An0nimus: ![]() Instead of advising the OP to speak/deal calmly with the girl its the practice of a minor living with another family that is being castigated. A practice I dont think will ever stop in naija and thats the reality. People have been and will still have minors living with them as whatever we may decide to call it. A woman gives birth her towns person/family friend sends her 8 year old daughter to "help" aunty with the baby, from there she goes to school Aunty sends some provisions to the parents from time to time,(which I think its a subtle/indirect form of payment same as schooling) she runs errands around the house etc, she grows and begins to help with the children. ^^^ Is the reality is naija except we deceive ourselves. All these ones we are saying is just English. |
A lot of nairalanders are never realistic |

anonymousreport:p Of course they dont have to mourn forever. BUT I do find it a bit strange to walk up to some one 8weeks after your newly wedded wife dies and say you re interested in marrying the person. Thats strange really strange. |
A young minister in church proposed 8 weeks after he lost his wife (his wife died some weeks to their 1year anniversary) Of course I rejected. I was tempted to remind him that he should still be mourning but I guess I didnt want to state the obvious and rub salt on the wounds(thats if he was even hurting) I am still in shock that someone can propose to another woman just weeks after he lost his "newly wedded" wife Some people sha He even still had the guts to tell someone to please talk to me that my response was unfavorable. I was like seriously? Na there I para well well ![]() He ended up calling to apologise. |
Enilori o ni fila, eni ni fila o ni ori to ma de si You are making what some families earn as their combined income You are not contributing to the bills 20k is too small as pocket money In this present economy? Diaris God. Oga I think you guys should sit and talk about a good financial plan, Children fees, your own house etc. This is naija where anything can happen. Plan ooo |

This one has been long, then if you call it was one engineer that will say you should pay to secure an indigineship letter so you will get an AGIP job. |
The problem with majority of health workers is the same problem a lot of Nigerians have - ATTITUDE. Until every life brought into the general hospital is deemed sacred and must be saved at all costs then we will begin to see improvements. Just imagine the dr Mr armadeo posted about. |
Well why are they still subscribing if its that bad, glo is still okay over here and at least their 2G data is 2G unlike some other networks. Its just thay when rain falls the network seems to dissapear with the weather. Airtel is slow in my house, fast just the next street and superfast in my church. Find the network that is suitable for you,all of them have issues. |
Shym3xx:Loool, maybe if you stay out of trouble you wont get banned . I saw you say the variant of your I.D I follow was banned for a year, has it been banned again?I am good as always, trusting God for all things and in all things and you how are you? |
Shym3xx:Hahaha not exactly, you switched monikers again(you have too many variants of your I.D)and I follow just one. I hardly see your posts and the one I think I saw was somewhere in TV/movies/music (not really sure where) and I do more of reading most times. You should know I still stand by what I said then. Pleased to meet your friend. |
Shym3xx:Shymexx my troublesome Ijebu brother.Hope you know you are troublesome. I saw 4mentions and I was wondering... Happy weekend bro. |
Just when you think you have seen it all. |
Nice thread, I have been looking for information about this route. Does anyone have a map showing what parts of Ijede it will pass through. I heared the commisioner on radio saying it will pass through some places in Igbe. cc: Ikorodureporta |
Only the OP understands why shes apprehensive, she knows her relatives and hubby more than we do. Maybe the mum didnt support her hubby marrying an ibo lady, maybe she had had issues with MIL in the past, there are too many things that might have happened. she knows why shes apprehensive, its quite easy for us to say she has wahala. This one is not really the issue of how long will mama stay there are other things attached to it and those are the main issues. Shes mentioned hubby's support, she doesnt think she can depend on him when she needs his support and also ethnic differences I believe those two points are the genesis of the matter. If you can get hubbys support and look beyond ethicity all will be well. |
God2man I agree with you, though I think one can decide make the natural hair without any sort of attachments or be on low cut. Although I must admit some people find short natural hair easier to manage. Why are people criticizing the OP, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and besides he is right on all the spiritual stuff he talked about. It takes a discerning mind to know this, everyone cant be ignorant of somethings. |
Whats wrong with her hands? All I see is a dark complexioned lady with low nails. |
grayht:You must be a biochemist. Proudly metabolite. |
SMH @ most of the comments on page 1. How will someone suggest A wife has not earned the husbands trust to be his next of kin. I just hope most of the people that comment on Nairaland are not people we meet everyday. It seems 2 is not 1 in marriage to some people. Modified: Read through all the posts and I give up. I cant believe some people reason this way. |
Ferdinandu:You are right , even if we have a president from another ethnic group it will is still be the same problem. No body can be an ideal president in this country, ethnic and religious tension wont allow it. |
WOW!!! 4.86 from Biochemistry in LASU, very nice. |
tailek:Which of the guys is Ademola, the fair one by the 3rd seat or the dark one by the first seat of the customer service section? I had an experience with them too recently(though not too nasty) when I requested my ATM card pickup branch to be Agbara. Those people can test the patience of a saint. Generally GTB is losing(or has lost) that excellent service they used to be known for (maybe except their gtconnect call centre). |
Congrats OP Those that insulted you back then will now congratulate you. |
From your story, your brother is the problem. He kept malice with his own dad and you expect him to listen to the advice of the elders? Find a way to take care of your mum, I would have said if its possible for him to leave the house with his girl he should so that there will be peace but I am thinking there are cultural issues involved as he is the only son. Don't you and your sisters have a say about him squandering family wealth? |
I am glad it ended well. People will begin to find it difficult to help out of fear of being labelled a scammer. |
I think its still relevant, female inheritance is not common in some tribes hence the need to birth a son at all costs. I used to think it doesn't matter not until I saw a church member with 5 beautiful girls answer an altar call for those looking for the fruit of the womb, I was shocked. For some people its they must have a male child and that their marriage is not secured until they have a son. I strongly believe culture plays an important role in the quest for a male child sometimes. |
I did not see a helicopter in the pictures. I believe an emergency management team should have one. |
Valthegreat:[ fashoo2010:There's a slight error on that description, from Oshodi (If you drop at Oshodi)you board mile two bus IT IS WHEN YOU GET TO MILE TWO bustop you will board a bus going to Agbara not dropping along the way. I guess it was an oversight on fashoo's part. You can then follow the rest of his description. Alternatively, there are motor parks for the East around mile2/mazamaza. I see young shall grow etc there. So I believe there would be buses from onitsha coming directly to mile 2 just ask at the park in onitsha, when you drop at mile 2 you can then board agabara then follow the rest of his description from Agbara. (This is just to save you some stress) BTW mile 2 and Oshodi are in Lagos, You board a Lagos bus going to Mile2 or Oshodi. If you stop at Oshodi will board mile2 then Agbara ,but If you get a mile2 bus straight from Onitsha you just board Agbara when you drop. For the confusion about Agbara being in Ogun/Lagos. I believe Agbara is geographic ally in Ogun state but technically in Lagos. It can confuse those not familiar with the closeness. Best of Luck. |
spiralwedge:Pheww , thats exactly what I was thinking too. A church that influenced the government. I really hope its a rumour, that church is a very good example of what the church should be. |
Oh my!!! Not Sunday Adelaja, I hope this is false. God help your Church, God help him. Embassy of God is an example of how the Church should influence the society and even the government. Church Shift is still fresh on my mind. I really hope this is a rumour. |
SMH This is really unfair, there are real families out there at Chibok whose daughters are missing and everything to some Nigerians is politics. Its a pity, real pity. Peoples daughters are dead/missing, Some parents at chibok are praying that their daughters are not among the dead girls, just praying their daughter will come back whether married, pregnant, defiled they just want to see their daughters alive and we just come and say nonsense. Do you even know what it means to lose a family member or a family member goes missing or kidnapped. It seems some of us dont realize that chibok is not an imaginary town and the parents/ girls are real people with blood running through them and they have emotions too. Everything should not be about PDP/APC For those saying she cant speak English, I did a bit of my NYSC in Adamawa and the principal asked if I understood Hausa I said no, he told me I would have to learn bits in order to teach SS students Biology, I was dumbfounded and this was even in Yola the state capital so I can imagine how corpers in remote parts of the north are finding it difficult. Thank God there was crises and I redeployed I don't even know how one will teach biology in my native tongue not to talk of another language you don't understand. Until you have served in some remote places you wont believe its possible for an SS3 student not to even speak/understand pidgin not to talk of English. Do we think they are called Educationally less developed for no reason. |
. I saw you say the variant of your I.D I follow was banned for a year, has it been banned again?
