Same situation here. Wish o could teleport some Calgary homes to Mississauga.
I also noticed that there are many more Options in Brampton compared to Mississauga
Check www.zolo.ca
I want to know how to get subsidy for daycare, two of my three kids are under 5
Cc @blackbuddy, @maternal

Ayoboy1:
These are my fears exactly. We are landing in a few weeks in Mississauga and all I can see are 2-bedrooms basements for 1000-1300. I also have energetic kids and I can’t even think. When I check places like Alberta and I see houses for the same price it’s hard to make a case for Ontario except you are fixed on working in the financial sector. Elders in the house please help a harried Mom on how to navigate this pressing matter!

You can use his USA passport, from what i learnt yesterday they will fish out the usa passport details anyway once his birth certificate shows he was born there. You can choose to also get him a Nign passport and use that if you prefer

Seniors in the House. Reverse pull- over small, no waka pass the post.

Pple pls weigh in- i appreciate all contributions in advance

Pls a friend was asked to submit many docs for ADR and prove his self employment which he didnt gain points for.
Tax clearance/cert for his nysc year job and the self employed job. I Told him to get tax clearance in LIRS- hopefully its out before the 15days deadline- I hope that the fact that the date on the tax clearance card will have is recent or after the ADR wont affect it.

He was also asked for statement showing salary payments. The company paid into account few times, they paid by cash most of the time. It's a one-man business - he has just 4 salary payment inputs btw 2011 to 2012, every other payment was by cash- i told him to tell the proprietor of the business to write stating that he was paid by cash most of the time thus no payslips n just 4 inputs of salary via acc. - will this suffice in addition to him swearing an affidavit that he was paid by cash more often than being paid in his account- ID card is no longer in his possession as company collects it whenever anyone resigns.

He was also asked to provide ID cards and additional proof of employment.

Family composition has not changed and my marital status is still same. Is it necessary to fill the imm0008 and additional family info requested in the PPR letter?

Just so we know
Today I learnt that you can recieve PPR in two ways. I got a direct email in my email addy from- cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca OR get an email telling you there is an update in ur cic acc where you download the golden mail.
I got curious when @bbaby84 posted that she got an email prompting her to check her cic acc.
Compared both and the only difference is the barcode, everything else is the same and consistent.

I planned to do this but when the immigration guy said one month and me i had an agreement with God that my Application must come before my baiday which was less than a month. I respected my self and maintained the name as it was and i got PPR request in 28days, i probably would have been waiting for the new passport now if i had applied to change my name. However situations differ, do what you think is best for you.

Omonjoe:
I am planning to change her her intl passport and also update cic on dt. I think is easier now than when she is already in Canada

Our application:
Hubby is the PA but still I handled everything from WES to POF.
I had a bout of insomnia at some point ( thanks to FBI as I submitted one set of fingerprints.) Thanks to @yokus for helping me stay sane lol
I used the LOE to list and explain all we had submitted. I submitted xe pages to convert our POF and lock it down. I submitted pictures of my sibling and I at different points of our lives ( I claimed points for Canadian sibling) including specified documents (mortgage bills, driver's license, passport, marriage certificate etc)

When we finally submitted we were asked for travel history for hubby and resident permit for the years he lived in the UK. (This shook me as hubby had 5-6 years in the UK where he had no resident permit) We explained the issues with home office on a letter and the issues he had with his Uni and fees etc and he still had to finish his school since he had eventually sorted out school fees but Home Office still refused to renew the visa. After his studies he came home. I scanned and uploaded previous permits, school ID and fees receipt for his MSC. We told the truth (long and short).
Then I found out we had been transferred to London, I thought 'oh boy!'

When I got the message to check the CIC account today, I thought what do they want now? Alas! It was PPR.

I wish everyone the best on this journey.

Calling it a problem is an understatement.
We judge pple based on their beliefs and religious choices, honestly it is very very disturbing.

Thanks alot @Slowlybtsurely, @azed1 ah just what if.

SlowlybtSurely:
You can take out private insurance for the 3 month waiting period. The cheapest I saw was around $400 for a family of 4. Can't even remember the name again.

However, there are a few clinics that take in uninsured immigrants/refugees. Below are some of them. Take note of the hours/days of operation and check the ones that are walk-ins or appointment only.

Also, if you stay in Mississauga or Brampton areas, there is a non-profit organisation called Four Corners. It covers you for 90 days till u get your health coverage. Link below:

http://www.fourcornershealthcentre.ca/programs/primary-health-care.html

One can only pray not to have any serious ish that will require referral to a hospital or use of ambulance. That can set one back by some thousands.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by yokus(f): 8:55am On Nov 20, 2017
So ive read that it take atleast 3months to get Health card in Toronto. Pls Seniors how much is private health insurance that will cover the 3months wait period? Or what options are available.
