The teenage girl with access to the internet notices this trend and before you know it, education and goals takes the back seat. . . All she thinks about is slaying for the gram, finding a rich guy to cling to which is basically the fastest way to a better life.

Trust me ma'am, society has messed with the girl child. The writer is reluctant to have a daughter not because girls are bad but because training them to be different from the average female in this 21st century takes a lot of work, you have to constantly worry if she's hanging out with the right crowd, her social media accounts, and all the dìcks flying her way.
At least with a male, all you have to worry about is one dìck.
