I knew that of Academy before you self .........only that the apathy and illiquidity towards the stock made investors to look away from the stock........
I even posted their last dividend of 0.05k here.....,....which showed lots of improvement in the operations of a company selling at 0.33k at that time, even traded for 0.27 Kobo at some times.

As for Learn Africa I don't hesitate to mention it if needs arises.........that it's a good dividend paying penny stock. Paid 0.15k div in the last FYE.

And as for RTBRISCOE, I don't know about this one, it's the illiquidity that keeps it going, how many people were able to board the bus?? So it's open to manipulations if no concrete news is driving it.

See Jan 3 post to someone asking of Penny stock to pick from a list.....

my opinion, I think mid February to March should be the best time to buy.

- My opinion is based on past few years observations.
- Each year may come with its own different direction.
- You'll have to create time to do serious monitoring to see the direction of Mr. Market and be able to know when stocks offers bargain and are good for picks.
- Picking may depend on your investment objectives and pocket too .......you can be picking in tranches cos no one can time Mr. Market.

- If I remember any other thing, I go update am.
- Remember this is purely my opinion

Your own target is dividend, then keep eye on Mr. Market from now on.......
Remember not all stocks will obey the law of gravity.....
Picking in tranches could work if you're heavyweight......

Ladies & gentlemen, good morning to you. NB don fall my hand ooh. I had options of buying NB or Guinness at 48. I chose to load up on NB. Now Guiness is trading at 66.50 while NB is declining in price.....

When did you buy the NB wey don fall your hand?

Na the reason why people dey fear to put mouth for such question be that o.

Seems you were not here when NB first did its own.........sighted by Oracle in 2020 @N22 and it climbed up to N50+ before relaxing and pulling back........ Peterichy should remember this.
Think Guinness is just doing its own too....,..Guinness fell as low as 13 or 15 if I can still remember very well self .........
NB's turn go still come again...........but like Valueinvestor rightly said, you could have done 50/50.........but you didn't ask for opinion nah........besides, Guinness has gone up much far when compared with the last Financials...

Well, seems Mr.Market is currently doing pullback, sha be watchful of price mvmts and pullback at this period.......but I don't think there should be much worry if you align with value stocks.

There is nothing to worry about it's a system configuration of must trading platform.

This is how it works: Anytime shares enter your account on the trading platform apart from any purchase made by you, it goes in at the current market price so what you see is like you bought MTN at say 194 or there about even though the offer was 169 which is not on the trading machine presently. The real value of your MTN is what you see on your cscs statement. Same thing happens if you move your stocks from one house to the other, If you want those stocks to appear on your trading platform instead of just on your cscs, the stock prices will be calculated with the price at the date of the movement even though you didn't fund your account you will see a different average price.

Example I bout Nestle less than 1,000 some years back. I needed to move the stock to another house and needed the stock to appear on my trading platform in the new house. As we speak the average price of Nestle is 1,403 with some fractions because on the day of the transfer Nestle was close to 1,500

So nothing to worry about. Leave computer to do its own; you just know the amount you bought on the average......

Emma, sorry to say that I didn't totally subscribe to this.
Of course I know you're very knowledgeable in this field........and yes, you were right with CSCS being the Koko in as much as the qty bought was complete and all that....

.......but someone like me, cost price and breakeven price are very important to me, so my understanding of cost price may have to do with the particular broking firm with their brokerage charges........

** Therefore, what I'd observed about this was that........cost price has to do with the stock in question, the price purchased and the charges involved....
For instance, if I buy Chams for say 0.20k, my CP shouldn't be more than 0.21k and 0.21/0.22k as breakeven price........ DEPENDING on the volume acquired............ This can't be said of Fidson at 8.00, Zenith @26, NB @48, MTN @198 or even Nestle @1400..........they'll all come with varied higher Cost & Breakeven prices.

We are learning here, and I think having much knowledge of how this works is beneficial as well.

Guess the average cost price has to do with volume and the high unit price of MTNN........high average cost used to come with how big the share price is....
I think your purchase charges (and possibly selling charges) was also factored in.......

You can demand for an explanation from your broker, they needed to look into it and tell you how they arrived at the figure.

Btw, the fair price of N28 gotten by CP was based on Q3 result alone.
Some lines in Q3 were just smelling of money, money, money...... that was what I saw that time.
We'll see what's cooking in Q4 that made those guys be packing it like sand.
One thing I like about this stock is it's liquidity though, the stock no fit stuck person like those illiquid ones.

Fidelity should be way above fcmb. Atleast on the strength of recent results.

Even before the results, Fidelity should be ahead of FCMB........but Mr. Market was just doing its things......
Can remember when the two were the point of focus here.....
One of the good things about FCMB is their MM though........ we'll see if they'll rise up the challenge, result will also play vital role here...
