Orlu in Imo is far urbanized than Nsukka.

No serious political engagement from other political parties.

Even APGA lost interest in Enugu style of archaic and boring politics with no suspense.

Once you secure PDP ticket in Enugu, no need for campaign.

Rating University graduates higher than graduates of school of Nursing is a mistake in my own opinion.

You should equally advocate med lab technicians to be earning dsame amount with medlab scientists, dental technician earning same with dentists, pharmacy technician earning same with pharmacists.

Pray for accreditation before you graduate. Once you get accreditation by NUC, Nursing council will come inspect for accreditation. If passed, you can then be allowed to index and subsequently sit NMCN exams.

How's the pharmacy? They started recently too.

No university in Nigeria is cult free.
But since after Chimaroke tenure elapsed, cult activities reduced drastically in Esut.

We have nursing diagnosis and it's from it we make care plans according to the patients illness and equally draft goals to achieve after rendering care.
Note > nursing diagnosis is different from medical diagnosis though they are related.

I am preparing my wife's brother to practice nursing in UK but the guy's stupidity and sturbboness have not allowed him to focus. He just finished his degree in Psychology and I want him to enroll for masters in psychiatric nursing in Nigeria after which he could try his luck overseas.

Ur bros wife can't practice as a nurse with masters degree.
He need to do basic nursing courses, sit and pass council exams and be registered to practice.
You can enroll him in school of nursing or register jamb for him to enter university and study nursing science.

We are the pioneer set. It's not been easy as we are made to do virtually all the medical courses even those we don't need because we are still fighting for accreditation.
But I am glad did all those courses.

Are we going to be allowed to sit for council exam without NUC accreditation?

No fewer than 15,049 nurses trained in Nigeria obtained licence to practise in the United Kingdom within a period of five years spanning from March 2017 to March 2021, The PUNCH has learnt.

This was disclosed in a report obtained from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of the UK on Tuesday in Abuja.

Our correspondent observed that Nigeria is the third highest country with foreign nurses in England coming after the Philippines and India.

The NMC is the UK body responsible for the registration of professionals eligible to practise in the UK. The body also investigates concerns about nurses, midwives and nursing associates.

In the report, the NMC said, “The number of people on the permanent register in England who trained outside the European Economic Area continues to grow. As of March 2017, the body stated that 2,670 Nigerian nurses registered on the register. In March 2018, the body noted that 2,678 registered between March 2017 and March 2018.

“March 2019 saw a record of 2,771 while the number of nurses who registered between March 2019 and March 2020 increased to 3,205. Within this period, the body noted that it opened a temporary COVID-19 register to accommodate nurses willing to practise.”
Alhough the body did not state the number of Nigerian nurses on the temporary COVID-19 register, it stated that between March 2020 and March 2021, a total of 3,725 Nigerian nurses registered and were granted licenses.
The PUNCH reports that on the list, Nigeria comes third in the list of foreign countries with nurses practicing in the UK coming after The Philippines and India.

The PUNCH reports that the Nigerian health sector is currently facing challenges in the area of brain drain as medical doctors and other health workers have continued to migrate over the years due to what experts tagged as “unfavorable” working conditions.

The discrimination that exists in Laboratory Sciences are not heard of. But the Biochemist, Laboratory. Technician, microbiologist etc working in the hospital will rather contribute money to fight against the doctors than to seek equality in theor department first.

Biochemistry is different from Medlab.
1)One is under faculty of natural science while one is in faculty of medical sciences .
2) Biochemistry is 4yrs course while medlab is 5yrs.
3) medlab have knowledge of Anatomy, biochemistry and physiology which biochemistry graduates lack.
Most nurses are clinically sound than physicians and it still won't make them to cut corners to start practicing as a physician.

Nigerian University Nursing Students Association expreses her disapproval over the recent review of the hazard allowance which excluded nursing internships.
And equally placed nursing internships on same salary with Dental therapist, Dietitians and lab scientists.
Nurses spent 5yrs in university with other medical professionals and we don't go on break from 200L.
It's either you are in school or hospital for clinicals.
Why must we be placed on the same salary with graduates from college of health?
This is very unfair and need to be addressed because it's killing the quality of health care delivery in Nigeria.
70% of nursing students in different schools are not willing to practice in Nigeria due to all this ill treatments.

I have seen a thread on Facebook were JS3 students that have no knowledge about ordinary Biology, chemistry and physics were sent to one yeye hospital to learn Nursing.
Instead of Nigerians to rise and condemn it, they were busy attacking the man that video n queried the children.
Funny reasons Nigerian were giving is that they are catching them young.
Nursing have become carpentry work one should just wake up and start learning in Nigeria.

I make free calls from my glo line to all networks. Sometimes, I do have upto 30k bonus for calls. I only recharge for data and use the bonus for calls and Glo internet services have never failed me.
I have MTN but recharging it is like wasting my money on irrelevant stuff.

I searched and found a State University, ESUT, their cut off mark is 180 +, but it's expensive to study in that school.
I really need to get admission this year, because spending another one year at home isn't funny at all.
I don't even know if I should start preparing for the Screening exam or not.

Esut is expensive but it's still not among the most expensive state university in Nigeria.
You only Gat to spend a lot in 100L but subsequently, you only pay tuition fees n other minor departmental dues.
Esut will give you computer engineering if you put them 1st choice n score upto 180 in putme.
Just arrange like 300k for 1st year.
125k for school fees.
25k acceptance fee.
15k matriculation fee.
50k development levy.
Then ur accommodation choices determines what u will spend for accommodation.

Oga Glo network is indeed poor, you probably have good network signal in your location.

I have been to several other locations and still got decent signal even in remote villages.

All of them have strong and weak coverages. Just get a network that have good coverage in your location and rest. It will shock you that glo is stronger than mtn and airtel here.

I have been using Glo for 6yrs now and they they have been serving me very well. I spend less in glo than any other network. I am a movie freak and I download n stream movies with my glo network. It doesn't take me more than 5-10 minutes to download movies and sometimes 2-3 minutes if it's early morning.
I bet you that 50% of ppl on Glo matters have never used the network b4. They are just following the trend cos they see others condemning the network.

Exactly, my brother that is gay, there is no kind of deliverance and prayer we have not gone for backed up with sex therapy but all is not working.
He grow up being attracted to men only starting from childhood and we all know about it but thought he will change over time.
