@imperiouxx sorry for derailing your thread. Abeg send me one of those ur R&B songs. Not john legend this time grin

Sincere apologies to fadinus and all those that don't like to hear the truth. Many times I've decided not to comment on here but I'm kinda hooked. Don't know why I keep bringing myself back here. The romance/politics section is on point. I guess that's where I belong. Still working on it...
He's not a freshman just wanting to take a fresh start I should hope , bt wht if he was, what's ridiculous about dt? Don't we see people @ dt age still looking for maths n English, God forbid any of my family to b in dt shoes thou....bt pls try to watch ur words sometimes, not all ur expressions need to b put into writing.....
You are getting it twisted.

Its VERY ridiculous to go in as a freshman IF he has a prior degree/Associates. There is a difference between what you want and what is expected. You don't need to go in as a freshman to change careers. If he hasn't attended a tertiary institution prior to this then he has to explain to the VO. Anyone that can comprehend written english would not be emotional when I say "jokes apart". Say I've got a BA in econ and I decide to become a BS nurse, would I apply as a freshman? No. Is it ridiculous to spend another 4 years as a freshman? Yes. Will I be denied because I didn't transfer credits? No. All other factors will be considered. Sooo tell them what it is that upsets you?? Huh?? I'm not interested.

I'm responding to you because you did the same. I CHOOSE TO SAY WHATEVER I WANT. You mentioned my name yesterday as a cover because you wanted to go hard on somebody, but I chose to ignore. Please stay on your lane. How about this,> Its not every feeling that you put in writing....

imperiouxx: You don start again.....LWKMD o!
Loooool my dear, who are we to question God - the Master creator? Teheehee. You should be appreciative for your cuteness. wink jokes apart, facial looks is not important, but overall presentation is. I heard that people will facial scars or acne are less likely to be favored at job interviews and its scary. I donno how true that is.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by Yvete(f): 8:14pm On Dec 29, 2012
Presentation matters in my opinion.

That's a good degree he's got there. I don't think its about the degree. For a VO to laugh at your face is quite sad. There could be other factors that work against a visa applicant. For instance, poor grammar, improper dressing, ... Or bad looks grin grin (this may not be the case in this situation though).

At 25, you should have at least attended a higher institution prior to your application with either transfer credit, associates or a bachelors degree. I'll say the truth that its ridiculous if you're a freshman.

The reasoning behind the bolded could be the problem. If she(you) 'answered well', there is no need to seek additional answers. If anyone's parent is unsatisfied with the educational system why would they enroll at Unilag at all? From the lil I know, the educational standard there is pretty good.

Ask the 22 yr old to share her experience herself in full to be critiqued/guided/helped accordingly.

Yeah right! Nothing went wrong with the interview yet whoever it is (prolly you) was denied. To get answers, people need to tell their experience in full. If people that were denied did not share their experience, how would you know what to watch out for?

Snazzygirl: Merry Christmas House.
@ Yvete, pls I really need ur help with dis.... Do u knw San Jacinto collge? Any thots on San Jacinto VS Houston Community Coll? Wc one takes better care of F-1 studnts? No sensible info online ...Thnks dear.
Sorry for the late response. Both schools are good and inexpensive. Since you're going for Pre-Med, you may prefer San Jac because of its smaller campus body, student-teacher ratio, etc. Most of my friends with nursing degrees went to San Jac. I think its more science inclined than HCCS. International students pay the same fees (Out of state tuition - Intl.) so cost is not a factor. San Jac is far in the north side unless you live in that area.

HCCS has more campuses across Houston (maybe about 7) so its easily accessible from any part of town. Plus you can take classes anywhere and change campuses anytime. Its very diverse - a haven for international transfers with a guarantee of at least one Nigerian in your sciences classes cheesy cheesy yeaa. You have the option of schooling online for almost every class if you wish.

Hope this helps.

D sage: Many of you guys saying intelligent, intelligent, if I may ask,how many single ladies are intelligent?

It depend on what you refers to as intelligent. Most of the ladies I knew,I will actually give them 85% in terms of social life but when talking about the ability to engage in intellectual discussion most of them are not up to average.
Its quite unfortunate that you mingle/interact with such ladies. Remember, you are what you attract.

I wholeheartedly support #DailyNews, check yourself and use that to set standards for the partner you desire. A friend always says "don't look for Beyonce if you're not Jayz".

@ Imperiouxx, my brothers tried to buy insurance at their schools and this is what they got. Some schools are MEAN!

Insurance Requirements are as Follows for international students and J-1 Exchange Visitors:
An annual individual deductible of no more than $500.
At least $50,000 in medical benefits per accident or illness
At least $10,000 for medical evacuation
At least $7,500 for repatriation
Individual policies and plans offered online to individuals will not be accepted shocked shocked as an alternate health insurance policy. Waiver request submitted with private insurance policies will not be accepted.

Hmnn...It's important to verify from the school before any private insurance arrangement.

Seunbunmi: Heloo my ogas @Imperiouxx and @Yvete
Am trying to buy the insurance package at the website u guyz gave me, but is telling me i have to start the coverage plan with today's date still when i want it to expire,my question is should i wait till when i get to US before buying it or i should go ahead and buy it? pls what is ur advise?

Culled from Murray State for F-1 students

Make the purchase on arrival

F-1 students are required to obtain health insurance for themselves after they arrive, OR provide proof of health insurance purchased before/after their arrival. If you fail to show proof of health insurance or to purchase insurance after your arrival, your name will be purged from enrollment records at the university. This means you will not be allowed to attend classes. IIS provides information on general health insurance plans for international students, or you may provide proof of insurance from another source. The opportunity to purchase insurance here will be provided during orientation.
