Unilag is very notorious for not being transparent with hostel balloting, some of the staff are involved in the selling of bed spaces to people who settle them, and they make sure the portal either doesn't work or does not allocate majority of the spaces during the ballot.

The question is not about possibility, the question is how FREE ELECTRICITY will be generated for all public universities.
The Exxon mobil you mentioned, I hope you realise it is the revenue they generated from the community's resources that they used to provide that electricity. The point is there is nothing FREE in this world in running a country, someone somewhere pays for it. We can't just be making postulations online when we don't even know how something currently operates or how what we are saying should be done will be done.

There was a time I had a confrontation with one of my siblings, our last born and he stood his feet man to man at me, I let go the rage even though he's been corrected over what is not. Not just hostels, faculties and departments have to be run daily, or they expect lecturers to sit in their offices without electricity? How about water? How about equipment required for academic work? Such naive comments here honestly.

It is the school that pays most non-academic staffs not federal government. Nepa bills of student living in hostels who depend more on hotplate to cook amount to millions. When school show you their day to day expenses you go understand better.
