Prince16:Loool, you know that religion, tribal differences and political inclination has clouded logical thinking in a lot of Nigerians. I didn't even notice the girls tribe until I saw those posts. |
kay29000:Yeah, by fire by force you must obey. Hmm really, Its the first time I am hearing this. I did literature as a science student in school, maybe that played a little role. I will give it a try. |
Timoleon:Hahahaha so sorry, his canes were strangely fat and the amount of pressure he uses when flogging is something else. God help anyone on the sweeping roaster if the class is dirty and he strolls into your class by mistake. looool at advice you, after he has almost wrecked ones palm he will start advising. |
Timoleon:Nice hes a soldier, You should know RSM koko too the fear of his fat cane is the beginning of common sense hehehe. Anyway nice meeting an ex-commando. |
Timoleon:So its actually called pin your head. I attended CDSS ojo too. It was K.K Kwana that flogged us that day. I can never forget his name I heared he died some years back though. |
kay29000:Its almost impossible to attend a Command school without having such stories, the discipline given in those years is enough to shape you towards the right direction in life. Besides I think that was the first and last time I was flogged by a soldier, I conformed sharply and I obeyed instructions. If you pass through a command school and you allow the school to pass through you, you will be very disciplined. Disciplined enough to keep to time, be respectful etc even in your dressing, If as a senior you wear a skirt that is too short or too tight they use scissors to slit it right at the center where it will be impossible to patch and you will be forced to sew another, by the time all your bad skirts are damaged you will conform to the school's at least knee length standard when sewing a new one. There was also this style of trouser hem then I think its called fold up or something if they catch you as a guy they cut it out If your barbed hair is too bushy, they use scissors to cut just a portion of the hair, you will be forced to go to the barber. I and like two of my friends once tucked out our shirts outside the school premises after school ooo, but still within the cantonment our A.O was passing on his bike as we were walking down, He just said ehen and he seized our bags I had to explain to my mum why I was not with my school bag which the house keys were in. I collected my bag the next day. No dangling earrings, it had to be a small pin up earring or else it will be seized, if the earring is too wide despite the fact that its was a pin up it will be seized and you dare not paint your nails. Nobody had the time to pamper anyone, you shape in or shape out and my set we had a lot of difficult students. I think CDSS motto was/is still discipline and knowledge and to be honest I got a fair share of both. These past few years teachers cant even talk to students they will be raising shoulders just because they are now as tall as they are. I have to admit that the caning for this girl was a bit much but then its caning and it will heal. But If she did slap a prefect in a command school she would have gotten more than that. To answer your question, I am not a writer (at least not literary writing), I just describe/narrate well I think. |
SMH, Nigerians will turn everything to politics. Now its Buharis fault At least I know someone personally that got the job. The recruitment process took about 2 years, and she just happened to know an insider that gave her the info and people were disqualified at each stage. She wrote tests and attended interviews and she got the job. Its bad that it was not advertised but turning this to an APC PDP matter is what I don't get, besides I have never seen a CBN advertisement, recruitment has always been man know man. Blaming Buhari for a recruitment process that started for more tham 2 years is hilarious. I expect people to start blaming Jonathan too for not concluding the NNPC 2012 recruitment. Nigerians never cease to amaze me sha, political inclination , ethicity and religion has blinded some peoples sense of reasoning. |
Hmm, I just feel we are not getting the whole story. For her to have been beaten like that something else must have happened. I attended a command school and I have seen students being flogged with canes while water was being poured on them and also while rolling on the parade ground. I have seen students crawling with their knees on the rough parade ground while the knees are blistering. But of course it had to be the one of the greatest offences e.g jumping the school fence to avoid classes or for whatever reason. I have seen a student almost being expelled simply because he disrespected his teacher. We even had a guard room then where they could lock you up if you really misbehave but to get most of these punishments you must have committed a grave offence. My first day in secondary school as a little girl I was flogged by a soldier in fact my whole class was flogged simply because we didn't know we were supposed to sit up to greet a military personell (The school A.O) instead of hitting the desk and saying good morning Sir and the way we were flogged was you stand up and bend your head to touch the desk that way your back will be curved and the cane will enter well. It was just one stroke but ehn the ripples of pain it sent through our bodies chai we never made that mistake again. Anyway they should have just expelled her instead of the beating since we are in the era of no child caning. Besides those are marks of the caning, It will fade away. Its water cane marks. I am a bit surprised that caning is making the news. |
You said cheating is his only flaw and he is aware you are aware of his cheating? You just mentioned cheating as if its one minor habit. I dont think this one is cold feet. If its just that he gets angry when he sees you I would have said pray. I think you should move out and at least postpone the wedding to see if there's anyway things can be sorted out. |
People sha. Its nobody's business how she appreciates her hubby. They think it would have been easy to bag that degree without the hubbys support abi. |
SirShymexx:Haba Shymexx, I don't agree. How are you doing? |
klassykute:2. Honestly I was not really flogged as a teenager, It was just the right thing to obey your parents not that I didn't get out of line at times but not the kind of rebellion we see now. Simply it was the fear of her talks looooollll My mum did more of talking/shouting and it worked for my kind of person as I was easy going and not troublesome/stubborn, Anytime I get out of line and once she talked I will see reason, apologise and we continue our lives so the talking system worked basically because of my nature. Some children don't listen to talk they are very very stubborn, the only language they seem to understand is the hard way they need serious strong hand and serious spanking too conform. I have seen siblings of the same parents with these two personalities and you just wonder if they passed through the same womb one is easy going and obedient the other one is basically WILD. I doubt if the parents will use the same correction methods for both of them. Personally I don't believe in beating children but if it will make them conform I will gladly bring the rod. |
We need good investigators in this country, The man is most likely innocent but if he was not committing adultery he wouldn't have been roped into this. |
klassykute:Each Child is different and unique, even among siblings. Some once you talk to them they get remorseful, some you just need to withdraw some privileges they quickly conform and some they need to be SPANKED seriously. I know a lot of people whose lives are for the better now because they were seriously "caged" and what teenagers define as caging can be as simple as obeying instructions. Freedom for some children may cost them as much as their future or even their life. Every child is free to play but there are some degrees of freedom you should not give a teenager, giving a child freedom does not equate her having good character. I do agree with you about the open heart and open hand but sometimes parents need to be firm. Even those in University still listen to instructions. How much more a child in secondary school. Being caged doesn't mean one will misbehave when set free, sometimes it does depend on the child in person. It is the discipline instilled in the child during those formative years that will help sustain that child when she goes out to the real world. I got to UNI as a teenager 16-17 I went to school from home because it was close by. My first taste of the "freedom" was NYSC but my mum was confident enough that her daughter wont misbehave, she knows that it is where I say I am that I am that was the training she instilled. When I go with NCCF for the rugged. I just say mum we are going for NCCF stuff you may not be able to reach me for some days because there may not be network. I will call you as soon as I can and that ends it. I am an only child so you can imagine the level of close marking I got. I was never really spanked but I did listen to instructions as a teenager. I am still accountable to them till they give my hand. I had to get an apartment sometime in 2014 in the other side of town and I still let my mum know my movement till I packed out of that house. Sometimes we feel they will learn on their own or outgrow their behaviour what if they don't or what if they do but at a higher price. Some children have learnt the very hard way. We complain that there are bad people in the society, this is where it starts from but then there are some children that parents have tried all possible means but still they wont change. God will help parents. |
donbenedict:modernization? hmm okay oo. |
I don't think a 14year old is too old to be spanked although I m not an advocate of beating but sometimes it does reset the brain to default, ejecting all that stuff that is making her disobey her parents. She should be able to listen to simple instructions, its not too much to ask her not to paint her nails, its not too much to ask her to help your mum. Continue talking to her and she should please discard that boyfriend before something happens. A lot of times when these small girls begin to have boyfriends they lose respect for those in authority. She should not give her elderly parents HBP. Times have changed sha. I have noticed this trend, a lot of children born 2000 upward seem to be quite disobedient, some parents are having a tough time with these kids, listen to simple instructions they wont. |
Very good. I don't know why some male traders cant keep their hands in their pockets, very common in Lagos markets too they will even drag you as if its by force to patronize them. |
Mr OP If a woman marries and has a miscarriage during her first pregnancy, later gets pregnant and delivers the baby successfully which one do you think she will say is the first fruit of her womb? |
Whats with baby bump pics that is reigning now. Even if you want to snap must the belly be without clothing. The pictures are nice sha. |
haul:So witches don't birth male children or inability to bear a male child is equivalent to being a witch. |
Wow
The world is really a small place. See serious allegations. |
Polygamist naturally? - NO A man that is a polygamist or has a tendency of being a polygamist does so by CHOICE. |
Oma307:If you say so....... I am not from Kwara neither do I live in kwara but that was what I was told by someone who knows her. Anyway, anything can happen in politics. |
The mother is still angry (thats what I think) |
I just asked my neighbor from kwara that knows Gbemi saraki personally. Well according to her Gbemi and our SP are political enemies and not in talking terms. |
Very wrong for a lady to dress like that irrespective of her religious affiliation. We think its just about covering the body, we now cover the whole body with skin tight clothes with all curves showing perfectly and then claim I am properly dressed. Who is deceiving who? Yes I am a Christian. . |
At least some people will now believe when they say a guy and a lady can be charmed. |
Babe, just assume you are not in a relationship, infact let him go jare. He's double dating and you already know it. I am assuming you are against double relationships. You see all these statements you are making "he wants to be with me , even if you leave I wont go back to her" does not hold water. |
So what WAEC is saying now is that they have to process/analyse the results. I thought they brought out stats of results of the states which was released to the press which means all the data is somewhere already and has been analysed. How hard is it then to determine the best students from each state using the same data or is it not a computerised process? *sighs* |
italo:Do you really mean what you just typed. The bible is not the primary teacher ![]() |
italo:Loool, I dunno if there's a verse that called the scriptures Bible. Whats the link between this and my.question |
italo:Yep |
