Ethnic sentiments made the igbos take the step they did. The closest Igbo man to the incoming Government is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa. Lets break down things to see how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They couldn’t override their pathological hatred for General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins, which he did. Instead folks played tribal and religious politics to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man and the chance to make history as Senate President. That’s what happens when emotions trips common sense and folks succumb to hustlers like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, hustlers after their own interests instead of the masses they pretend to serve. I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan who wasn’t going to win. And predictably he lost, so also our chance in the new administration. Lets not gloat. But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being Senate President. Igbos are very bad at politics. Fifty years after independence, they are yet to produce a president when others have taken multiple turns. Their answer is ? Blame others! If you only Hausas didn’t do this or Yorubas didn’t do that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our lot. And sadly it won’t stop until they learn to coexist with others instead of our ‘better than thou’ attitude when dealing with the Hausas and Yorubas. They are not better than anyone. Igbos don’t like the Hausas and same igbos don’t like the Yorubas, yet they populate their States in search for livelihood. They should let their politics mirror their economic aspirations, not the other way around. There is no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living, yet despise the Northerners. That’s being ungrateful. How long can this collective amnesia insulate the igbos from meaningfully seating at the table, making contributions to Nigeria’s political evolution? How long can this foolishness go on? How long? There is a miserable silence across the land today, because they are realizing that they were sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as Igbo leaders. Where are they? Anyone home? The ohameze group is a disgrace and must be wiped off for the igbos to move ahead |
usbcable:Gbam you said it all. I don't understand why they can't just come out plain to accept this as a fact. The igbos are the architect of their problems. |
dmz1:You are loosing it. Its about political calculations not luck. |

saintandsinnerz:That's your problem, insulting your antagonist when there is no need for one |
NnamdiN:Lol. Am also neither Igbo. And need less I remind you, there is a difference between truth and Partial truth |
saintandsinnerz:I see anger written all over your face. Just know this, an Igbo man will never! Never!! Never!!! Become the senate President. |
saintandsinnerz:And that is where you shot yourself with your Gun. For your info am neither Yoruba nor Hausa. |
EZEIGBO1OFIMO:Your last sentence still point to my episode where I say the Igbo man must forget the civil war to move ahead. That is if they want to move ahead |
EZEIGBO1OFIMO:By China Achebe? Telling me about the wrongs of Awolowo and how he committed genocide ![]() Why don't you read the " book why we struck ". Read it and understand. I read why we struck and I understand Chinua's point of view and his angle but you need to understand that for the igbos to be something today a lot of adjustment have to be made, and some story in Chinua Achebe book have no principle to guide the igbos towards this. |
This man should be careful with this country and give the naira value and stop ranting because we do not know why he id devaluing the lives of people in this country every day! As bad as people claim Abacha was, he is the only most recent president who gave us monetary value of $1 to N22 using the Minister of Finance Ani and Gouma as central bank governor.!!! They are all around and where we do not know we should as questions. Economics that values our lives for nothing against countries which produce nothing but have stronger currencies is bad economics and failed economics. I wish I could use my naira to pay for books in London, in New York or in Paris. If Nigerians and their foreign friends in Nigeria cannot use our legal tender (the naira) as medium of exchange, they are unwittingly becoming willing slaves of the 21st century. The way things are going, it is a matter of time before the country implodes. Any attempt to tame Nigerians and foreigners must start with taming the political class of which Jonathan is the first among equals. Spare no corrupt politician, spare no rod. I believe with bihari as president you will do this. |
ekenedegreat:You may had wondered why the IGBOS are too resilient in their plight to be wealthy but never resilient in their unity as one. They only unite in the face of oppression but when it comes to personal desires, they fight and kill each other. The Uba brothers fought themselves during OBJ's regime for the governorship of Anambra, no elder, or royalty waded into their fight, rather they took sides. Peter Obi dominated APGA for a very long time, APGA being the only concentrated IGBO party couldnt even get majority vote of any SENATORIAL SEAT or HOUSE OF REPS, lets excuse DELTA STATE because they claim not to be refered to as IGBO. Rochas and Peter Obi fell apart when ones ambition was not in line with the other. So Rochas moved to APC to see if he could realise his dreams. Eventually Peter Obi left APGA to PDP. It is only fo.o.Ls (Igbos) that would forget history and try to use the present situation to steal some points. In Imo state the PDP has ruled and stolen money that Imo state was never developed. They said Imo state does not have money. But today we see changes being done there. why would they want PDP to come and rule. If you love development, if you feel you deserve development as an IGBO person. If you feel the money meant to build your state is being stolen by certain group of people who would deceive you they have your interest at heart. Its better you stand up and tell your igbo clans that enough is enough. That you all no longer want to be treated as foo.L's. For this to be actualize you all need to forget the hatred of the 1967-69 Civil war by General Gowon and start thinking towards the future, start thinking about accepting and mixing up with other tribes. I hope you all have realised from the recent held election that the Igbo is irrelevant in Nigerian Politics of today. You all can't do it alone. A word they say is enough for the wise. I rest my case. ymodulus |

talktrue1:Thank you well said. The IGbos are not relevant in today's politics. We have seen that. |
DukeNija:no hatred just truth I speak. |
PointB:I can see anger written all over you. Mr pointB get it, NEVER WILL AN IGBO MAN be SENATE PRESIDENT. If you some like my comment, pretend you never saw it. |
PointB:Never Igbos sold their right already. Never will an ihbo man be there. Never never never |
Amaechi is one of the few respectable southerner. That don't think like the Igbo's majority. He his an Hero, A respectable leader. And a role Model. |
tosyne2much:You don't need to be scared. The moment you realise that those religionist are scammers you will understand that you are powerful than they are. Btwn, where Apostle fire man? |
Sibrah:Am ashamed of delta state. Where is Festus keyamo , what party does he belong too?. Where is the great ogburugburu? |

Oooh Kashamu the Drug Baron. I never called him that. oBJ did. Its nice, your congratulation message, received. Please when will FFK congratulate GMB? |
Gbawe:In fact reading your analysis gave me hope as regards Niger state. I was really scared it will be rigged in favour of the PDP governorship aspirant in person of Umar Nasko against the APC aspirant ( Abu Sani Bello lolo ) , but now I have hope. Also I do like to ask , who is APC governorship aspirant for Delta state? |
oyb:Wow. How did you guys arrive to that? |
oyb:lol!! You funny. Let's just leave barcanista I believe he now understands his errors. Ooo I miss Beaf , @ Gbawe where is this guy call beat? He was a hardened supporter of GEJ during the 2011 elections. |
