Culture › Re: Is Sickle Cell The True Explanation For The Ogbanje/abiku Myth by youngies(m): 4:39pm On Dec 21, 2010
The only part that is yet to be cleared up in this whole Ogbanje = SC study is the part that some children who were considered to be ogbanje were given huge body marks so that their parents could identify them if they should come back to them again.

These children stories has it that they do 'come back' again with the same body mark that was given to them in their previous life.

I know of one old woman in my village who has a big cut on her left ear, it was said that her parents gave her the mark in her previous life. Some children have their names tatooed on their body, stories have it that they still come back with it in their next life.

So it may be possible that many Ogbanje children were SC sufferers, but not all

Nairaland General › Re: Celebrating Olubusayo Awomolo ( Bawomolo) by youngies(m): 3:48pm On Dec 07, 2010
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Awomolo,

I learned of the unfortunate and untimely death of your son and my friend Busayo. There are no words to describe the utter grief that I am feeling right now, and I cannot possibly imagine the shock and sorrow that has been thrust on your family as well.

It is true that he was taken from us too soon, and I think you share my sentiment that it feels a little unfair that such a smart and talented young man's life has ended with so much living left to do. It is my firm belief that bad things that happen to good people serve a greater good, and Busayo's death will, I believe, teach us all something if we only let ourselves be taught. Right now, we all are trudging through the mourning process, but with support from friends and family, I think we can find ourselves whole again.

Yours in mutual grief,

Mr occultist you think it's funny, as i speak 7 ships carrying atleast 4 thousand people were seen sailing down the river niger headed for what security operatives believe might be ondo. The ships were heavily armed and they destroyed an army garrison at kangiwa, kebbi state when they tried to intercept them. I don't know why this useless nta is not reporting it.
Channels Tv just reported it. They showed clips of heavily armed men chanting, singing and dancing on board.

As much as Dr Amos Adamu is in thenbad books of many Nigerians i still maintain , he who offers a bribe is as guilty as he who collects. The journalists are also corrupt, they knew what they wanted. Did they investigate all the FIFA members and then only Amos Adamu fell prey or did they just go to him alone and then concluded that he is guilty. the courts must look into this seriusly. NIGERIANS ARE NOT AS TERRIBLE AS THE WESTERN WORLD MAY WANT TO PAINT US.

Really I can't find what seem to be the problem with GEJ speech clarifications.
May be it is the mindset of people that are bent on twisting whatever he says to score some cheap points, or like someone suggested - simple lack of comprehension
