Whatitis: Normal stuff. Especially when women find you attractive and desirable. Had many instances of women going stark naked to ask and sometimes try to force themselves on me and I simply refused not because I didn't find them attractive (some were cynosures) but rather because I didn't trust their intentions. You can get stuck with a baby, unintended relationship, STD, etc. Whenever something is free take your time to go through the terms and conditions.
complexstuffs: This is exactly what I'm talking about. Our sense of values in Nigeria has eroded so much that we justify illegality and claim it is God's blessing which is why many Nigerians land in jail easily whenever they step out of the country
Below is a YouTube video of a pastor in Nigeria praying for a yahoo boy to overcome a stubborn client.. If you still have no shame after this, I leave you to your shameless life.
We are talking about A, you are talking about B. Is OP a yahoo guy? What is the correlation? You clearly struggle with a lot of things including coherence and making sense. As someone else up there has advised, it's a waste of time engaging you, so please knock yourself out with posting irrelevant links and comments, further mentions from you will be duly ignored.
Spiff20: Such an ugly man still dull in bed. Some of these women of class are sometimes choiceless or lack taste. See him big head like NDDC signboard. I'm sure his pipi is also small. Moyo you disappoint us for this one fa. So na this man you for even marry sef. You dodged a bullet all the same.
Moyo has never been in that category. Even the few low budget nollywood movies she manages to feature in, her main focus is exposing her body on top the wack acting.
streetzdreamz: Anybody with active brain cells already know who the smart one is between you two. Having conversations with some people sometimes seem like one is talking to a wall. Just leave that poor dude and his 50% argument as though he gives 80% at work.
Honestly. I will leave him to his ignorance, won't bother replying him again, it's a total waste of time.
complexstuffs: Mr "interviewer" who knows 50% is equal to 100%
When next you go to the market, just pay the sellers 50% of all the items you are buying while telling them that you are an interviewer
Don't embarrass yourself like this, he is the one that assessed himself as 50%. The interviewer clearly found him fit to be offered the job. Why are you so pained?
complexstuffs: I made my comments entirely based on what he wrote and not on some imaginary made up stories by you..
Stop sugarcoating illegality. It's only in Nigeria that 50% is taken to be 100%
Where exactly did he state that he lied or changed his CV? You clearly do not know how interviews work. Just admit your ignorance instead of displaying it in full glare.
complexstuffs: isn't that corruption? Our sense of justice in Nigeria is sometimes wack
You knew you were not qualified to handle a job yet you took the offer illegally.
How would you feel if you went to a hospital and they told you the person to treat you is "50% qualified" to treat you.
I came across a video on Nairaland where a pastor was praying for a yahoo boy against "stubborn clients" not paying up. When Oyinbo refused to allow himself/herself to be defrauded, he/she becomes a stubborn client that pastors are supposed to pray against
There is a lot that goes into recruitment. There is the interviewers' perception vs your own perception. As long as the interviewers interviewed him and considered his experience as well as his answers to their questions satisfactory to do the job, what he thinks about his own abilities is up to him (he may see himself as 50% while in reality he is far better than that and they judge him higher than he judges himself). There is absolutely nothing illegal in him taking the job. IF he said he lied on his CV, then that's a different matter and your point would be valid, but he didn't, so why are you accusing him when you are the one that doesn't know how things work?
Inteviewing and candidate selection has never been a black or white thing, not in Nigeria, not elsewhere. There is always the subjective element.
mizz2posh: I wonder when you will go back to naija since you have seen the reality, you should be writing this from naija so that people can take you seriously.
He has his right to express how he feels about being there, the same way you have the right to express yours. Let people speak their minds abeg.
Beniyke1: the first laid down process or action here is contacting her emergency contact details that is if she filled in or submitted any and if the contacts she submitted is even valid or exists. You can trust Nigerians on that. They don’t ever like filling in passenger manifests or emergency contact details. Many will outrightly refuse to fill while others will reluctantly fill in non existent numbers. I have seen it severally in the aviation industry as well.
So for the airline to have contacted the consulate which is the next line of action and infact the next point of call shows that they’ve first tried contacting her emergency contacts. So based on the communication with the consulate her body must have been deposited somewhere pending when the consulate is able to contact and locate her family. The airline can’t carry her body to London.
The headline of the news or post is very wrong and misleading using that word ‘dumped’
Very comprehensive explanation, and it makes sense that would be the procedure to follow. P.s. - I don't think any one would expect the airline to take the body to London.
Segzy19: You seriously lack comprehension. Read my comment again and pay attention to every word I used. My comment was not a statement of fact.... I used the words 'could have' and 'maybe'.... do those words suggest to you like a statement of fact?
An average Nigerian rush to comment without properly comprehending what they comment on...
Whatever words you used prior, you ended it with "She wasn't discreet", so maybe you should go and learn how to construct sentences correctly.
Sharpsharp00123: oya what do u think d airline should have done?
In my opinion, the expectation is that they should follow whatever laid out process they have. Every airline has processes defined for different scenarios.
Segzy19: The way these north African countries treat black African is appalling...
What a shame!
For the lady's death l, I hope people can see the reason why some people don't let anyone know of their japa moves.... This death could have been a natural one, and it could also have been due to the fact that maybe she informed too many people. She wasn't discreet
But you don't know that for a fact, you don't even know her, how can you just conclude?!! Haba
Sharpsharp00123: compensate her family cos she died on board which could b due to illness or anything
How’s that d airlines fault?
We’re u people expecting them to fly her corpse to uk? It’s like u people don’t know there are laws in these countries n it’s not just gabage in gabage out
Do u know the protocols they will go through to get her into uk? Who will bear d cost of keeping her in a morgue?
The only mistake they made was not informing her family
You are the one assuming people expect the airline to fly the corpse to the uk (which wouldn't make sense), even the person you quoted didn't make that assumption.
Major7: Your situation is entirely different from that of the op. It's not just about her past you know, she keep making up with some of these guys which is a big red flag. If they're bad as she claimed, then what is she doing with them still Op,I pray that God will grant you wisdom to approach the issue better.
He said made out not made up, two different things.
IamAsiri: Where did you read that she kept making up with some of those guys? Go and read the story again .
Exactly. Seems some are already misreading and adding their own details to OP's post.
mariahAngel: Imagine everyone followed that pattern; then the main objective of the thread would've been lost. There are certain things we should neither encourage nor make excuses for. Deliberate stupidity is one of such.
I re-read his comment and to be fair he answered the question (albeit he mentioned more than one) based on the way he interpreted it, the two things he mentioned were issues/people he was passionate about at a point in his life. He simply interpreted it differently and didn't see it in the context of being career related as most might have. That isn't enough reason to refer to him as stupid imho.
Gentlelox: If the gal's name is Silvia and she is from Sapele... My brother run run run
She dey lie give u.... I dated one so called Silvia that lived in Sapele and attended Delta State University. That gal na lie full her mouth. She lies about everything and fuczks every dic* that calls her. She lies about men dumping her after her good deeds bt in true sense, she useless these men and make a living hell for all of Dem.
I can't go in details about this gal for now... Bt if her name na Silvia, I just saved ur life... Brotherly run for ur Lyf.... Let me give u an hint about her, she has a tattoo on her leg and one other part, can't remember again.
That gal na abortion headquarter.
With more than 9 abortions am aware of already and body counts about 500(am not exaggerating)... He who has ears, make e nor use earpiece block am.
ovcwality: op you have a very low IQ, even if they give you Nigeria to govern for 100 years it will not change, because you don't have any solutions. And stop lieing, African countries with a good GDP per Capita have good roads, I followed an Indian they were amazed how the roads were nice, is only when they start reaching Cameroun to western Africa that the roads become horrible again. And all the Caribbean countries with good GDP are neat because the depend on tourism. I have never been there but I have seen some on YouTube, either you have a very low IQ or something must be wrong with your brain
Don't mind him. Let them put him in power for 20 years and check again. Armchair critics turn out to be the worst leaders most times. If you notice, he didn't proffer a single solution.
Blakjewelry: You guys can't discuss Nigeria without insult and curses? Criticism should be constructive. Discussions should highlights the problem and present a solution. Now back to the to topic, the major cause of the problem is the local government which are not closer to the grassroot, they are not functional. Most of the so call local government chairs don't even know why they are there, no town planning no single activity, even streetlights done by state governors, other bodies in some local government are left to rot. I think the local government also need more funding we should also hold the local government chairs more accountable because they are largely been ignored by us.
Omoawoke2: Let us just imagine obi won, this headless mob will burn down not Just twitter and nairaland but the entire country. This was beyond politics to them, it was all about ego
There is no difference between you and them, you are all toxic. And in this case, you are the one stirring trouble on a non-politics thread, does that sound right to you? Can you not be the bigger person and ignore trouble?
Omoawoke2: That’s great. But nomination is one thing, winning is another
By the way, sanity has temporarily returned to nairaland
Those obi supporters were something else devoid of reasoning. Suspected obidients invaded nairaland and twitter after their loss at the election. Seems tribunal has restored some temporary sanity. Seun should please get ready for their return as I fear this is only temporary. They are currently mourning their loss and will be back with different strange and weird stories again
Please rest! On this peaceful thread, you are the one stirring trouble again. Haba. Can't you all try and live in peace?! Seun needs to ban all of you all together. Toxic beings.
To me, that still conficts with the statement: Except for British and Irish citizens, everyone, including children who enter or transit through the UK, will soon require permission before they travel.
BreconHills: It is confusing but the image I took is from the uk government website.
I thought something was wrong because most consular services will give at least 12 months notice of major changes. Most countries are trying reduce friction from applications not increase them
Yeah, that's true. Hopefully, they will provide further clarification.
There is some confusing/conflicting information in the additional details provided. The bolded paragraphs below should have just been omitted and it would be clear to everyone that it only applies to those who previously did not require a visa to visit the UK.
Kingzjayzee: The UK home office said persons who need the travel permit are those who were previously eligible to visit the UK without a visa and not already legally resident in the UK.
Also listed for ETA are those on visits shorter than six months, business people, tourism, and those visiting family and friends. Applicants are required to apply online before booking any travel to the UK. Once granted, it will be valid for multiple journeys over two years or until the passport one is applying with expires.
According to the UK Home Office, travellers with valid visas may not be allowed to board without a valid ETA, as the ETA is digitally linked to travellers’ passports.
A statement from the UK office reads: “The UK travel requirements are changing. Except for British and Irish citizens, everyone, including children who enter or transit through the UK, will soon require permission before they travel.
