 2031.
