Honestly, the guy is improving rapidly. It happens to most of us, the first house I built, the supervisor took me to the cleaners and ever since then, I have learnt my lessons. Always remember that whatever has been done before could be done better today, at a cheaper rate. Never buy at the first place you want to, and dont keep a single customer/supplier or workman.

True,that.

In other words, you set up a competition amongst them, and the best quality of their products/handworks will come out naturally and at some very reasonable prices.

Remember they need you as much as you need them.

And lastly, don´t forget about referals. They dont mess with that.

Ibori is a disgrace. The fool provides the sort of reason we should shoot corrupt criminals as happens in China.

Is that my Beaffy over there?

If the above quoted statement sincerely came from you, then you should join the campaign to chase PDP cohorts out of the corridors of power.

We could persuade few progressives among them like Govs Amaechi and Akpabio to govern thier various states as independents, if they choose not to join other progressive party platforms.

I would have even given your beloved GEJ some benefits of doubt if he wasn´t dinning and winning with perpectual treasury looters.

Big well done.
I hope you are already preparing your paper works to expand your biz portfolio and register a company(if you have not done so yet) as a builder because  I guranttee that if you do, your portfolio will span accross the lenght and breath of the country.
I guess there will be loads of ordinary people that are hell scared before but monitoring this thread now that will gladly hand you 7M to build a duplex for them and go to sleep.
Well done once again for the eye opener,no offence to professional builders in the house.

PhysicsRND:

EDO STATE continued. . .

34. Felix Idubor (renowned early artist, opened Nigeria's first contemporary art gallery in 1966)

35. Governor Adams Oshiomhole (labor leader, former president of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC), responsible for a 25% wage increase for public sector workers during the Obasanjo's administration)

36. Shaibu Amodu (only Super Eagles coach to take the Super Eagles to the World Cup twice)

37. Augustus Aikhomu (vice to IBB, not really great though, but known)

38. Mike Akhigbe (former Vice Admiral of the Nigerian Navy, former chief of Naval Staff, former vice president under Abdusalam Abubakar)

39. Ben Osawe (“In 1965, the year in which he completed his studies of sculpture at the Camberwell School, he was chosen to represent Nigeria at the Commonwealth Exhibition in Glasgow. A year later he went back to Africa, to teach at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, but owing to the war in Biafra he was soon forced to flee to Lagos. He there worked in the atelier of his artist colleague Felix Idubor, till opening an atelier of his own in Benin City in 1979.”
“Since the 60s, Osawe´s works have been shown in many exhibitions in Europe, Africa and the USA. In 1962 he took part in an exhibition of the Artists´ International Association in London, and a year later some of his works were shown in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh. Since then he has taken part in exhibitions all round the world, from Lagos to New York and New Delhi. Sculptures of his are to be seen in many public exhibitions and museums, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in Lagos and the cultural department of the Nigerian Ministry of Information.”

An interesting link on him: http://aachronym..com/2008/08/ben-osawe-retrospective-at-quintessence.html

40. Samuel Ogbemudia (in terms of the development he bestowed upon his state (Bendel state), one of the best state governors Nigeria has had)

41. Phillip Igbafe (pioneering Nigerian historian, well known among Nigerian historians)

42. Fidelis  Oyakhilome  (former head of Nigeria's anti-drug agency)

43. Julius Momoh Udochi (first Nigerian ambassador to the U.S.A., early leader of the Nigerian Youth Circle with H.O. Davies)

Festus Iyayi should be on the Edo list.

He is not only great and famous but also a stand-up guy.

I am currently using his literary works for an ongoing project.

This is the kind of thread that makes Beaffy so small and out of ideas for rebuttal that he only resorts to dishing out insults and making attemps to derail the thread from the issues in question.
You guys should just be patient, sooner or later he will mention Tinubu.

FYI:Beaffy, the topic is ¨Power Output Drops To 3,313mw¨ under the nose of your beloved GEJ, contrary to the figures circulated by him and his propaganda machine.

You got the bolded right. We are tired of unintelligent, born to rule types who make plainly dishonest statements. Govt has always had several ministries, it didn't start yesterday; in fact, normal brained people would praise this govt for recognising the fact (it points to what will come after the elections).
We haven't forgeten Ribadu's foolish promise to fix Nigeria's security problem with 5,000 policemen, which amounts to only 6 policemen per LGA. Ribadu is better of gaining experience about how civilian systems work than making statements that cut him out as not very smart and very desperate. He'd better open the book of Atiku and learn from it.

Politics / Re: I Don’t Trust Jonathan –tunde Bakare by yinka85: 4:12pm On Jan 10, 2011
calaway:

Let me say that I hate politicians and don’t personally like GEJ but Nigerians need to take the time to also say what is right at all times cos when we talk we understand better  and positive change is more attainable so I am contributing my angle and I hope it serves my expression.

I want to believe that tunde bakare is a true man of God and not a person who converted from Islam to pursue an agenda of self fulfillment.
I say this because his words are not that of a true Head of a Christian Church. He has not represented his position as the spiritual head of a body of Christ. As a Christian spiritual Head he is deemed to have risen above the confines of partial/partisan or judgmental reasoning. Why has he come out to say that a person has underperformed? What are his expectations of the person/government in question? How long has this government been there with GEJ as the president? Please Bakare simply point out the areas GEJ has erred and let us all judge GEJ. Don’t muddle  issues.

Bakare said GEJ gave them money when they visited him. And so what? If I like what you do even if you don’t like me and you came to see me not to fight or as a critic of my work, but you to come to proffer and give ideas, I am sure that can encourage you by giving you money moreso that you are an NGO. Govts the world over freely give to NGOs. This is not to say that GEJ did well if He actually gave you cash with intent to buy you. If this is so then tell us what he said?
Otherwise all intentions are innocent until proven guilty.

The head of a illegal government as our manBakare can only speak for himself. How can an upright man endorse a coup plotter? Endorse a man who truncated our second republic. For whatever reasons Buhari staged a coup he had no excuse to sieze the destiny of Nigerians (two wrongs don’t make a right, I expect this from a Xtian man of GOD). where are we now?. Could Buhari not wait for the next election year to effect a legal democratic change? After all soldiers are also bonafide members of the electorate. THERE MILITARY IS NOT THE ONLY CAREER IN THE COUNTRY. A coup plotter is not a gentleman by a mile. As a nation we must not continue to reward or recognize those who have in one way or the other conducted themselves unconstitutionally.

Agreed kidnapping is a serious problem in our country, a scourge that raised its ugly head with the arrival of Militancy (S/S) in our country since OBJs regime. Do not 4get that it was GEJ who single handedly brokered amnesty with the Niger delta emancipation forces and FGN. Although complete calm has not been achieved there yet, at least we can see a marked difference. I have often said that we as a people are failing to see the signs of the positive things GEJ is bringing along within the under one year he has been at the helm. It is clear to see that the perennial fuel queues that have plagued us for over 15yrs  is a now a thing of the past all three refineries are working at full capacity along side the commencement of work on three more refineries.
The Bomb blast is a very unfortunate development in our polity but I tell you if Bakare decides that He will plant a bomb in his church to kill selected members of his congregation to attract some sort of attention to himself not even GEJ can stop him. Cos GEJ is not in his diabolic mind and so cannot read his thoughts and intent and thus cannot apprehend him before the deed is done but however GEJ will investigate the incident  and even open the floor for external help in the process and if the clues point to Bakare then only can we held GEJ to account if he does not deal with bakare accordingly.

It will be foolhardy to say that our country has a working system or appears to care about the lot of the suffering masses. This is so because our society has being organized to advantage of only a segment of the Geo-political zones and one group of the collective populace. Those that really want to see a change in our polity must clamor for it along these lines.

All these social analyst who don’t see issues as they should be appreciated while compounding a failing situation to the advantage of the architects of the perceived failure.
I hope this inclination is an ignorant mistake on the part of these critics and not an advance of negative causes.

Please some1 tell me if these words are those of an unbiased man of GOD?

“Honestly, if I have my way, the best for this country today is for President Goodluck Jonathan to make up his mind to conduct a free, fair, credible and peaceful, elections, to use his executive powers to lay the foundation against the time to come. He will go down in history as a man of honour. If all these cluelessness and planlessness and greed for power continue, he will go down to the dustbin of history. That, once upon a time, there was a president, who had the greatest opportunity but who blew it”. If he pleases you he is good if not he is bad right? Just who the hell do you think you are?

Bakare, why cant you come out and say you donot want GEJ to contest for presidency this 2011 and stop making all the senseless rants. I don’t Know you . But I now know that you are from Kwara state.

Please concern urself with your misguided flock and leave the nations  socio-political analysis to unbiased minds with real issued to highlight.
Better choose the service of Caesar or the service of God, you cant joggle both it is not done never(A man of god is apolitical).

PLEASE SOMEBODY SHOULD KNOW THAT THE COUNTRY TODAY IS INBALANCED COS OUR ARMED FORCES ARE INBALANCED WE MUST HAVE PROPER REPRESENTATION OF ALL THE GEO-POLITICAL ZONES IN THE ARMED FORCE. REMEMBER THAT THE NORTHERNERS SAY THIS IN THE CIVIL SERVICES AND CORRECTED IT. WE NEED TO DO THE SAMETHING TO THE MILITARY IT MUST BE DONE BY EXECUTIVE FIAT!!!! LET US ENSURE EQUITY AND FAIRNESS IN OUR POLITY. ONE NIGERIA!!!!!

Politics / Re: Relocation To Nigeria From The Uk 2011. Am I Mad Or Is It Possible ? by yinka85: 10:57pm On Dec 30, 2010
lonewolf:

A good chunk of the responses are idiotic, while the remainder is rooted in bad belle.

Look, poster, Nigeria is peculiar. There are pros and cons. And relocating to Naij will only be sensible, depending on what you want for yourself. To start with, understand that Naij is not a bed of roses. So, you're not going to get a handout because you've come from England. That said, insofar as you bring foreign degrees and formidable professional experience, you are in good stead. The reality is that a degree from the University of Birmingham is better that a degree from the University of Ibadan, and employers understand that.

It's all about what you want for yourself. If you are motivated by the chance of making untold wealth, Nigeria is where you should ultimately go. If you prefer predicability and sanity, stay in England. If you're going to be bothered about lack of electricty, etc., you should stay in England. If you as educated as you make it appear, you can live a respectable middle class life in England -- if this is what you want. So, it's all about choices really.

As an aside, to all those Nigerians in Naij who have this perception that people in diaspora are "suffering", you guys seriously need to check your bad belle. Are there people hustling, etc., in England, Canada and America? Yes. Where this is the case, this is testament to their dexeterity. It's not a bad thing. What kind of wreteched mentality holds that hard work is not respectable?

The bolded above cracks my head each time topics  like this rears itself up.

The hospital I had my first child overseas had 18 Nigerian Doctors and Nurses combined on their payroll as at July 2006.

In their corrupt mind set, everyone outside Naija working hard and playing by set rules by their host countries is suffering and hence should return home.END OF STORY.
