EducationRe: Are Philip Emeagwali's Claims Fraudulent? by Ynot(m): 10:46am On Dec 17, 2006
He (Emeagwali) can clear this up by providing evidence of his claims. He has since refused to be interviewed on this topic. As for Oyibo and his GAGUT theory, i kinda believe him. People don't accept what don't make sense to them. No one believed Einstein's Special Relativity theory in 1905 but as time went by, most people began to accept his reasoning and gave him credit for his work. Now, Ronald Mallett and others people are seriously thinking about building time machine.

Foreign AffairsRe: Should George Bush Also Face Trial? by Ynot(m): 11:16pm On Dec 08, 2006
As much as i dislike Saddam, the only sane course of action is to punish him appropriately for his "sins", give him his old job back and US most profound apologies. He is the only guy in Iraq that speaks the kind of language those shiites and sunnis understand.
TV/MoviesRe: Movie Recommendation Thread by Ynot(m): 11:06pm On Dec 08, 2006
TerraCotta:
Who liked "O Brother, Where Art Thou"?
Loved the movie and the very classic I am a man of constant sorrow sound track.

Have you guys seen the movie Contact? It came out in '97. If you are a sci-fi fan and want to 'see' aliens in other forms than hollywood-biased rubber-suits threatening to blow up the world, you got to watch that movie.

Now, before you give me lecture on old movies, remember there are no old movie just movies you've not seen.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Where's Odeku? by Ynot(m): 11:55pm On Dec 03, 2006
Jakumo:
Latest rumours crossing my desk indicate that Odeku has left the Windy City under the cover of darkness, to spearhead an audacious air-raid on that fortified round hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, the lair of The Evil Genius.

Satellite imagery clearly shows anti-aircraft batteries in position on the mansion's front lawn, ostensibly to meet the challenge, and the Genius himself has reportedly fled into his underground bunker to coordinate a response to the anticipated kamikaze attack. Numerous imams and spiritualists have been spotted milling about the mansion gates.
LOL. You na Polin Powell? Here is the satellite image. If you look closely, you will 'see' Odeku hiding behind the bushes.

PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Will Run As Apga Flagbearer Again! by Ynot(m): 9:25am On Dec 03, 2006
I believe every Nigerian (as long as you ain't convicted of a crime), has a right to contest for the president of the country if he/she wish to do so. The decision to vote for him/her is yours. My only concern is that he will split the votes of the Igbos and probably south-easterners between him and another PDP nominated candidate (if any) from south-east. And we all know what that means - power once again, back to the northerners.

On a side note, heard Chimaroke Nnamani (current governor of Enugu State) won PDP senatorial primary in Enugu. Now, this is the guy that need to quit politics, go home and practice his medical profession. He can always get a piece of land and start farming to complement his wage.

Mind you, I am 100% Igbo heart and soul.
Being a yorubanized Igbo has nothing to do with it. Discuss people not tribes.
