You can contact your account manager or speak to the customer care (contact details can be found in the app when you log on), Access' customer service is quite good so they should be able to help you with it.

Foreign AffairsRe: Top 10 Longest-serving African Presidents by yewit37486: 3:32pm On Sep 01, 2023
LegendHero:
I think it has more to do with actual performance. It’s not only Africa that we have longest serving presidents. But the main thing is that what did they achieved.

—Russia president for almost 23 years.
—Turkey president now serving for 20 years.
—Singapore president serving for almost 20 years
—Ireland president now serving 12 years
—Chinese president now almost 11 years
Still can't be compared to the 40+ target most African presidents seem to have predilection for (on top of poor performance as rightly pointed out). We should equally blame the supporters of these leaders who will never speak the truth even when it's staring them in the face.

He's not talking about himself, rather about those he's to speak with.

He's afraid he won't understand their accents.

Those Texans
He should thank his stars that it is not the Scottish accent he has to deal with cheesy Thank God for emails!

I think his concern is they won't understand his own accent - since the job was upgraded to Outbound Sales which means he has to make calls to customers I presume, so definitely would be a concern if they can't understand him.

Well if you work for a high valued organisation wether in Nigeria or abroad this is the first basic orientation you will be given. When I worked in Nigeria, the coy I worked with will not allow you to enter bike 🚳 let alone bus. Infact how would you even think of it. Well I guess he is working with a mushroom startup abroad. Let me let you know for free no sensible organisation abroad will let you work remotely without thinking about the security and data you have. Before I relocated, the Coy told me point blank we cannot guarantee safety of our data in Nigeria. It is either you relocate or you forget about it. For a 250k apartment in Lagos? Let me allow you rest biko, I cannot stress further.
You are going off tangent. The guy works remotely so your point re: bike/bus doesn't apply. And even if he is working for a "mushroom startup" as you call it, he is being paid for a honest job, isn't he? He is not scamming or doing yahoo. Let the dude be and stop trying to undermine his decision, and stop being condescending towards others, you are free to apply whatever standards you choose to yourself. EOD.

if you earn well and you work for a valuable organisation please don't think like this please 🥺. Look if you work for a valuable organisation you have access to sensitive information I. Your computer, the Outlook or slack on your mobile has sensitive data, you cannot be boarding BRT or bus to work, what if your phone gets stolen or you get robbed? What if your work gadgets get stolen? How about the safety of your life? How can you live in a neighborhood without adequate private security? If you earn well forget about rushing to go build a house think smart and focus what is in front of you. You can buy a duplex for 120m with 60m down payment and get the remaining finance from the bank. Why are you thinking like a civil servant huh
You cannot project your assumptions on others, that's the point. How do you know where he lives is unsafe? Did verybadmouth tell you that? Do you know him personally? Live and let live, it is his LIFE, and he made his decision to live where he lives based on factors he knows, respect that.

Btw, he works remotely, so where does entering BRT come in here?!!

For you to be a developer and pay 250k rent, then you must be getting paid badly, when I lived back then in Lagos a decent apartment on the mainland around Ikeja I was paying 750k far back. Saying you will stay in Nigeria and be working for a US firm is myopic, if you have the means of relocating.
You simply can't conclude without knowing the full details. What if he decided to live in a cheap place in order to fast track his savings to buy his own place? What if there are family considerations in his choice to live where he lives?

Oyinbo country self too get wahala.

You cannot discipline your wife as one can do in Nigeria... Your wife can wake up and call police for you and police will ask you to leave your home.

You cannot scold your kids, if you do so and the authority get to know, they will take away your kids and hand them over to a foster parent.

And this is the place some people are selling their assets to go lipsrsealed

My prayer to all Nigeria men suffering under their wives in various oyinbo country.
Why should you be disciplining your wife? Is she a child? No healthy marriage entails a husband "disciplining" a wife.

The worst place to live in Africa is Lagos. No electricity, No roads, No jobs, No housing, No food pantry. What a lost city.

Tinubu stole everything and installed his criminal co-travellers to continue the stealing.
Stop exaggerating abeg, every country/city has its slum areas and other negative aspects, Lagos is def not the worst place to live in Africa or even in the world.

Sad to hear about the demise of the designer of the Nigerian flag. His significant role in shaping Nigeria's identity stands as an impressive accomplishment. The enduring memory of his flag design will serve as a perpetual tribute to his heritage. May he find eternal rest.

It's disheartening to see some individuals tarnish Nigeria's name by engaging in illegal activities like drug trafficking. Instead of selling drugs and cocaine abroad, let's honor the memory of individuals like Akinkumi by making positive choices and contributing positively to our nation's reputation.
It's also disheartening to see individuals like you constantly polluting threads with snide remarks and tribalistic comments. Don't you people get tired, ehn?!

@OP
Rest in peace, Pa Akinkunmi.

Exactly, and I am not fond of the thing...though to be honest, some senators do spend their money on sensible things. (One senator for example...now late...funded a scholarship for students going to university from his district who were resident in the district self. Some fund road projects and so forth.).

But even then, it is a lot of money.
Yep, and I suspect people like the senator you mentioned are in the minority.

You did not need to respond to the guy with abuse, you know.

Anyway, you are correct about the spending. Senate doesn't even gulp up to one trillion (God knows I used to think they did.). At best, 0.2 trillion...or 200 billion. At best.
That's still a lot of money for such a small number of people...
