bergs2: There were also reports by some of his old friends that his father was a taxi driver in Nigeria. The PUNCH could, however, not independently verify this.
Nigeria and her "charge and bail journalism"
A UK media could substantiate that Hushpuppi traded on used clothes on Nigerian soil, but our own media could not substantiate whether his Father was a taxi-driver. Their only concern is to publish bogus headline to make money. This failure is monumental! Shame on this media house. U dey mind them? |

Unless you want to replace the 'Internet' with a tightly controlled 'Intranet' , which by the way would make it difficult for your country to be integrated with the world's economic, scientific and cultural network, you won't get what you want.
The internet, and the advent of portable IT devices and things like VPN have virtually made it difficult for people like you to maintain virtual morality.
The Iranians and Saudis and North Koreans have tried what you are proposing. And it's not working.
The horses have long since left the stables. You can only manage the consequences. Not control them. Oh ok |

Reference: Any parent sending their baby to daycare at this point in time should have his head examined. That is tantamount to sinning against God.
Though I pity the education industry particularly the private sector but the situation is clear. If the reopening is rushed and not thought through and prepared for adequately I forsee a cascade of litigations if mass infections are recorded and God forbid casualties especially amongst the younger students.
We should be cerebral not emotional about this and lend a hand to those whose jobs and businesses are suffering as a result of the pandemic. . |

tungamaje: Does it mean if it takes 20 years to find a COVID vaccine, our kids should be kept 'safe' at home? Even some of them are losing interest in education,
they prefer playing around. But this is not good for their future, so those campaigning that schools should not re-open, what do you suggest we do about the future of these kids? Oh I forgot. Somebody advised that we should channel them back to farming as did our ancestors You are absolutely right about this, Reason being I asked two kids that I'm teaching about resumption of school and also enquired from them that did they missed school? There answer was no. The conversation went thus; Me : " zaynab did you missed school, and your friends in school?" Zaynab : "no" Me : "do you now like the way you are staying @ home?" Zaynab : " yes o, I don't even want to go to school again" Me: haaaa, u don't what? Me: "why don't you want to go to school again?" Zaynab : "I want to be playing" I was shocked when I heard her say that, because she was really serious about it. Same thing applies to the second one, that one even said school should not open again for life that she wants to be watching cartoon and be playing around, that any time I come to her, I deprive of her of watching cartoon and playing |
