It's an expression that means a girl in your life can be your ruination. Naturally ladies bring their emotional, financial, physical and any other form of problem to men in exchange for their love, support and body.

Men have to be most careful when choosing a girl to be with, if you don't have a future with her quickly have your way and dump her, Never keep her for too long because of your future.

A woman's world revolve around men while a man's world revolve around the world.

Be wise
Thanks a lot for exposing this Gospel truth, some girls can bring so much bad energy into your success too.

Politics › Re: We Igbos Are The Most Confused Creatures On Earth by Yoshy: 8:07pm On Sep 22, 2017
cornel00:
We igbos are the problem to ourselves.
Once upon a time, i was made to see Yoruba people as my main enemy in this, country but not anymore.
Yes we can brag about our commercial exploits, education, talents, wealth, personalities but we lack unity.
Out of all the tribes in this country, Igbos are the most greedy, wicked, heartless, and selfish set of creatures.
I am a confirm onye igbo, born and brought up in the north, i am typing this because of the IPOB crisis here in the east. It's hard for me to admit but the truth must be told. I asked myself yesterday night;
If we are to get biafra what will come next?
Are we ready to be independent?
Do we have the resources to survive?
Is there love among ourselves?
After analysing all these, i come to conclusion that biafra is the worst that will happen to an igbo man, biafra will be a place where hatred is the order of the day, we are always the ones playing the victim card, we call Yoruba people all sorts of derogatory names, we blame everyone one in this country except ourselves. It was a Yoruba family that welcomed and gave me shelter in GBOKO BENUE STATE the year i was posted there for my jamb exam (you can hardly see an igbo man do this for his brother, let alone a stranger) my best secondary school teacher is a Yoruba man, we lack hospitality and love among ourselves.
I didn't know about this until i left north for east, an igbo man will rather sell his brother for a plate of porridge out of greed
We call Hausa this and that yes i don't even like them (the truth must be told), their religious and ethnic intolerance is something else, but we are not better either, we have made our land less convenient for our people that's why you see igbos investing outside igbo land. You will buy land in igboland and all the kinsmen in that community will try to feast on your pocket.
Yes we have most of the most corrupt politicians in this country. Those bastar.ds we call our leaders are the ones we supposed to hold accountable, Nigeria is not our problem, Yoruba people are the only people we can team up with, they are the only one we can ally with.
I use to ask myself why most of my trusted friends are not igbos, it's not a coincidence. It is from experience.
In 2015 i relocated from the north to the east, up till now I'm still regretting my decision, i will rather die elsewhere than to be consumed by hatred in igbo land. My maternal grandfather who is supposed to welcome me home, despite all the tenants that are paying him, could not let me stay in one of his rooms. My grandfather!!
My advice to my fellow igbos is that we should eliminate hatred in our lives, only then we can come together and think of the way forward.
My write up may lack proper contruction, as long as I've shared my thoughts I'm OK.
As for biafra matter, me and my household and extended family say no to biafra.
I stand for one united South in one Nigeria.
Long live south east
Long live south west
Long live south south
Long live Nigeria
PEACE!

You're are lazy, it's only people like you that say this kind of rubbish. No body owes you anything, Igbos Don't need people like you. You proved yourself to be exactly the type that will sell his brother for a bottle of kunu and kwulikwuli. You're not ashamed!

The fact that he is being elusive and not even picking up or returning calls is cause for concern. I don't know if men find it particularly difficult to return money they borrow from their women because most of the women i have related with never get their money back.

The men either disappear or start trying to use love and marriage to cover up. They could even become abusive towards her, saying she is not a virtuous woman...blah blah blah.
Let him borrow from his friends instead or they sign a contract with witnesses.
In my case, a girl did exactly all you mentioned.

There's always a difference between being taught politics by a veteran politician and "stumbling" into politics. Bukky has been nurtured for political position since he was in his mother's womb. His father, obviously was the alpha and Omega of kwara state politics right from the first start. Coupled with the fact that he's naturally brilliant and intelligent. We in Ilorin have a long way to go b4 we rescue ourselves from the Jaws of Bulky, save not, we'll end in his belly.
Hahaha! I give it to Bukky, the man have survived what most couldn't.

Immee:
Hello fellow nairalanders, pls advise needed on this issue.

My bf and I have been together for a while now and planning on having our marriage introduction by November and marriage proper early next year.

Im an independent woman with a gud job. As a matter of fact, ive never made any financial request from this guy though he buys gift for me without requesting. He is doing well financially too, he runs a recycling factory while I work with a manufacturing company.

Things are working well between us since the relationship started untill recently when we had some business deals together ( my opinion though) cos I don't understand him anymore. He was broke at that time and needed to get some materials which he never budgeted for. He requested that I invest in his company by paying for those materials since they're coming cheap and he doesn't have enough to get them at that time and wouldn't want to loose the opportunity. I consented to the idea cos I knew he's business was very lucrative and that I'll get my money back with interest. He promised to be paying me a weekly dividend so I thought of giving 1 million naira. I made an instant transfer of 500k to his account as dts the maximum I can do daily without a token and I wasn't with it then.

The 2nd day dt I was suppose to send the remaining money, some issues occurred in his company in my presence. He had some major issues with some of the equipments in his factory. He had to stop productions for some days. So i with held the balance as it wont be neccesary since there was no production. While repairs were ongoing? I had to liase with some of my junior colleagues at work who are engineers to help my bf cos I found out he's engineer's aren't capable of handling the situation as dts the first time he would experience such. As God will have it operations started back in few days with the support of my engineers.

My concern now is since things went back to normal in my bf compan' he's yet to keep to his promise of the weekly dividend he said I would be receiving from the investment. As a matter of fact , things has changed between us cos he no longer call and hardly pick my calls. I communicate with him mostly thru SMS now since he wouldn't pick my calls. I'd sent messages to him to return my money without interest and he has promised to pay back with no time and date of when he's going to pay back. I even had plans of going to his place today since im off work so as to force him to go to the bank with him so DT I can get my money but he left the house early in the morning with excuses that he has a place to go and would return to my place after leaving there.

Pls guys how best can I get this money back from him cos I know he has it but playing pranks on me. I don't mind loosing my relationship with him as I don't trust him any longer.
I made a mistake of putting my money first in my relationship and it turned out bad. Forget the money for sometime, build the love back, try to understand his present situation. I understand he is not being emotionally available hence your concern about his loyalty, maybe he is stressed out cos of his situation, understand him first and if your findings proves he is out to dupe you, then you can use force to get your money back.
Business › Can One Become Very Wealthy Without Doing Anything Unethical? by Yoshy(op): 9:14pm On Sep 19, 2017
Cornelius Vanderbilt was ruthless in his rail road Business.

John D. Rockefeller has to play so many unethical Monopoly tricks in other to be the go-to guy in Oil Business back in the days.

Andrew Carnegie did worse with his steel Business

J.P. Morgan was known for hostile takeover, a term used for forceful acquisition of companies, mostly weak ones.

Bill gates and Microsoft stole from Apple during it's early stage, Steve Jobs cheated his workers out of their stock rights and is known for many brutal business actions.

Mark did it with Eduardo Savarin, the twin and host of others.

Donald Trump doesn't hide it, he proudly cherish the fact that he can best another even though it doesn't seem so ethical.

Back home Dangote, Adenuga, Odetola, Fulorunsho, Abdual Samad etc I'm 100% sure you can get many reasons to point fingers at them. This list could go on and on...

Even many milloniares are not left out of this.

I think it's logical to come to the conclusion that only those willing to do what's necessary no matter what (whether right, ethical, moral or not) stay at the top of the food chain.

If you have seen any wealthy person that have not done something unethical before, please share!

Hi fellow Nlanders

I was born into Catholic faith and practice till I was 12 and I enjoyed it. My parent became deeper life member while we were living apart and now a pastor in that church. I re-united with them when I was 12 and since then I've been attending the church with them and still attend Catholic occasionally....I love the preaching from the founder of deeper life as he preaches the bitter truth but I believe most other young pastor see d church "doctrine" as commandment and so must be kept 100%.....the founder of the church addressed this issue several times but NO.

18 years on since we re-united, I'm a graduate, married and living abroad but my father still forcing his believe and doctrine on me. I considered myself spiritual but not so religious. I connect with my God easily but not a 3G church guy.

He made me and my siblings antisocial and introverted simply because he believed we shouldn't be involved in any social activities even sports. I still remember being beaten for playing soccer, he believes we would be influenced badly. Watching TV was a crime especially movies.

Fast forward to yesterday he rang my wife to check on us but the first question he asked was if we attend to church. I told him it's been raining and temperature was really low....then he started lamenting asking if I won't go to work if it wasn't Sunday, complaining about the country where I can't worship God...then to get me more exasperated he asked and insisted I tell him how many time I've been to church lately and how many times I've read d bible....I told him we've been attending but he insisted on a number.

This got me so mad that I stood up for myself under a heavy breathe as I do not want to disrespect him or hangup on him.I told him I do not appreciate being asked questions like a 10 yrs old boy and at my age I should know how to live my life and what's best for me.....he got angry and said goodbye and I guess he was still on d phone but I didn't know...I just hang up.....Now I've block him from reaching me ... planning to change my numbers.....but not any financial support. Only cutting all communication with him but not with my siblings as they mean more to me and I wanna see them through as much as God help me...

Please is this not an over reaction because I loved him as he's a very responsible man who puts the family first and strived to make us who we are. But we do not av a close relationship because of his believe even though he's been forcing it.
Dear OP, if making sure I go to church or serve God was my fathers only crime, I would never, I repeat NEVER! Have a reason to make him sigh. Appreciate what you have, no matter how intruding he may appear to be, he means well, follow him with wisdom.

1. Stay healthy, aviod sexual relations with him, till he gets tested for STDs and retested after 6 months.

2. Confront him calmly, if he is not remorseful or willing to change. LEAVE the man, if he misses you and willing to turn a new life, apply step 1 if not progress to step 3.

3. Delete him from your life, not all marriages are made in heaven, if you can't delete him, then step 4 is your best option.

4. Pray, pray and pray, hopefully God will hear you and change him, step 1 still applies here.
