So I was having a chat with my alter ego the other day about MMM and sort to get another mind's view on the subject and believe me the conversation was quite exciting. So I'll just drop a summary of what was discussed. The first thing that sprung up was that the scheme (and the website) did not fall from heaven, it did not design itself, it had an intelligent designer and as such can be twisted, turned and warped by that same designer. Is MMM fraudulent or "scammy"? General consensus - NO we are not paying into a central account, we do peer to peer transactions so no it cannot be fraudulent. A deeper thought - It can be fraudulent as you do not know who you are paying, you could as well be paying to the owner of the website and you wouldnt know. But people will become suspicious if payment is made to one account na New twist- What if he had multiple accounts and multiple "moles" that he plants into the system. think of this scenario, they claim to offer 10% bonus on referrals, so people become smart and call their friends who nare not interested and say can i ise your account number for MMM, he agrees and eventually they make 10% on "their own money" as well as normal 30%, there are people who do these with up to 5 accounts. Now if a normal participant can do this probably without even settling his friends for using their accounts, what do you think the admin can do especially if he now gives his minions some percentage for using their accounts. Well you can agree that this is a huge possibility. Imagine someone coming to tell you that he just needs to use your account and you get 10% of all moneys paid into it. Tell me how many of you will say no. general consensus 2 - Ok fine, he has multiple accounts of people under his payroll, but they still have to PH to eventually GH na deeper thought - Remember what i said about intelligent designer, the laziest and simplest way for him to do this, just go to the database and edit their available mavro and set it to whatever he likes, then they just login and GH lol. the shii you can do if you have access to a database . There are other ways to go about this, but this is by far the simplest and least stressful. Imagine i just have access to nairabet database and edit my available funds ![]() general consensus 3- - Ok fine, the guy dey chop wella, but people have made money from it, poverty has been lifted off people's lives, its been a blessing. What you gon say about that?? deeper thought - Imagine you go to a party and they say everybody bring your drinks, there is a huge drum and everybody pours his own drinks inside. Then everyone is entitle to a cup. Everyone start scooping and drinking, including those that didnt even bring drinks in the first place, before you know people stop coming and drink come finish. then a fight springs up, in Orubebe's voice** I CANT TAKE THIS!!!!, WHAT NONSENSE?? ME THAT BROUGHT DRINK I NO EVEN SEE ONE CUP TAKE AND THE DRUM DON EMPTY, WHAT NONSENSE, then those that have become drunk after drinking and drinking start calming the bros down and saying next time, those one go home having drank to their hearts content, while the rest go home unhappy, the next time a party happens, our orubebe guy comes with a posioned drink and pours into the drum, lemme just stop there.. There is no external money coming into the scheme, if anything eventually happen you that GH will be happy , but the person that GH will be sad and dejected and that isnt how life is supposed to be, you may think you are wise for foreseeing the collapse and pulling out when you did, but that is the same thing with yahoo yahoo guys, they are smarter than their prey... Every body may gather to chastise a politician for stealing, but there are people who benefit from the stealing and they are the ones who will defend the man and protect him to the end, that doesnt make him a saint now does he. whatever we do with our money doesn't concern others. but when we gather to make a few people rich off our hard earned money, then there may be a problem somewhere. Let the world not see us as a group of black people who all sheepishly follow something that kills us at the end, our reputation will be destroyed and you may say its your money but your kids may be labeled descendants of fools and gullible people when they grow old, so appreciate let us not call the critics witches or wizards... if it comes back fine, if it doesnt fine at least we were not all sheepish neither were we all adamant critics, enjoy the diversity. Ant thoughts on the january ish general consensus 4 - Uncertain, participants are split between thoughts deeper thought - Your money isnt in any safe hands, its not anywhere, it is with someone who may want to ph, remember when you were PHing, it was in your control, now your money isnt in your control anymore, it depends on that guy who may or may not decide to PH. the certainty of your money is even further hurt by the panic going on right now, so my advise is to keep calm, your money may or may not come, its now a complete gamble, like sports betting. only consolation at least was that it was spare money This issue shouldnt even be an issue sef, anybody that does sports betting knows that with each bet his money is gone and may not come back, he has already accepted the fact that his money not in his hands anymore. Thats how the issue shouldve been with MMM. At least one hardly sees guys lamenting over lost sport bets God bless Nigeria, and I hope things get better next year |
Alright.. Ok.. |
I swear, I'm ashamed of Seun and his team. What sort of travesty is this? the news doesnt even make sense |
A casket maker prays to God to bless his business, and make him prosper. Does that make him a bad person? He records more sales the more people die, but does that make him a "wizard"? I don't think it does, why? because death is inevitable... People aren't witches or wizards because we criticize a money making scheme that people are making money from. They are not praying that it will cause people misfortune, they are only stating an inevitability that has been confirmed over and over and over again as history has shown. When someone tells you a building built on sand will collapse, it may not be because the person doesn't want your progress especially seeing that you can only afford sand at the moment, but because he has seen buildings made of sand collapse over and over and over again. no matter the color or shape the sand comes in. sharp sand, beach sand, smooth sand, etc. Criticism has really changed the world in many ways, it allows us to see things differently, to solve problems and think of better ways to do things. No one prays for death, but yet it is inevitable, anyone wishing you death may be a bad fellow, but that doesn't mean you won't die some day. Let us assume everyone in Nigeria accepts something and everyone does it without any aorta of opposition. If that thing backfires and everyone is burned. The rest of the world will forever label Nigerians a bunch of gullible, senseless, unintelligent set of people. And our Image may be not be the same for a long time to come. Lets not embarrass ourselves When people criticised the movie "gods of Egypt", I'm sure the Director must have labeled the critics witches and wizards who want to put sand sand in his garri Well, the movie cost 140 million to make, and since the movie came out they've only managed to realize 150 million from revenue.. |
wizzakosh:This world is too small to be judging what I wrote sir, My first sentence says "not as much as i'd like", meaning i wish to impact lives but I have limitations which I'm not happy about. Everyone has something to offer sir, everyone.. Please point out where I wrote rubbish, but if truly I speak truth then why do you smite/attack me sir? Is there a chance that my calm replies are angering you, I speak calmly because I want to be seen as a reasonable person, but why would you reply with such venom. This life is too short sir. Do have some calmness and respect when speaking with people. |
wizzakosh:Not as much as I'd like.. But you can open a thread and ask, so you'll judge from the replies, at least the replies will be from strangers alone. What about you? How many lives have you touched? |
ewosk:It's just a story bro. |

Head first in Java is very good. Also Java how to program |
All you wrote up there too long..Simpler reasons below 1. Anybody doing MMM obviously has money to spare, the real people who need help are there languishing. 2. Friends hardly borrow friends money now cos they'll rather invest it in MMM. Now if you can't genuinely help a friend because of MMM, then is it the person you are paying into his account that probably has millions worth of mavro that you are helping? 3. People with money won't even help assist or fund startups, of course why would they invest in the humble startup of a fellow nigerian who is struggling to make a name for himself when they can put the money in MMM and get 30% monthly. 4. There are a lot of brilliant minds who need people to fund their Ideas, but instead Nigerians would prefer MMM. Have you ever wondered why there are no crowdsourcing companies in Nigeria. 5. Truth is This MMM is not helping anything, they should just rename it to Provide money and receive money dazall. If the stuffs fold up now, People will be crying up and down , but one shouldnt be cryiong when he "helps" someone out of the magnanimity of his heart now should he? I don't have any issue with anybody o. but that providing "help" is kinda misleading, another name wouldve been better if the scheme collapses, what will you tell the person who calls you saying that he was the one who gave you help last week and that you should help him, even if is just 10 percent of what he paid you, saying it was all the money he had or maybe one he cudnt afford to lose. You'll prolly say wrong number and warn him not to call you again. Then he'll drop his phone and from then on anything cam happen, depending on how weak his heart is |

1. Be wary of your personal space and those of others. Don't stand too close to people and be mindful of people who get too close to you. These pickpockets have crazy ways of stealing from you. It can also protect you from wrong allegations. Imagine you are standing very close to someone and maybe the person misplaced something, believe me you are gonna be the accused for the crime, and just an allegation alone can get you killed. But keeping some distance would at least prevent such. Personal space should be at least 50cm. Be careful of people who invade your space. 2. Increase your awareness level. Be aware of your immediate environment, reduce the headphones and earpiece stuff while walking on the street. When you are aware of your environment you can easily detect things that are out of place, such as people shouting, running etc. 3. Know your environment: One should know the type of environment you live in, how dangerous it can get in certain times and also places one shouldn't ever even think of going to. That story of the Alafia area close to Orile serves as a perfect example. 4. Reduce you Night movement to the barest minimum: This is a classic safety precaution. in a place where people do all sorts of terrible things in broad daylight, imagine what they would do at night. 5. Be careful how you use your mobile Phones in public transport and also while walking on the street. If possible keep them in your bag, or in your most secure pockets. 6. If you have a wallet, aside from keeping your money inside, keep some little change in your pockets, just in case your wallet gets missing, you can at least still get home. Instead of begging which might make cause more harm than good for you if you are not careful. 7. VERY IMPORTANT: Be careful of things you say in public places especially in the following areas; Religion, Politics, Ethnic stuffs, You never know whose listening. Everyone and I repeat EVERYONE has psychopathic and violent tendencies. Difference is certain people choose too suppress theirs, while others don't. Folks who have had bitter experiences can share their stories and lessons they learnt from it. |
