North only care about power, and will obviously gifted Tinubu his second term to allow power to return to the core North. A smart politician in his shoes would've focus entirely in South and North Central. While doing that, align with some power brokers in the core North who can deliver 15% of votes to you in each state over there. Leave Labour party and return to PDP, or better still, form another party with Obidients movement.

My verdict, North will vote for Tinubu again, and if another Northerner happened to be his biggest rival, South will not also vote for the person. That will bring us back to the same scenario of 2023.

Musicians don't just call any drummer like Churches or Mosques do, they stick with a set and integrates them to form a team. In most cases, especially before this age, there was always no defined salary agreement among them, it is the leader or founder of the group that will decide the sharing formula or just give them whatever he want. It is 100% wrong for a Musicians to amazed such wealth, and his brand member of 32 years could boast of having a house or tangible savings to his name. I am sure if he had bought house or car for the man, it would've be the first thing he would mentioned.

Just don't spend it because if you does, they will put your account on deficit, every money enter their will be deducted until the money mistakenly transferred to your account is completed.

For instance, if the money transfer to your account is 100k, and you spend 50k before the person reported, they will deduct the remaining 50k and put your account, -50,000.

I am posting this on behalf of my cousin. She is in a marriage where her husband never wanted her to work from the beginning, but to stay at home to raise their children. The kids are now all grown, 4 of them with the last born about to enter university. First child is now working while two others are about finishing university. She feels she is now ready to pursue her dream of a career in Law, being a graduate in that discipline, though she has never worked in her life after her NYSC. Her husband thinks otherwise, that she is too old to pursue a career, and that she should rather just stay at home, and that soon enough, their older children would soon marry and start giving them grandkids. She is unhappy and feels cheated, saying her husband is selfish. He is doing well in his career, and a good provider for the family. But she feels empty and sabotaged by her husband's refusal to allow her work and earn for herself.

The issue is causing a strain in their home as both parties are adamant about their position.

What must she do?

Tell her to open a store, i am sure her husband won't oppose that. He just want a wife who will be available whenever he need her. A wife that men in Chambers won't be passing around to ease stress.

Alternatively, she can dare her husband and face the consequences, the choice is hers to make. She is not a kid.

My concern on the one part is that prices of goods and services will suffer unexplained inflation due to so much money in circulation.

On the other part, there's no assurance that the private sector will comply with the proposed minimum wages.

The implication is that the purchasing power of the underpaid masses in the private sector will be further diminished.

Anything above 50k would be a serious catastrophe to the economy. Where on earth do government expect private sectors that are struggling to stay afloat sees money to pay. What about millions of youths who are not salary earners.

African government are just too stupid and daft, it is not everything foreign you irrationally copied into your system. Minimum wage/salary system can only function in a well organised society with robust economy.

You don't have accurate unemployed working population data, you don't have mechanism to follow full implementation at all level, you don't have functioning price control agency, yet you want to increase minimum wage by more than 100%.

I can bet with anything that FG will never pay more than 50k, while 90% of states will still struggle to pay 40k.

The best thing to do in this current situation is to increase it by 50% and reduce working hours for workers, like 2 or 3 days a week is fine.

If I am in Government, I would rather use this fund to subsidise foods and sponsor local manufacturing of imported goods than increasing salary of workers who are not upto 10% of entire working population. It is a pure waste of time because traders, manufacturers, farmers, artisans, builders, etc will not fold their arms withiout increasing the price of goods and services.
