probably not original Titus
Lolz, we dont buy fake mackerel, , that one is between 900 - 1200. Infact, there was small size of original ones the woman was selling 800 each that day.

Next time, if a fish seller say 2500 each, just let her know you are not novice, that the size is 1200, she would immediately confess the new price, which must not exceed maximum of #1700.

I am the type that doesn't like regular fish aside from catfish. I eat chicken, turkey, and goat meat more, but yesterday I decided to change my regular taste and went to the market to buy this Titus fish. If I can remember vividly, it wasn't sold for more than #400 the last time I ate it, but guess the price is now. It was so sweet, though, and I am not sure if this lady scammed me or sold cheap.

Please drop the current price.

Update... This Fish was sold to me for 5k and the lady was doing like she did me a favour. cry cry

I think I have been scammed kiss cry
She scammed your big time, both fishes should not more than 3k. The ones my wife bought in my present last weekend evening from street hawker was bigger than this at 2800 for 2.

I understood your point quite well, and I'm telling you that EDUCATED PEOPLE don't need to plant in their back yard.

Just a modern mechanisation method of agriculture across just 20 states in Nigeria is enough to feed Nigerians. The lies that people should start planting at the back yard isn't comfomed with modern age.

It's not misinformation rather you're the ignorant one for thinking that way.

Yes! Educated people should focus on what they study in school which will help them to break even and expand more.

Agriculture alone can't drive the economy and any nation that her farmers are more than half of her population is poor.

And where did it lead us as a country today?

That they did, doesn't mean it's the best.

If more mechanised farming has been embraced then, we won't be where we are today.

It's evident you're ignorant of the subject matter.

It was even the Russian/Ukraine war that led many Ukrainian into farming which is just about 14% of their population.

Currently, USA number of farmers are reducing since 2000.

India has just about 8% of her population as farmers.

So, it's not until every dick and Harry embrace agriculture that food will be surplus.

You're advocating for substantial farming and everyone should farm. Why changing your mouth on what you type in black and white?

Yes! FG must be the one to fund agriculture either through the state government or loacl.

Let me shock you, I read an interview of Tinubu sometimes in 2008 shortly after he left office, he was talking about how Nigeria can be sufficient in food supply and provide jobs and he used POULTRY farming as example.

As in, if Nigeria wants to have surplus of eggs, FG should consider giving every Nigerians 1 eggs per day. He then goes further to ask, can you imagine how many number of poultry farm that will need to be set up in other to give each Nigerian 1 eggs per day?

Do you know how many people those poultry farms will employ?

Now, the reason I brought this up is because, he didn't talk about every educated people to start rearing fowls in other to be sufficient in eggs as individual farming can't create any job opportunity and surplus of food.

But mechanisation method of farming will provide sufficient food and a lot of job opportunities.

Think about the storage facility required, number of machineries, manpower needed e.t.c
You lacks comprehensive skill, that is the only problem I saw in your replies. It is quite òbvious you don't understand anything from the post.

Let me break it down in a lay man understanding for you. The way educated people think back then is completely different from the way we believes in education now. They see farming as culture or necessary channel to eat healthy, they do their jobs like us, they are professional like us, they are expert like us, they concentrate on their jobs like us, they works in offices, they have careers like us, just that they only embrace backyards farming as a culture and means of eating from mother earth, which eventually translated to less pressure on our food supply.

Go back to my very first post you quoted and read with understand mind again. I stated it clearly that we can no longer follow the same pattern, because the present educated people( even uneducated ones) abhorred farming or anything related to it. I therefore suggested that FG should try to empower each local governments for serious farm business that will ensure mass production, because FG can't achieve her aims and objectives by doing them directly.

In conclusion, it is not actually bad if you have few stands of pepper, tomatoes, orange, pawpaw and plantain, on unused land in your compound. These plants have their purpose to serve in your environment and your health, and I am 100% certain you will know the importance of this in your 60's.
CareerRe: Job Of 130k On The Mainland Or Job Of 330k On The Island (please Advise Me) by yemmit90: 4:10pm On Mar 04, 2024
LoveTalk:
Hello everyone.

Please, I need your advice as I am confused at the moment.

I am to choose between the job of 130k on the mainland or job of 330k on the island. Pls note that I started the 130k few months ago and I spend 600naira daily on transport (about 13k on transport for a month). It is on the mainland and not far from my area. No traffic or whatsoever. My colleagues are amazing people, and the workplace is super convenient. I didn't apply for the job, but the CEO gave it to me when I messaged him that I needed job, so he decided to help me by giving me the job. He is a good man who cares about people. I can say that he motivates me a lot.

I am to start the 330k soon, but it is on the island, and I am to spend about 4k on transportation (about 90k). I will still have the balance of 240k left on me after removing transportation.
I am confused because I don't know how to discuss it with the CEO who assisted me. I am thinking that he will feel bad, and our relationship will be affected. Sincerely, he is a good man, and he motivates me a lot, but the pay is small compared to the new offer I got.
Both jobs are secured and safe.

Please, Advise me.
Which one should I go for and why?
Thank you.
Mainland job, 130k - tf 13k = 117k

Island job , 330k - tf 90= 240k.

240 - 117 = 123k difference.

If I were you, I will removed 50k from my extra 123k, which is 600k pa and get a decent apartment at Island. Let assume you pay 250k pa at mainland, you can join it with 600k, making 850k to get decent apartment at Island. You still have 73k extra. 850k is about 2 and half month salary of your Island job. It is still better considering the ease of getting to work withiout necessary have to worry about traffic or eating out. You will have enough time to cook at home, instead of wasting money on substandard expensive foods at restaurants.

If you apply above strategy, your income will still stood at 203k net per month.

I don't know where you people get the idea of educated people MUST enter farm.

If majority of educated people enter farm, what will happen to other sectors of the economy?

The truth is, Nigeria as a country don't need millions of farmers rather millions of modernize farming method.

94% of Egypt is a desert which means Egypt only has about 6% arable land yet account for most production of soya beans and others products.
Is like you don't get the point, no one say educated people must embrace farming as business, the Idea is to have something planted on your free land at backyard. The idea that educated people must not do anything other than handling pens in offices is a total misinformed basis tenet of education. Those that farm at their backyards then were never illiterates, they just see backyard farming as culture and necessity to eat healthy vegetables and fruits.

If you were a little bit mature in 80's, and 90's, you won't be talking like this. People has backyard farms irrespective of their education level or where they work. I knew alot of professors who has farms at their backyard then. No one is ashame of doing that, go and ask mature people from 70's to year 2000, and be informed better. Many honorable state house of assembly members, local governments chairmen and lot of politicians too has backyard farms back then. Virtually all civil servants has backyard farms or remote ones if they don't own land.

I am not advocating for subsistence farming or suggested that everyone must have farm at their backyard, reason I said FG must fund agriculture at local governments level to achieve optimum results in my previous post.

Who are we to blame Sir?

I think Tinubu some days ago accepted the fact of being responsible for the country current economic challenges that LED to price increase on virtually every commodities in the market?

I think some peoples reasoning faculty is not functional again?

I left..!
Yes, his policy contributes immensely to current economic hardship, particularly price of major items and foods, but we can't exonerate other arms of government including masses.

Let me tel you this, Nigeria is not blessed with good or visionary leaders since military took over power in 1966, the reason we all think this time is different is because of modern means of communication or technology, education and over depending of masses on city lifestyle.

For instance, price of petrol and dollar has always been on increase from time to time, infact there were time during IBB era that you won't even see petrol to buy for weeks or month. The major difference between then and now is that, very few people depends on patrol and majority of households grew most of their foods at backyard farms ( even in our major cities). There was no much insecurity or herdsmen menace then, Fulani you see with cows normally carries sticks and not AK-47. Agricultural was never a full responsible of federal government then but state and local governments. Farmers has unions that were always assisted by local government in providing tractors and seeds to improve productions. Foods were in abundance and cheap because many hardly buy or buy on regular basis.

Though we can't experience the same pattern now because alot are educated and detest farming so much. State and local governments authorities should start encourage big farming by providing necessary equipment, security and seeds to intending farmers. This is the only way we can solve problem of food crises in Nigeria. Federal government is too far to achieve the same objective, because the provision will always be hijacked before reaching the real farmers. Local governments should be empowered by FG to start serious farming business in their jurisdiction .

this issue is irrelevant to animals.... female lion only mate with the alpha lion, they dont mate with everyone/anyone like nympho women do. women dont go in heat when they are ovulating (like animals).

being a nympho/satyriasis, has absolutely nothing to do with youthful exuberance as these people have this mental disorder all their lives. there is huge difference with someone who wants to have various GFs and someone so sikc they think of sex all day long and are willing to do anything for sex (even if they just had sex 5mins ago)
let me give you my own experience: i personally know nymphos who would allow any man to fukc them for no damn reason. you can be ugly/fat/disgusting and you can fukc her, no questions asked. there would be men lying up in a queue just to take their share of the toto (scott free). many of these women gladly go into prostitution to quench their disorder. i know men that are sikc in their head that they are willing to jeopardize EVERYTHING for sex. example having sex with a dirty crackhead with no condoms and infecting his wife with the deadly disease he caught from the crackhead.

generally, people suffering from Nymphomania/satyriasis, never end up in a happy marriage, because their sick mental disorder will get them in trouble and divorced. many try to quench their mental disorder with marriage, but as soon as husband/wife doesnt offer what they need, they bounce and start fukcing anybody around (maid/gateman/driver/sis or bro in law etc.
you see, the difference is that when you are young, you have not much money so you do it brazenly, but as these men grow up, they do it codedly. thats why today prostitution is rampant; thats why today hookups/sugarbaby lifestyle is rampant; thats why you often see mad women pregnant; thats why you see men fukcing goats; thats why you see women gladly having sex with dogs; thats why places like Bangkok, Medellin, DR, east Europe and now Kenya is such a famous destination for adult men (married or not).
Well, let me agree with you that there are people behaving irrationally when it come to sex. Truly, these set of people can risk even their lives to have sex with worthless people.

Perhaps satyriasis is the same as being sexually irresponsible or being careless about one sexual needs, or maybe satyriasis is different to what i was talking about because you mentioned people having sex with goat, mad women, rapists, etc which I think is actually a mental disorder.

As for the other points, I will focus solely on men. We are naturally wired to have sex with different shape of women in our life time. No matter how discipline you are, you will sometime feel like having sex with another woman ( especially the ones that suit your fantasy). My point is that, not every man that patronize sex worker or have few girlfriends is suffering from any sexual disorder. Promiscuity is an habit, just like smoking or drinking, once you starts, it might be difficult for the person to totally stopped.

But I totally agreed with you on having sex with goat, mad women or rape as mental disorder.

let us not be hypocrites on this issue.... when female suffer from Nymphomania, we dont call it high libido, but instead we call them sick individuals who think about sex all the time, are never sexually satisfied and wanna fukc anyone/everyone (because thats what they are)....but suddenly when men have the exact same mental disorder, we wanna call it high libido, lol!!! again, there is something wrong with a man who thinks about sex all day long and is willing to jeopardize his whole life just for sex.
discipline has nothing to do with satyriasis, its a mental disorder. if i see a mad woman, it isnt "discipline" that is gonna stop me for wanting to have sex with such woman, its common sense (something that these sick people dont have when it comes to sex).
Well, let me just say nature is not bestowed women to be sexually irresponsible, even in animal kingdom. I learned this alot, not only from humans but animals. A male animal is always ready to mate with any female available around, while females are only willing to presents themselves on heat. The same apply to women, that is why you rarely see them discussing their sexuality openly. Though not natural for them but some circumstances force them to be sexually irresponsible. So, we are not hypocrites by shaming any of them that goes off the line.

As for satyriasis, I see it as a mere factor attributed to youthful exuberant. I derived this conclusion on the basis of personal experience. When I was single, especially during my undergraduate days, I used to codedly samples different girls, not that I don't enjoy the do with them, but just derived pleasure in tasting different things for the fun of it. And after sometime, i reasoned that having sex with more women expose one to different kind of STD, couple with spiritual aspect of it. So I decided to stop and embrace decent life.

What will you call that? Be sincere sir, how many married adults have you seen suffering from this compare to youths and unmarried boys? How many busy or purposeful men have you seen getting time chasing women up and down? Like I said before, everything starts from our brains, if you want to prove me wrong, you can find someone you think he is suffering from satyriasis and diverse his attention to something that will trouble his psycho. Do this and see if the person will remember sex, not to talk of jumping from one woman to another.

its not the same, high libido is normal while satyriasis is a mental disorder, an addiction... here are some examples:
- a husband with a high libido wants to have sex with his wife 5 times a day; a husband suffering from Satyriasis wants to have sex with ANYBODY (maid/babysitter/sister or mother in law etc) 5 times a day.
- a husband with high libido gets pleasure from having sex with his wife; a husband suffering from satyriasis never gets pleasure from sex with anybody, but is constantly seeking for it.
- a husband with high libido would say "no" to having sex with the maid/sister in law/ babysitters etc, a husband suffering from Satyriasis can never turn down sex (with whomever that may be)...because sex is an addiction to them.
- just like any other addicted person, it comes a time when men suffering from satyriasis will be willing to lose EVERYTHING IN THEIR LIFE (job/marriage/family/money) just to have sex with anybody.

- majority of men who are willing to have sex with a homeless mad woman (who probably hasnt taken a bath for months), are suffering from satyriasis. a sane person with high libido would not even consider having sex with such person.
- a person with high libido can have sex 5 times a day, but if they dont then its ok too. a person suffering from satyriasis thinks about having sex from morning til night, even if they just had sex 5 mins ago.
- people suffering from satyriasis cant control their sexual urges and often end up having sex with donkeys (or any other animals) OR even turn to rape etc to quench their mental disorder.

today, sick people suffering from such mental disorder (nymphomania/satyriasis) are also called HYPERSEXUAL/HYPERSEXUALITY
Boss, forget what you read on Internet, some theories are silly sometimes, only want to create another subject matter where there is non.

Every sexual activity or thinking start from brains, you cant have high libido withiout constantly thinking about sex. A man with high libido hardly celibate, he will finitely find someone to have sex with. A man with high libido will never satisfied with one round of sex especially if he cum so fast.

Every healthy man are wired the same way ( can have sex with any category of woman), what make one man different to another is discipline, rationality and determination.

My point is that, you can't be suffering from SATYRIASIS withiout high libido because both involve incessant thinking of sex, and sexual activity is first initiated by brains.

any healthy human being has a hardon after sleep and can have sex everyday.
sadly, some men confuse having high libido with having a hardon when they wake up from sleep. it is very common for men to have a hardon when they wake up from any sleep, thats certainly NOT a sign of having a high libido.... on the other hand, some men suffering from SATYRIASIS (aka male version of nymphomania) are never sexually satisfied, even if they have sex all day.

pls dont confuse the two:
HIGH LIBIDO someone who is always thinking about OR in the mood for sex (whether they just wake up or not)
SATYRIASIS someone who is never satisfied from sex
Still the same, someone who is never satisfied from sex will always want more of it, same way a man with high libido can't resist sexual urge. The key point is that both of them always want more sex irrespective of whether being satisfied or not.

These set of government levels are supposed to be most impactful on the masses, but they are the most corrupt. Funny enough, the masses are not holding them accountable.

Do you know your LGA chairperson? Have you ever asked what he/she did with allocations to the LGA? That is the closest government official to you, not BAT. Start your challenge from the LGAs, then move up to State Governors and then to the President.

I live and work in the US, the challenge of the government starts at the School PTAs and School District Councils, then to the Mayors?County Executives, then to the Governors, then to the President. Everyone at each level is held to strict level of accountability.

Until we focus the challenge at every levels of government, we will be kidding ourselves as nothing will change.
I love your contribution except local governments part. I don't want to believe that you believes local governments is still functioning as it should in Nigeria?

99% of local governments administrators are puppets in the hands of governors. About 70% of them are just care takers collecting only salary from state governors. The situation is so bad that we don't even know if local governments exist or not.

I was very much alive when local governments were still functioning well, everyone know the chairman, including all councillors within their community. We had direct access to them as all of them can be seeing moving around like ordinary citizen. Street roads, widows, primary health care, elementary schools, street light, tractors and free fertiliser for farmers were well provided by local governments.

Infact, whenever I remember this, I weep for Nigeria.

Let us tell ourselves the truth, propaganda against Tinubu's government is a waste of time. The level of corruption in our states (and local governments) is beyond control.

People blame BAT but are not holding their state governors accountable. Many don't even know who the deputy governor of their state is, talkless of the local government chairman.
Alot of Nigerians are educated illiterates, they will attack your post as usual and call you Tinubu supporter.

Only in Nigeria you will see a so called educated person blaming president but neglected the ones assigned to take development closer to him. State government are the reason Nigeria is not moving forward, they are not but mere waste of resources.

End state government and deal directly with our 774 local governments or simply share the country into six geo- political zones.

So, in other words, something always come up when you're about to reply a message.
Not always but happened once in a while like that.

I will say it again, except you are not in a good term with the person, never conclude so fast that someone snub you until they tell you the reason for their action.

People who are always busy, especially business persons, nursing mothers, elders or let me say married women with kids generally hardly reply their chats or calls in time. For instance, I called someone close to me on Tuesday but didn't take her call, I called her back yesterday, only for me to hear ( haaaa, didn't see your call sir o, maybe it was when my children were playing carton on my phone). Imagine if I had reacted so quick and blocked her, that is how I would've offended an innocent woman for nothing.
