FrankTalk1: Please if you are in this UBA flight, when is your target exist price? I am in uba and wish i had bought more when it was sleeping. Well, i think uba is heading for a showdown with access on the unit price seniority list. Access may have to move up or risk being jumped over by uba. Fbnh Q1 result if good may move fbnh, giving access and uba room to contest their way up the tier 1 league, sorry, price table. So thats what i want to see b4 exiting my uba, fbnh q1 result. I am relaxed in the belief that uba is not falling back to the N5 region anytime soon. M thoughts all. |

Uba is repricing. There is no mystery. The tier 1 bank is pricing in its better-than-expected Q1 numbers. Barring unforeseen developments, ten percenters will regret their premature exiting. Consult an investment expert. |

myjoy08 post=32 ;D957744: ...Very disrespecting to UBA for unity bank to be listed on the same level with the PAN-AFRICAN bank! Well, currently, power will change levels . You get it, bro. Africa's Global Bank, self styled or not, to come and huddle together at same price "junction" with unity, an almost regional bank. What an insult. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 3:23pm On Apr 21, 2015 |
Born2berich: Yes but the seniors too will move upwards. Just watch. Your word is proving true. After the new unitybank stubbornly refused to drop from the N5 spot, a day after listing, see how uba is jumping away from that place, even on a bearish day, feeling too proud to share a price junction with that kid. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 10:35am On Apr 20, 2015 |
bigass: bad move by Unity bank to do 1:10 they should have done 1:5. Now they have 11bln share outstanding at 5Naira. 2.50Naira with 22bln outstanding would have been better. I can not see myself buying Unity Above 3Naira. When the expected correction bottoms out, that concise 11b OS, plus foreign investor interest, will make unity the hottest stock in the market, until they conduct another round of money raising to balloon out the oustanding shares all over again. Money raising is a continuos thing with nigerian banks. |

Born2berich: Unity bank has been listed at a price of N5.. I dont expect the likes of UBA, Diamond etc who are trading below N5 to sit arround and watch. I expect the banking stocks to react positively to this. The new Unity will steeply nosedive beneath its seniors. |

courage89: My brother, this explanation is incomplete.
Upstream - Simply means exploration and production. Finding oil and gas, drilling, completions, getting the oil and gas to the surface of the ground. Support services to develop these assets for exploration, drilling and completions. Marketing of oil and gas products from drilling and completion activities. For example, Oil blocks, Gas fields, Oando Qua Ibo Field, Ebendo Field, Akepo Field
Midstream - Involves gathering oil and gas from different production facilities or terminals, transporting them via pipeline, trucks and other means to final destination where there will be value additions. It also involves building of Gas Oil Separating Units to separate oil, gas and other contaminants for easy marketing. Building of compressor stations to transport gas, pumping station to transport liquid, pipeline to transport oil and gas. Marketing of transported products is also involve in midstream activities. For Example; Seplat pipeline to Warri Refinery, Seplat Oben Gas Plant, 200 MMScfd Oando Ogbainbiri gas plant and others
Downstream - Involves value additions to crude oil and gas products. Marketing of separated products as a results of value additions. For example; building refineries to make gasoline, gas oil, LPG and others. Also building petrochemical complex such Olefin plants, Propane Dehydrogenation, Poly Olefins Plants and Others. Example of downstreams are Kaduna Refinery, Portharcourt Refinery, Eleme Petrochemical Complex and others. Many thanks to you, kagame and others for the education. Was it Bill Gates who described the internet, among other things, as "Information At Your Fingertips". I for one am learning a lot here. |

Chief Olajide(3 times), pls get on the phone and help me persuade your clients to come out tomorrow and sell their uba, to force down the price a bit. This is to enable my company achieve its short term goal of acquiring 5% stake in the pan nigerian, pan african and global bank. We aim to complete accumulation at under N5 unit price, and b4 the sectoral band wagon rally you talked about takes hold, perharps to be triggered by the elephant's Q1 result. My coy is gunning for uba as Ucheson's is after oando. |

olajide8: What shall it profit a man- if Q1 results are good and Q2, Q3 and final Q send the stocks to 2.30k - just saying, the choice is yours look before you leap! Which means you buy stocks based on Q4 results only? Well, some people walk by faith, while some walk by sight. You're chief of the later group. |

Crude oil may soon be heading real south, with the entrance of Iranian supply into an already oversupplied market, and oil is the fundamental of the nig economy. But let's put that in the backburner for now. For now let's be at alert. Fbnh can single handedly reverse mkt direction even today. From the days of Soludo fbn had influence over mkt direction in ways that many did not realize. And it has just posted a better than expected result. |

immanuello: well let see, he did nothing for uba. Buhari momentum was what made all stocks to soar, which include uba. But let see...... It was a relief bull. The president elect has my congratulation. But his economic policies and management team are yet to be seen. It was the sudden disappearance of the great election tension, helped greatly by GEJ's swift concession of victory and embrace of change himself that made stocks soar. |

was only talking about fidelity na It has hit the roof and the only direction now is downwards. Only people that love playing with knives will board that bus. Hmn.., my brother, I think you are misreading fidelity. Notice that it closed flat today instead of dropping like many in the sector. Fidelity actually wants to go above 3 bfore closure of register. But it only halted it's movement today when it saw zenith, fbnh, access and uba all running back screaming, because of one monster bear that nearly captured stanbic and gtb who had exuberantly ventured too far ahead of others up up the road. But now there is hope that the sector elephant with new found courage will motivate the bulls to rally back and subdue that terrifying bear tmorrow then fidelity anand others may continue their northwards journey. |

igboboy3: 0.10k + bonus shares . I was hoping for at least 0.40k, make i use the money buy cigar
All these bonus shares sef! ..One day, they will do share reconstruction The fathers of nig banks love the feeling from high volumes of shares in their holdings. I heard also it's one of the ways to guard against hostile takeovers. That is, you go buy shares tire bofore you go come overthrow the oga them for the board. |
