Yes she's a princess but that's not the reason for making her the Omu of Atani/Ogbaru. It was a merited title.

@gidgiddy, Just so am not mistaking, this Omu Anioma title is no different to Omu Eze title of Stella Oduah right?
You're very correct. The Omu title is found in some sections of Anioma and it's quite old.

That's why total lockdown without provision for the poor is insensitive and stupid.
I'll tell you sincerely that criminality is more of the problem in SA than the hunger. The government pays them grant monthly. Among those going for the looting are those who can afford to buy those things they're looting. The homeless including street kids(equivalent of agberos and almajiris) were taken off the streets to a secured area by the government. They're sheltered, fed and clothed with security around them. They've done more than Nigeria can ever do for her people.

But what if at the other hand, this man is genuine who wishes to rescue the world from drowning. I don't trust him though
I like people who think a bit different from the majority. They help to drive in new ideas. That said, let me go straight to the point.
Assuming he wants the best for the world, how best can it be handled? Is it by sterilizing people? Not good. What if he has better information than the majority of the world and it seems population control/reduction is very essential presently than people can imagine. What then is the best solution as the world population has continued to grow astronomically. The danger it portends is very great and these elites don't want to die because of it. Who then will bell the cat?
The problem now is what presents the greatest danger to the world. Is it human population increase or the negative effects of mining and industrial pollution? Clearly, the later presents more danger and should be the main cause of concern. The other thing is that powerful men right from the ancient days have always dreamt of having the power to control the whole world population. This is what Bill Gates and his likes are trying to do and it points to greed and the lust for absolute power. Therefore, the revolt against him and his group is timely right.
However, the danger of population explosion is real. The earlier East and South Asia plus Africa control their population growth, the better for everyone. If it's not done naturally, some desperados may have to do it for them.

This video doesn't seem complete. The one I just saw now on AIT is more painful to watch. Seeing Nigerians act like savages, robbing a moving truck scrambling over food broke my heart. If after this Virus goes, we go back to the status quo without bringing our leaders to account then I'll know Nigeria is a dead and buried case. This is too much to take
I can bet you any amount that they will go back to their zombie state after the lockdown. They'll still queue to vote the same criminals and insult the only hope they have.

SA government has done a lot for her people. The problem is that there's only so much that government can do. Private groups are also helping but it's not enough. Most people don't understand that adjustment is needed in periods like this. They still want to live life the way they've been living before the lockdown. Looting of big supermarkets already started including shops of foreigners in the township. This isn't xenophobic... it's hunger plus criminality just like the 'one million boys' of Lagos. The earlier the lockdown is lifted the better the sanity of the masses... Nigeria's case will be worst as the day go by.

Lol. Where's the Fresident op za 'giant op Aprika'? He's busy burning lots of energy on image laundering and shadowing Idris Deby while his SA counterpart is playing the role of leading Africa to seek solutions towards the pandemic on the continent. I wasn't ashamed when a friend from East Africa asked me what Nigeria was doing to assist smaller African countries. I told him what I've been saying for years. I told him to forget any assistance from Nigeria; she's big for nothing. "Individual Nigerians can help your country more than Nigeria herself". Is Ngozi Okonjo Iweala not helping SA and poised to help Africans more than Nigeria? Did Allen Onyema not do the same to stranded people of Nigeria when they were distressed in SA? Has Prophet TB Joshua not helped other Africans immensely?. Nigeria is useless under the present terrorists at the helm of affairs. Forget about Nigeria.

Same way bubu phase 1 rose, and Abacha, and Babangida, to name just a few.

Were you not born when we were fighting for democracy? Have you forgotten why? Are you not strong enough to make it work? Pity.
Good you mentioned those people and they're the only people who had the power to fix Nigeria because power under such situation is absolute but they all failed because they don't have what it takes to do it. Kagame, Sankara, Rawlings and Ghadaffi all came through the same process and left indelible mark in their respective countries. Why did those from Nigeria fail? No elected leader in Nigeria can achieve any thing because he would have been compromised before being allowed to mount the chair. From history, only northern muslims have successfully carried out coups and settled to govern and they all failed. So, towing that line will be disastrous and coups are no longer accepted. This leaves us with restructuring or disintegration. Personally, I don't see restructuring happening because those with power today are reaping hugely from the fields that belong to others and wouldn't relinquish it without a fight. It makes almost no difference to them with disintegration. They'll rather fight than to allow any of the two. We must come to terms with this and take the bull by the horn. Nigeria has failed and those who wish to live and grow must fight to live. All great nations did so and became great today. Stop wasting your time for a dead contraption plagued with death and backwardness. Who's still talking about Sharia in the 21st century If not madness?

Lol. People are so blind... The terrorist fulani government decided to appeal to the emotions of Edo people recently with the fake pardon of Enahoro and Ambrose Ali and thereafter, they sent their agents to bomb the state and start pointing towards Igbos to cause disaffection. Tell me; have Igbos been involved in bomb blasts before? How can we leave the terrorists up north and start attacking our close door neighbours with whom we've shared a lot of history together? I wonder when my fellow Igbos will stop falling for the antics of the terrorists from the sahel.

However, your defence for them makes no sense,
If famous French speaking Africans, like Football star Didier drogba, Samuel Etoo Fil, Demba and the peripatetic public speaker Professor Lumumba amongst others, have bluntly condemned and spoke out against it.

Moreso, the doctor has apologized as quoted below,

“I want to present all my apologies to those who were hurt, shocked and felt insulted by the remarks that I clumsily expressed on LCI this week. "

This is the type of people we have in Nigeria that are frustrating any effort in changing the status quo. They should be treated exactly like the problem.

Dewze:
The main purpose of the mask is not to prevent a non carrier from catching the virus, rather it is to prevent a carrier from infecting others. Since Buhari has been tested and found to be free of the virus, he does not need to wear a mask. The people around him have to wear it, albeit ceremoniously, to show that they are protecting the number one priority in their presence from themselves.

I said ceremoniously cause they will probably take off those masks when the cameras have stopped snapping.
Suddenly, Buhari has grown shorter. Lol
The way the world will mock Nigerians in the future ehn... chai... it will be very shameful.

Research is for strength and better conviction. It's not for jobless people neither is it for illiterates. I'm a Biafran and so wish to learn from you. Do a research about the origin of that particular name in Kenya. If it's tied to our own Biafra, then it's a plus, if not, then we leave it and move on. You know very well that Nigeria, with our numerous tribes and vast population, is nowhere like two tribe Rwanda, and besides, there's no way we would put up with Kagame's human rights violations! Iraq and Libya had similar rulers, and we know how it ended for them despite their "short-term plans for electrification, portable water access, transportation, healthcare".

Perhaps the problem is we did not fail like Rwanda failed, which goes to show there's a lot more failure to go, and I say that despite our own civil war. Rwanda had an outright breakdown in morals so might want to put up with more than we are willing to put up with.
Wow.. Nigeria lost at least 2 times the population lost by Rwanda and descended worst than her. You seem to love human blood if you're saying we didn't go down less than Rwanda. How many people do you want dead before enough will be enough? Hypocrites and sycophants are as evil as the main criminals(perpetrators). Let me prove it to you. Rwandans case was swift in damage and quick in rectification. From that year till now, unreasonable killings stopped dramatically paving way for the steady growth and development they're enjoying today. In Nigeria's case, the killings lingered and a fake pronouncement was made. Meanwhile, some people assumed the position of conquerors and continued the killings till date. Majority of conquerors bring no growth or development. They're just their for themselves as the fulanis have shown yet Yorubas will side with them. They've succeeded in destroying Nigeria in all facets and led hitherto progressive people to a standstill. See you promising Nigeria was but today her children have turned refugees all over the world despite the wealth she has. Shame on all those defending the indefensible.

Are you so unwilling to work for your President Tony Elumelu?
How did Kagame rise in Rwanda? Was it through elections? Nothing good can head Nigeria from election.

Thank you OP for this. The truth is clear for those who chose to face reality. The fulani government of Nigeria doesn't want to wipe off boko haram. They don't even regard them terrorists rather they're using them for their own gains. How much have they stolen so far? How many young men have the various tribes lost to a ragtag group due to fulani moles in the army? I wonder what sort of spell is used on the people of Nigeria.

Your entire write up almost brought tears to my eyes
So apt
I've so much to say but I don't want to sound judgmental, abusive and uncivilised

Your write up reflects a true Bendelite/Mid-Westerner

Truly you asked
Where are those who lived in that era
Those who benefitted from his regime
Those who know the truth? ??

This shows that on this forum at least there are not many people from Mid-West born between 1974 or even 64 who know the place of Mid-West in the history of the entire Nigeria, who want to speak up with dignity and not the misplaced pride of some other regions and states or tribes...

Sad...
Some even said the region is known for cultism, prostitution and thieves
Hmm what an insult, what lie, what bigotry...

But it's not fitting for me to answer such or indeed any comment cause it will form a thread of itself

Bottomline is that the late Prof Ambrose Ali was a man of integrity and good works. He said he was innocent of the charges and I believe him. He does not need Buhari's pardon but would have given him one if he where to be alive.
As for Igbinedion paying the fine, that's story for another day. God reward his intentions.
For Buhari believing the charges against Ali and turning his eyes against Ganduje those of the other regions especially his side who truly committed crimes and fraud against their states in that 2nd republic (79 - 83) may God judge him.
For those who believe and those who know the truth and deliberately refused to speak out, may their cases be as it was for Ali but with mercy.
For Obaseki who engineered this and now the Ali family would benefit from financial gains acfruing to past governors, may your intention be revealed and rewarded accordingly.
For me, the mercy of God.
For all of us truth and justice
The question most Christians especially southerners fail to ask is this. Why the pardon at this time? Most things fulanis do is strategic; it's never for fancy. They're trying to pacify something. We must learn to read between the lines. Nothing is for granted. They're trying to stall any crystallized resistance against them. See all the other prisoners released; they're all Christians. They trying to appease and create stumbling blocks in our ranks to challenge the power they currently control. We must not fall for it. They're certainly not doing anyone a favour releasing those men or granting an innocent man a pardon. The best they should do is restructure but even that, they won't agree. Let's be wiser.

It's a strategic pardon... Orji is released to go and try the pacification he failed to do before. All these other guys were released for similar reasons. Most Christians don't think strategically. You'll see the spoiler roles they'll assume in their respective states and geopolitical regions soon.
