iamGraced: Well, I guess deep down a lot of Americans are still racist and extremists n are not to comfortable with the deep rooted freedom accorded to Hispanics, Muslims and black immigrants, and the perceived competition from them.
Let's say for example Lagos state are to have an election and a candidate says "I would flush out all Igbos (omo nna"s) and Northerner (mallams) & restore Lagos state glory again (forgetting that those omo nna's are one of the core reasons why the state had developed so, and the other candidate agreed to policies that would aid the immigrant Lagosians, deep down who do you think the core Lagosians n Yoruba would vote for??
The truth is that the world is still filled with so much hate, no matter how much ppl try to fake it...
Madam president dream would come true very soon I know, it may even start from me grin Are you filled with hate? The last statement, does it imply you just want a female president regardless of the kind of person, what if their personalities were vice versa? You'd still gun for her right? The world is not as simple as you may think it is. There are no saint leaders. One just has to choose the perceived lesser evil. Do you also know there are black people and hispanics voted for Trump, we shouuldnt be selfish here when analysing, cos its obvious all people care about is that he will send people away lol. its Obvious that Immigration is people's problem. |

Politics › Americans Google 'how Do I Emigrate?' As Searches For 'end Of The World' Rise by yorex2011(op): 7:42am On Nov 09, 2016 |
Shii beginning to get real lolz Panicked Americans are researching how to emigrate online after early election results pointed to a shock election victory for Donald Trump. There was an explosion in search traffic on Google for terms such as "emigrate" and "how to emigrate to Canada" following the announcement of a series of victories in key swing states for the Republican nominee. Huge numbers of internet surfers worldwide also began googling the phrase "end of the world" when the news broke. And in Canada, the government's website crashed after it was inundated with visitors apparently researching how to become Canadian citizens. Mr Trump now stands before a clear path to election victory, having won the election battlegrounds of Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. Modified: And most recently Pennsylvania http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/09/americans-google-how-do-i-emigrate-as-searches-for-end-of-the-wo/

Education › Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by yorex2011: 1:57pm On Oct 22, 2016 |
hirschfelder: Good day people,
I have followed this thread for quite a while now, gained a lot from it and owe a lot to everyone who has contributed here. I recently sat for the GRE and my scores were quite good. It wouldn't have been possible if I didn't get guidance and directions from y'all. I got Q166 V166, analytical scores not out yet, praying for something good (I'm not much of a writer). I would like to give a brief summary of my studying pattern or experience, I feel I owe it to those yet to take their exams; some may find it useful. I studied for roughly 2.5 months with intensive studying in the last two weeks to the exam. I started with Kaplan, then Manhattan books and finished with the ETS official guides. Each week, I took full-length tests to gauge my level of preparedness (If you have good internet connection, this would be really helpful to develop your own pacing methods). I used the Magoosh vocabulary app and their e-book to learn new words, they were really helpful over a month or so. That's just about all I did.
Thanks once again for all the help guys. Nicely done man!!!! |
